  1. Q shook her head, trying her best to smile but it didn't come through. "It's not going to work, I tell you. But okay."
  2. Q gestured to the crackling fire to her left. "Yeah, yeah. Figured that you would want that."
  3. "Don't look at me," the man said. "My powers are far more... intimate than that."
  4. Q was looking up at the sky, her eyes closed. She had been wiping her eyes when they called to her; she held her long, silvery blade tightly in her other hand when she had done so. She turned towards the others and raised an eyebrow at the new person. "All right," she said, skeptically but didn't even looked fazed that a new person had joined. "Did you at least get what you were looking for?"
  5. The man raised his eyebrow. "Would love to come peacefully." His grin grew wider. "But it seems that you have been taken care of already."
  6. "I told you," the man called out to the soldier, chuckling slightly. He looked up, his eyes widening with a mad grin plastered on his face. "I'm not interested in your program. You're going to need to stop before things get messy, my good sir."
  7. The man dug into his pocket, pulling out a large wad of cash. He shrugged and offered it to Kaesiel, grinning wickedly. "People tend to give you stuff like when you kill some people for them."
  8. "Slips of some kind of fabric." He waved his hand in dismissal. "Something very similar to my world's currency."
  9. "Last I checked," the man said, cutting in, "the currency looked to be of dollars. Specifically in this country, from what I noticed."
  10. Hmm, yes. I've been making breakthroughs lately, whenever I'm not role-playing or doing schoolwork like a good student.

It seems that the more you post on here, the more reputation you'll get. For some unknown and perhaps abstract reason: the funnier the post, the more reputation you'll receive. No one will give you reputation for responding to role-plays or something unusual like that, unless it relates to something relatively amusing. When you're posting a status update, you'll most likely receive some reputation for it, but not like a truck load. As far as I know, not a lot of people receive a truck load of reputation from one post, unless it's emotionally valuable, humorous, or you merely happen to have a lot of followers.

Let's take Fadran for example, and hopefully he won't come at me. He has over eight thousand posts (to be specific, 8,218 as of when I'm looking at it), and out of those eight thousand were about two thousand repped (to be specific, 2,129 as of when I'm looking at it). He has 58 followers, out of me have no clue are active. I will note he joined the Shard in October of 2019 and will make two different equations. Therefore on average, forgive me if my math is wrong because I'm dreadful at it, about 3468.333 and so on of his posts are receiving reputation from his followers alone, if we're excluding the date he joined. If I were to add when he joined, the average would be 3106, which is considerably different than the first equation. I don't think that's right average considering I'm not taking in account of the people who might rep him for some posts that do not follow him, but who knows or cares currently. The point is I did some math. I'm also not taking into account of the people who are not giving him reputation for role-plays, so this is possibly inaccurate.

But when we look at Connie (please don't come at me), who has 10,570 posts, 1,294 reputation, 66 followers, and joined the Shard in January of 2020, it doesn't make sense that of when you post more, you'll get more reputation. Her average would be without the date involved, take this with a grain of salt, 3976.666 and so on, of course without counting the people who rep her without following her. Her average with the date would be 3487.5. Both of the equations do not take into account of how many role-play posts she has, so both of these equations are possibly inaccurate. Fadran has more rep than Connie, but has fewer followers and posts than her. Is it because he is more humorous than her, or because Connie does many role-plays? It is possible it's because of when they joined the Shard, because Fadran joined four months earlier than Connie.

This obviously requires more testing, but this is what I have presently. Did this status matter? Not really. Merely wanted to do this instead of watching a documentary for school.

Perhaps Bearer of all Agonies. He's really popular.

      Ugh. People these days. :P

I don’t turn on post notification for people I follow, so I don’t get notified every time someone does something. I still get notifs when someone cool posts a status, like you, so therefor, I rep it. :)

I actually get repped pretty often for roleplaying. Writing a good, emotionally balanced scene is the perfect way to grab a few upvotes. Never underestimate the power of prose.

I have my own equation, however:

Fadran has x posts and y reputation. If he has 58 followers, then how much does he care about upvotes? Answer? He doesn't!

  11. "You can try. Others have tried that, my dear," he said, his grin almost in tune with the playfulness. "As you can clearly see, that didn't get them anywhere."
  12. "Hit a nerve, have I?" False pity showed in his eyes, but there was a certain playfulness to them. "At least you're paying attention this time."
  13. "As I said before, kitty cat, I'm interested in what they're doing. Maybe if you sit down and pay attention, you might just learn some of the answers to the questions you have."
  14. He chuckled. "No." He gestured to the others. "They are the ones that need a hideout. I was merely offering the one I took over to them, but it appears that you already have that covered."
  15. The man shook his own head. "Only if you stay out of mine, kitty. Would hate for you to be a part of the mess that seems to following me wherever I go."
  16. "No, no." He shook his head, smirking. "I understand that. Everyone has a problem with me, and I resolve their problems by either talking it out, or something that I do more frequently: execute justice on those that either see problems with me or stand in my way." Madness shone in his dark hazel eyes. "You see, kitty, you're not the only one that went through some traumatic event that changed the course of your life. You're not the only one that has decided to be the hero. You're not the only one that see fault in me." His chuckled quickly turned into crazed laughter. "You'll either learn to deal with it or to face me about it. I'll gladly talk it out with you."
  17. "Is that bitterness I hear?" he said in false sympathy. The man made a tsk sound. "Perhaps I said something that's put you off. Perhaps it's because of what I'm doing or what I'm wearing. Perhaps I remind you too much about something... maybe someone. Perhaps I remind you too much of yourself, though I doubt that. You're too hot-tempered to be me. So easy to put someone down because of what another said about their appearance." He gave a laugh, madness dripping from his eyes. "Being unwelcome is not a new thing for me, kitty. I'm interested in this endeavor, no matter what kind of army that fellow has raised to do so. I'm only saying if you have a problem with me, say it and maybe. . ." The man cocked his head, the mad grin appearing. "We can figure it out together."
  18. Instead of objecting, he gave a wicked grin. "Whatever you say, darling."
  19. "You mean follow the cat, correct?"
  20. The man nodded. "Practicing patience, I see." He glanced to the others, even though he had only walked into their conversation two minutes ago. "What do you think? It's not my 'quest' that we're talking about here."
  21. "We all do." He gave a mad chuckle. "I assume that yours is more accessible and doesn't have bodies littering the entryway, as mine does?"
  22. "I'm sure you are, kitty," he said with the hint of skepticism, not elaborating. "I'm here because they need to find somewhere to hole up. I have no clue what they're doing."
  23. The man didn't bat an eye. He shrugged, chuckling in madness. "Tell that to the people that ended up with a bullet to the head by yours truly." The man looked up, pursing his lips. "I don't think that would matter to you as it would for the passerby."
  24. The man sidestepped with ease, his hand reaching inside his coat pocket. "Uh uh, I wouldn't try that if I were you." He cocked his head towards Concerto, noticing that Concerto was watching him. "It wouldn't end well for you, kitty."
