The mods will interpret the rules as they decide. Until then, I'm going to address the one outstanding thing here. Let's use an example: Perhaps you've heard of JK Rowling, the author of the hit series Harry Potter. Perhaps you know that she has allegations of transphobia against her. But do you know what specifically? As you can probably tell by the example, there's a lot of kinda... bad stuff here. Perhaps worse than just the term "transphobia" can describe. Now consider this: When you're buying a Harry Potter book, guess who's getting paid? Now I'm not telling you to stop reading Harry Potter or whatever, you can make your own decisions, but I do really think that it is important to realize that the full picture is much more than meets the eye, and that you have to be mindful of who you choose to support. Verdance, I don't think anyone is forcing you to stop listening to whatever you want to listen to, or doing whatever you want to do. And no one would leverage the label "ally" against you in order to manipulate you into doing something. But Spartan has a right to be concerned here. You can say one thing, but if you're supporting someone who is known for doing terrible things within the LGBTQ community, you're not really helping. So just be mindful.

yeah! Pronouns are kinda like clothes. Men can wear skirts and not be trans (such as femboys (or Scottish kilts)) or the other way around! women can wear traditionally "masculine" clothing and not be trans! (such as tomboys!) pronouns are kinda like clothes in a way where you wear the ones that fits best for you, the ones you like best. Whether or not they correlate to gender or wvafever doesn't matter

okay in actuality it's kinda complex There are people who are cisgender for a good section of their life and then become transgender, because people change over time. There is no doubt about that. However, there is also a fairly large group that simply never really formulated an opinion on their gender to begin with. Are they considered cisgender? Or do we not know that yet?

Transgender just means that you don't identify with the gender you were assigned when you were born. I would argue that pronouns are not exclusive to being transgender; I know many, many people who use pronouns like "they" who do not identify as a gender different than that assigned at birth. Transition is not required to identify as trans, nor is there really a clear point at which a transition ends. Consider this: if one needs a major surgery in order to be trans, and they need to be trans to get that major surgery, how would that even work? There's really no requirement for the label transgender other than that you're not cisgender, basically. If you're on progesterone (which is probably unlikely, but possible), it could be caused by that. In which case, you should meet with your HRT provider and discuss with them about that. But changes in mood and stuff is a known effect of HRT. Not a well studied one, but something that is known to happen. especially if you have drastic changes in hormones you'll probably experience mood swings (for example, if you were to stop abruptly, that would also cause mood swings). Fun fact: hrt doesn't actually care whether you identify as transgender to work. It just works regardless.

Suggestion - other ways to gain reputation
Aeoryi replied to Deception's topic in 17th Shard Discussion
by that very same logic threads that are more prone to spammy behavior/require more activity are more likely to be rewarded by the proposition you are making. I would also argue that your system does absolutely nothing to reward posts that are detailed responses to questions, which you agree should deserve rep. I also was not proposing that post count should replace reputation. I was simply noting that a metric for viewing a user's contributions is already in place. I don't know if what you're proposing is really a solution to any of the problems you have listed, nor do I think something like this can/will be implemented at all. Reputation kinda isn't the point of being on the shard, it's kinda just a bonus. -
yeah basically

Suggestion - other ways to gain reputation
Aeoryi replied to Deception's topic in 17th Shard Discussion
As @Through the Living Hopper previously said, the only way in which this is better is by giving the person who makes the OP of a topic a whole lot of rep. Replies don't necessarily represent contribution more than reputation currently does. People are likely to rep a reply if it helped them, for example. In this case, people viewing the thread later can determine which posts are most important by viewing the most liked posts. People are also likely to rep a reply (or topic) that they may agree with. Reputation doesn't represent contribution accurately at all, in fact. I would direct you to the number of posts a user has, because that accurately represents their contributions. -
Suggestion - other ways to gain reputation
Aeoryi replied to Deception's topic in 17th Shard Discussion
It's only rewarding the person who made the topic in this case, not rewarding actual contributions made by people who respond to that thread. In addition, even if someone replies to some topic, that doesn't exactly mean that said topic is actually deserving of reputation. Replies are disproportionate to a topic's contribution, and reputation granted through this way is therefore also disproportionate and essentially meaningless if the prerogative is to reward contributions. -
