No worries. I have a lot of personal history with hearing that word be used as a method of hate speech, so I'm a little bit more sensitive to it and want to really hammer in the point that it's not something that's okay to just be encouraging people to do, even as a joke.

it doesn't matter whether or not you consider it a slur it's still polite to be respectful to how other people will react. Especially if you wouldn't want anyone calling you by that term then maybe it isn't okay to be using for other people either, mmm? treat other people the way you want to be treated.

some people consider the second one a slur so please be careful. it was used in a derogatory way to refer to people with mental illnesses in the past (it means "slow" in French) and so some people might really not like you using it

I really really dislike people who self-diagnose or claim to have mental disorders that they don't have a diagnosis (such as ADHD or OCD). it detracts from the difficulties of people who actually struggle with that thing, who don't get to arbitrarily decide when it gets to affect them or not and honestly it is just disrespectful to the people who have that disorder. As for people who legitimately believe they may have something... If you seriously believe you might have something like a mental disorder then you should consider going to a professional to figure out what's going on and how best to help yourself.

I seem to recall one of my friends mentioning that it has intimate scenes in it. The entire thing is only 3 chapters and like 150 pages. and it was written on a library typewriter, 10 cents at a time. Ray Bradbury is mostly known for short stories though, so this makes sense. still a classic. I kinda didn't like the ending of f451 but worth reading nonetheless

Scythe is an incredible book (didn't like the sequels). I read it at a young age, and it's targeted towards teens, I'd say. It does deal with death, but not in a way that a lot of other books do (there's basically no violence in the entire book). 1984 has NSFW scenes, I believe. Be cautious. Fahrenheit 451 is good but it sure has aged a bit and it's not really a "book" moreso a "story" yeah your elo is too low

on the forums at the very least. I know rasarr does the AoN stuff. And every mod comes around to deliver the roundhouse kick to the spam bots every once in a while. but if you haven't seen the discord it might be confusing why there's seemingly a lot of inactive mods.

no why are you six seven on this day you know you get 3 name changes in 90 days

Oh I remember Kaymyth. Good fellow. Used to do the writing sprints back on the shardcord. Hope they're doing well LewsTherinTelescope became mod (again) near the end of my time on the shard but they seem pretty chill. Notice they engage with book discussions more. Tbh so many of the newer sharders are petrified of seeing a name in red or blue. It's kinda funny.
