  1. Wait you guys don’t already know
  2. Hoid ( not sure about noble)
  3. Did you make a major breakthrough about vax that I missed or is that wax
  4. Still why make the most powerful weapon ever created go to the hands of an unhinged assassin I’m sure if cultivation really wanted to she could have found someone slightly more sane also renarin makes it impossible to See
  5. And then cultivation gave it to...! The crazy herald
  6. The question really is: why would vasher give the most powerful weapon in the cosmere to a shard/bondsmith spren or was nightblood stolen...
  7. Sorry missed that Nahz also mentioned there “are rights to becoming a CS” or something I doubt you need to contact a shard b/c then kelsier would have needed to do something to have preservation help him
  8. There are shades on thronody...
  9. It seems like vasher can handle himself even with nightblood I don’t really see him giving the most powerful weapon in the cosmere to a random shard in the forest. I see it as: vasher leaves nalthis for easy investiture then steals nightblood from someone then wanders into-cultivation who steals nightblood then cultivation gave it to nale when he asked for a weapon that ‘knows justice’ And b/c of Intent and nales backward meaning of justice he gets a weapon that has no knowledge of what justice is
  10. Wow never realized! only one question... how long did it take you to find this
  11. Ok so we know that when Eshonai died she sticks around as a cognitive shadow for about as long as a mistborn ( minutes not seconds) that was with her only saying the first ideal this got me to thinking... what would happen to a windrunner ( or any order) that sayed the 5th ideal then immediately died. How long would they stick around for... days, weeks, years ... forever? thoughts?
  12. dalinar already does this to contact queen fen and the emperor of Azir in OB...
  13. WoK: interesting side character that added pretty much nothing to the overall plot but nicely written WoR: Great flashbacks maybe a bit to much “ shallan knows the best in everyone” OB: veil becoming a person feels weird and the whole breakdown was from out of left field RoW: not a fan of timeskips generally I don’t like radiant veil or shallan by themselves... formless was such an added plot point after revisions. Didn’t like the pattern is the spy scene “pattern our most trusted friend is a spy... and now for the next plot point.” Literally nobody cares about it for 500 pages I like it overall but there is just to much craziness l. book 1 had good stuff in ‘normal’ shallan
  14. I got it killer of white someone is going to kill szeth in the first chapter
  15. Isn’t everything
  16. I’m not sure about this but I remember seeing that nightbloods cammand pulled in ruins investiture And it did it b/c it was so connected to it so maybe b/c preservation and ruin created an exact human it brought in a soul from the place like the Beyond that’s why they have souls and spren don’t
  17. Yes this is the hole in the theory ( among many) as a scadrians obviously have souls It could be because of the unique nature of ruin and preservation and using a template from adonalisium they were able to somehow create a soul this is a complete crack theory with absolutely no basis whatsoever but it could explain scadrian nonsense any ideas?
  18. Yes that was one of my favorite things in the book
  19. No this is not a misunderstanding there is a fundamental difference between animals/human and spren Humans are not entirely made up of investiture unless a “soul” is completely made up of investiture ( which would mean stabbing anyone with anti-light would kill them) there is something else in a human that provides sapience my theory( nothing here obviously is confirmed just my understanding) is that that extra thing in a human goes into the Beyond Spren do not have this. they are complete investiture, which is emulating human life, but isn’t human life. When they are destroyed with antilight there is nothing left to go on. however cruel it may seem their gone forever ( unless you count thermodynamics matter cannot be created or destroyed only changed( paraphrased) ) Again just a theory not a fact I also probably contradicted myself a few times but whatever
  20. When the actual person dies, this investiture imprint remains behind. A copy of the soul, but not the actual soul. I took this to mean that investiture is not the soul but maybe I was wrong
  21. Maybe there is an auto bond to a deadeye spren that you made then she wouldn’t need a gem to bond it and can summon and dismis it and other cool lightweeving just a theory
  22. Spren are just investiture gaining sapience higher Spren just have more investiture I don’t think they have souls or are ppl thyre living ideas once you remove the investiture there is nothing left humans and animals have souls that cannot be destroyed
  23. I read it as the investiture was completely destroyed I don’t think phendorra went to the Beyond
  24. So many things in part one were forced kaladin wanting to be a surgeon and ALL the quips in the battle over hearthstone
