“Yeah, alright,” he muttered, rolling his eyes, though the smallest hint of a smile peeked through. Ji folded his arms. “Do you think we should find a different safe place?”

Ji gestured around him. “Splinted it with what?”

“Well, obviously,” Ji said, gesturing to her. “I don’t think you would be cleaning your jacket if you broke something.”

“Eh, we’ll figure it out,” he said, picking up the first aid kits and making his way to Elya. Ji set them down by her feet. “You holding up alright?”

Ji walked back into their hideout place, glancing back every so often to make sure the group was following. He adjusted the pile of first aid kits in his arms, then set them down on the ground in front of him. He gestured to the place. “This is it, so far,” he said to Ceph. “Probably shouldn’t be out in the open, but yeah.”

Ji looked him over, then sighed, his veins dimming. "Fine, whatever. Just... keep up."

He looked at Ceph, his veins glowing softly. "I didn't ask you to come with us."

Yeah, you: The one that clicked on the notification and is reading this, or somehow found your way to my profile.
I just wanted to let you know that you are doing great. I know life is rough. I know how stress is weighing down on you, and things in life are not helping that, but the fact that you're still here––pressing on, even if it's a little bit at a time––is saying a lot.
You are never, ever alone. It might feel like it right now, but I'm here for you. You might not know me well or at all, but I will always be here to listen. I just don't want you to feel alone. I know that it can seem like you are, especially when you're surrounded by people, but there are people who will always be by your side.
It's okay to feel emotions. It's okay to cry. We all have those times when we're most vulnerable, and you don't have to go through it alone. The people who love you are not going to watch you suffer alone; all you have to do is ask, and they will be there to help.
I love you, okay? I'm not just saying that. I really do. I know it feels like no one loves you, but trust me when I say that I do. Now, go out. Be you. Laugh when you're happy. Listen when people need to talk to you. Let yourself cry when it's hard, but do not let yourself remain in that state forever. I know it's hard to get yourself out of that, but there are people who care about you and will help you.

He nodded, grabbing his stuff. "Don't get into too much trouble, Gramps," he said, making his way out of the garage. Gramps scoffed, but waved them off. "It's not me you should worry about."

An uncharacteristic yelp escaped her lips as the bike went faster. She clung to Ellis, Thyella slipping from her grasp, disappearing in a puff of smoke.

Gramps stared at Kazh. “Not willing to help you, no,” he said. “Unlike anyone here, they have a brain and know when to not get involved in insane things like this.”

She slashed one in half, its dark blood spattering all over her arm, then kicked another one before it got too close. Q held onto Ellis for balance, wobbling slightly before ramming Thyella into another revenant. “Can this thing go any faster?” Q growled, impaling another revenant.

“Ah.” Q brandished Thyella. “Would you happen to know what kind of ranged attack?”

How to Train Your Dragon and Toy Story 3 came out in 2010, which is about twelve years ago. "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen and The Avengers came out in 2012, which was about ten years ago. "Hello" by Adele and Inside Out came out in 2015, which was about seven years ago. Your Name came out in 2016, which was about six years ago.
Another thing to think about is that the people who are twelve or turning twelve this year were born in 2010.
Saying these aloud made me realize how old I am.
