Obrigado. So not crazy useful to cause one, but there might be reason to. -
Quick Fix Game 69: Dark One: Too Light
The Unknown Character replied to Archer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I fully realize both factions get vote change, but it is extremely difficult for the village to coordinate it in a meaningful way (and the chances of friendly fire are much, much higher) , whereas the elims can almost certainly use it to create exlo a cycle earlier. I suspect based on past games that the village will burn their vote change earlier than they should. Again, not what I think. And when you'd made this comment I had all of a single post. And, Tis d1, mech is pretty much all we have, especially as relatively early as I had posted. @Kasimir, got reminded of your question by Mat also missing it. I think the ability to double and remove is an elim leaning mechanic, but only one vote per turn is actually a bit village leaning. It removes a bit of elim strategy but very little village reading capacity. I'd say removing isn't that useful, except maybe to cause a tie (what do ties do this game?), and we should probably save our doubling for the turn before and the turn of exlo. There's also some smart strategies the elims could try to do, but I won't say too much about them because they're a little counterintuitive and therefore they might not realize. -

Hi there, hello, TKN-OtB here, back with another post, remember to post, vote, and blast that upvote button to the moon guys. Like through the roof guys. You got that? Okay on with the post. So my only observation so far, elims have double voting power, yes? So we need to be worrying about exlo a bit earlier than normal. On second thought, it's not too bad, maybe only a turn before there would be exlo anyways, but something to keep in mind regardless. -

That's fine, should note he's an universe hopping human that I figured I could slide into the Dark One universe pretty easily. He's got all sorts of illusions if you need him to look like a drull.- 316 replies

I'll confirm myself as playing. Character will be Koran, though we'll see if I actually do any roleplay as him.- 316 replies

Speaking of inactivity filters, what's everyone's thoughts on "You must post equal to or more than half the average number of posts per person." That feels like it would be pretty good to encourage a high posting game. Combine it with a roleblock if failed, make it three cycles before removal. I would also think there should be an alternative for lower active people of "You will not be penalized for failing to meet this requirement if you vote, respond to at least two separate PMs, and start at least one PM (it will count as one of your responses if you respond to the other player in the PM you started)." -

I will be, but I'll be judging whether I'm going to play or not off of how busy practices make me.- 316 replies

Hmmm. To join or not to join. That is the question. Go ahead and put me down as playing, but I might nix that a few days before starting depending on how wrestling goes.- 316 replies

I will spectate this one as well because I definitely can't keep up that level of roleplay. -

That's what I was getting at. They're called Terminal Seekers for a reason. They're pretty close to even, but most would probably make a case for Coinshots being worse, so in either direction. I kinda misphrased the tone of that end comment, it was less of a suggestion and more of a genuine question. My logic on it being pretty powerful for certain teams is because a team that's good at making fakeclaims and powerwolfing can pretty easily (well, not easily, but shed a lot of confusion on it) hide the absence of roles. Most teams and most tactics it wouldn't matter too much though. -

@DrakeMarshall cause who needs sleep. The coinshot feels a little bit to cheep to remove. Should probably be equivalent to the Seeker, or one in either direction. Mistborn feels a little under priced. Average is 8.125, so 8 is probably a slightly better price, but it's not too far off. The elims can currently make the game basically roleless (leaving only Smokers and Tineyes), which could be very powerful for certain team comps. Not sure if you want them to be able to do that. -

In Capitalist Tyrian Falls, roles are metal monopolies, and the player with the roles can ask whatever price they want. Whoever has the most money at the end wins. But two players can choose to join together to make a corporation. If a corporation is made, those two players immediately win and everyone else loses. -

Personally, I think the idea still applies. Nothing better than time travel, especially when it encourages high-active-village-cannibalism. -

613b. Do mate with other species if you want your child to be the main character and have no love for them and don't care that they're going to live a difficult life of pain. 613c. But otherwise, don't mate with other species. Bad idea. -
What Are You Reading, Part 2

Re-read. I try to make most of my audiobooks rereads. Doesn't always work out that way, but that's what I prefer. I got stuck on Ghost Story my first time through, so I'm hoping I can climb the audiobook chain right up to the latest one. -

Agreed. Playing in perpetually suspicious manner has its benefits, but it tends to bite you when the village can't find better options. -
What Are You Reading, Part 2

Well, that's it for the Broken Eye. Goodness, I love this series. I forgot so much, and it's helping reveal the foreshadowing at the same time as letting the big reveals hit as hard as they need to. Spoilers through Broken Eye. Also finished Wrath of Empire. Definitely good, but nowhere near as good as the first Powder Mage series, or Glass Immortals. Looking forward to GI2 or Montego, whichever I get my hands on first. Started A Blight of Blackwings since @Treamayne reminded me of the series. Decided to skip A Plague of Giants because I've already read it thrice and I have a feeling I would have burned out on it, and I remember enough to go off of. Now to decide what will be my next audiobook. Probably Night Angel, Dresden 3, or Daniel Green's book. Not sure yet. -

What Are You Reading, Part 2
The Unknown Character replied to Chaos's topic in Entertainment Discussion
A little sign of what's to come Zurvanite, no real spoilers, just opinions with no details cause I want to gush. Just finished the first of three Graphic Audio sections for The Broken Eye, Gunner is so so so fun. He's mad in the best kind of way. We get a lot of him through the series, but I still wish I got more. Andross is still amazing, probably the single best villain I've read, and @Treamayne Gavin is on the best kind of journey, though he himself isn't doing much to entertain, those around him are and will until he gets where he needs to go to shine. Between him and Liv, who is one of the weaker characters for me despite the insights her chapter give, are a great source of the deeper worldbuilding, which I am understanding much better this time. It's so fun to see amongst the world of dark people and grim circumstances, there's some people that shine innocent light, unprejudiced and untouched. For now. The only thing that weighs me down is Teia, I never really liked this storyline (well, I didn't hate it on the first readthrough cause the worldbuilding was interesting), in fact, it's what killed my interest on the last reread I tried. All in all, so much better than my memory gave it credit for, good enough to get me to take another stab at Night Angel, maybe I'll actually remember to read the second book this time.
