  1. Agreed. Playing in perpetually suspicious manner has its benefits, but it tends to bite you when the village can't find better options.
  2. Well, that's it for the Broken Eye. Goodness, I love this series. I forgot so much, and it's helping reveal the foreshadowing at the same time as letting the big reveals hit as hard as they need to. Spoilers through Broken Eye. Also finished Wrath of Empire. Definitely good, but nowhere near as good as the first Powder Mage series, or Glass Immortals. Looking forward to GI2 or Montego, whichever I get my hands on first. Started A Blight of Blackwings since @Treamayne reminded me of the series. Decided to skip A Plague of Giants because I've already read it thrice and I have a feeling I would have burned out on it, and I remember enough to go off of. Now to decide what will be my next audiobook. Probably Night Angel, Dresden 3, or Daniel Green's book. Not sure yet.
  3. Should I take a break? Yes, yes I should. I'll spectate I think.
  4. Nice edit. They fit in pretty good.
  5. A little sign of what's to come Zurvanite, no real spoilers, just opinions with no details cause I want to gush. Just finished the first of three Graphic Audio sections for The Broken Eye, Gunner is so so so fun. He's mad in the best kind of way. We get a lot of him through the series, but I still wish I got more. Andross is still amazing, probably the single best villain I've read, and @Treamayne Gavin is on the best kind of journey, though he himself isn't doing much to entertain, those around him are and will until he gets where he needs to go to shine. Between him and Liv, who is one of the weaker characters for me despite the insights her chapter give, are a great source of the deeper worldbuilding, which I am understanding much better this time. It's so fun to see amongst the world of dark people and grim circumstances, there's some people that shine innocent light, unprejudiced and untouched. For now. The only thing that weighs me down is Teia, I never really liked this storyline (well, I didn't hate it on the first readthrough cause the worldbuilding was interesting), in fact, it's what killed my interest on the last reread I tried. All in all, so much better than my memory gave it credit for, good enough to get me to take another stab at Night Angel, maybe I'll actually remember to read the second book this time.
  6. Yeah, definitely not running a game right now. Probably not running a game until spring, but don't bother putting me as inactive.
  7. Referencing the rave doc style? That was an early attempt to get myself engaged. Didn't really work, but I'd agree it does have a nice aesthetic. I'd also recommend a grey dead doc, it has a similar dreary look that I quite like.
  8. Firstly, sorry. Secondly, Woo-hoo! Thirdly, thank you to @Szeth_Pancakes for this confusing game and @Elandera for doing a great job moderating some of the more difficult aspects of this game. Great job to the village, you deserved this win, but we need these low active elim games to keep us in check. I'm sorry if this was a source of your discontent, but I would like you to know that I definitely didn’t make a conscious decision to be inactive. The end of football season just wasn't a good time to play SE, and I definitely underestimated my busy-ness. Even when my life cleared up a little, it was just really hard to engage like I would have liked to. I don't enjoy winning games via inactivity, and I'm sorry you lost to it.
  9. Oh lucky. I'm on the Broken Eye currently on my reread, and so reminded of how much I love this series. You're in for a treat, especially if you're enjoying the Andross interactions. Some advice I wish I had gotten on my first read-through, pay attention to the interlude style chapters (the tap superviolet tap blue things), beyond even what you normally would. They'll clue you into some important things later. I'm still on Wrath of Empire by Brian McClellan. I'm liking it the most of GoBaP, but none of them have stood up to Powder Mage or Glass Immortals. Think his strength lies in uncovering the secrets of the worlds, and it's hurting GoBaP.
  10. I'm voting STINK and killing JNV. I suppose I could go the other way around, but I'd rather the kill I have control over be on the one I suspect more.
  11. Posting a post that only a mod can see? That's the only thing I can think of and it's probably unintentional. Is there any way we can see the name of the "Next unread topic"? The topic listing would be nice too, but not as important. We could on the old version and I know that I would use that to gage if I wanted to go or not, not necessary, but helpful.
  12. First of all, so fresh and so clean clean, fantástico new update. I would rather you did but it's certainly not required. @Mark IV, sorry I took so long to respond. I actually wouldn't be opposed to that plan. I can kill JNV while we vote STINK and complain Frust. My complaint isn't quite recharged (I used it on Aeoryi), but I'm sure one of us has a free complaint floating around.
  13. I actually think Mercy's a decent guess. The power is obtained through what was supposed to be mercy killings after all. Mercy's definitely more more likely than Valor imo. Ambition would be my guess though due to them being Threnodites.
  14. I think it would be fair to ask @Szeth_Pancakes if we could get the cycle shortened to 24 hours. Probably will get some wonky corrupted response, but we can hope.
  15. Yeah, my only sticking point would have been "hey, isn't this exelo, why wouldn't the elims pull something like this," but I've been so busy lately that I doubt I'd have questioned it as much as I should have. The only other clue there was was how Sart responded. No trying to claim that he had the Gun, no claim other than a simple "that's a lie." That's probably the main thing that would have made me catch on as a villager.
  16. To be fair, I have ~50(!?) games under my belt at this point, and I 100% would have just straight up believed Exp if I were a villager.
  17. I think you're making an additional connection here that shouldn't be made. The missing elim kill very well could have been for another reason unrelated to complaints. I understand what you mean now though, thanks.
  18. Loving the irony of this line Sart: Correct end result, incorrect logic. Good game everyone, it's good to be e again and flex my murderous muscles. Inactivity was certainly a problem especially with control-killing-e!me. Unfortunately I wasn't too active either, probably need to take a break until sports calm down. Great job to Exp for doing the majority of the heavy lifting while I made quips in the corner, thank you to @Kasimir for running it, to @Araris Valerian for IMing, and to the Mighty Gods of Luck and Chance for tipping the Gun into our hands.
  19. ...did you miss the part where there was no exe? Trying really hard to understand where you're coming from.
  20. ...it overrode everything? Right? Exe was stopped (or else I wouldn't be here talking right now), elim kill was stopped, my investiture acquisition was stopped. Someone else said their action was stopped. Doesn’t seem that good to me.
  21. Well my vote is that we don't try on me. But yeah, that's fair. If the complaint removal did indeed cause the reroll, I don't think it's the best idea to use it necessarily.
