      The image i have is this guy who’s like a massively skinny ninety year old redneck with scraggly white hair staring up at a tree for an hour before stapling one of those sanitation ratings from like the back of any place that serves food on it and it says like three or something and then he skips away cackling and does that to every rock, bush, vista, and other natural thing in the woods, maybe he rates like a dead deer 98/100 or something.

    That's okay! It is, after all, entirely up to you who you want to be. Tbh most parents are probably just going to react by waiting to see if it's actually a thing, sorta like when you say you want to do X but they don't believe you so they just wait it out

    Maybe. I've only heard the term used to describe relationships, though. It's not that big of a deal, but I'd always be wary of using unfamiliar labels. I did a deeper dive:

    Sappho was like, the poet who wrote Yuri before Yuri existed, and literally comes from the place that lesbianism is named from. (To be clear, sappho wrote erotic literature involving lesbianism in like, 600 BCE in lesbos, Greek) Sapphic is a word that derives from her name. I've only ever seen the term used for wlw relationships (and occasionally nb/w relationships) and a quick check of wikipedia agrees with me, I think

    Sappho was a historical famously lesbian person from which sapphic is termed; I believe it refers exclusively to wlw relationships
