Telleran looked down on Luthendel with his two spiked eyes. Somewhere, somehow, within those blue lines, were the scum. Kelsier had returned from the pits of Hathsin. He glared down at the city, which was now shrouded in mist, with a hateful stare. I will find you, Survivor of Hathsin, the inquisitor thought to himself, And I will have a hook rammed down your throat. "Get the Obligators to start their search," He said to a nearby Prelan, "We will not stop until the rats are rooted out of this city."

"... Manifestion of the spirit and the soul comes in... Wait what? Oh yeah. Probably needs some otherworldly magic to help it cross dimensions." Light worked well as a base, but sometimes it just needed more power. "Do you happen to have any magic, sir?"

"It works somewhat similarily to a shardblade. Something to do with sapience generation and sentience forcing requires more time spend forming a bond." Melody shrugged, as if she didn't understand what she said. "Of course, I have no idea what that means."

"When did I say that?" Melody said, and then shook her head a bunch, as if she was trying to get something out of it. "Oh yeah. Right. It's a standard Seeking Mechanism."

"I don't even know how this works! But that's alright! Do you know how this works?"

"I'm okay with being in a minor occupationally hazardous environment!" Melody said, excited. "Let's goooooooo!"

"If you don't mind, I think it might be a good idea if I accompany you. Steel Inquisitors are normally invincible, after all."

Melody grabbed something that was probably Rue's, and then made a blueprint of it, and then attached it to a bunch of chaotic swirling lights that looked like they could Cascade at any point. She held it in her hands, and waited. "This will be able to locate Rue across dimensions, realms, portals, whatever."

"Yes, but I don't know where her room is."

"Okay. I'm going to get you to stay in this room for 30 more minutes, and if anything starts to hurt or the buzzy feeling starts to become worse, tell me immediately, okay?"

Melody sighed, and then started fiddling with colored lights. "Do you have any possessions of Rue, or any trace of her whatsoever, so I can make a seeking mechanism for finding her?"

Cinder pressed some buttons on the device, and then it activated, completely healing the patient. "Do you feel anything wrong, or does anything hurt intensively?"

"Should I make a portal to Scandrial, and go searching for her there? According to lore, the inquisitors would've taken her to Kredrik Shaw, I think."

"It won't be near your throat. It can function perfectly fine if you are just touching it."

"Do you have a connection to Rue, or any knowledge of where she is? I can go and retrieve her if you do."

Cinder placed some sort of device on Auryn's hand. "This device will heal you. Do you have any concerns regarding the usage of magic in healing and resolving medical conditions?"

"Where is Rue? What happened?"

"Do you know where the person is?"

Melody paused. Was that... Crying? Not my business, she thought, unless... She turned and looked. Somehow, she recognized it as TAAron. That could only mean one thing. Why is it always rue? She walked over, and knelt down next to TAAron. "What happened? What's wrong?"

Sono was not impressed by this trick. Princess, if you keep on disappearing to escape temporarily, eventually you'll just lose connection to reality, and be gone forever. So please, stop fooling around.
