Actually, RB's, that might not be the best idea. It's possible that Reading is TLR, has aligned with the elims, and is hoping to use the information of who all of the village roleblockers are to help the elims. Obviously, it's also possible Reading is village and was saved by a roleblock, but if I were a roleblocker I'm not sure I'd want to take that chance.

There's only been one so far, and I responded to it a few comments up.

So Gears more or less made my argument for me; I don't like this trend of accusing people of being an elim for theorizing about what the elims would do or what they know. Making people wary of trying to share their thoughts on what the elims are doing will most likely benefit the elims more than us. With that in mind, I'm tentatively voting JesterLavorre.

Yes, I know, that's why I said the idea itself was far-fetched. Again, just a thought. I'll try to contribute actual serious commentary after I reread D1's thread lol

This is possibly a far-fetched idea, but could the elims have submitted their kill on one of their own who was spiked, knowing it might make us suspect that person less?

lol I mean that's true... they might have just been bored and figured this would be the most influential thing they could do with their ability (hey that sounds like something I would do oof). Aside from that, knowing that someone might have been trying to kill Aman doesn't really tell us much, since it was likely because Aman is a skilled player, and either an elim or a villager could have been worried about that, depending on what they thought Aman was.

That would have seemed likely if Illwei had turned up elim, but since they're actually village it doesn't make much sense that anyone would have trusted them enough to want to save them, at least not on day 1, when none of us have any information. Edit: Unless the elims wanted Illwei alive for some reason? But I can't think why that would be...

lol that seems like a great plan but something tells me it's not gonna work out.... By the way, this is just speculation but I wonder whether the elims know why their kill failed... like, whether it failed because they were roleblocked or because they accidentally attacked TLR? Edit: That is to say, did Matrim tell them what happened in the PMs where they submitted their action, or do they have no more idea than we do? Not that I actually expect Matrim to answer lol it's just a thought.

Oh that makes more sense. But like I said, no one is going to claim that because then the elims would likely target that person. It's in their best interest to eliminate roleblockers, as I believe @Gears pointed out last cycle? May not have been Gears, not sure.

Though now that you've said that, *none of the elims are going to claim saving Reading*. So it's sort of a mute point lol

I'm not quite sure what you mean... it's possible (though very unlikely) that a villager in the Canton of Inquisition submitted a roleblock on a random person, or someone they gut-read as elim, and that they happened to be right. Of course, they would have no way of knowing whether it was them that lead to reading surviving and they wouldn't claim anyway, 'cause the elims would likely target them next. So I suppose if anyone claims to have saved Reading they either can't know for sure or are an elim, but I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to do that...

There's no role that saves people, unless you mean that someone might have roleblocked whoever submitted the kill on reading?

Well I guess all our talk last cycle of what to do if someone survived a kill is going to come in *very* handy this time around...

Bearer voted Illwei for no reason. So now everyone's voting Bearer. Personally, I think it's just newbie syndrome on Bearer's part.

That's true of experienced players, yes, and experienced elims, from what I've seen, try to vote D1. But nobody really expects a player to immediately get what's going on during their first game, so if you're an elim your first game it's pretty easy to fly under the radar (which, again, is what I did during the QF). At this point in the game? No. Keep in mind it's only my second game, and no amount of logic or past experience with other social deduction games can make up for knowing a player's play-style. The most active players so far have been you and Illwei, and I don't know enough about you to know whether you're being suspicious or not. As for Illwei, I thought they seemed suspicious last game and I *was literally an elim* so I don't trust my reads of them very much.

Personally, I don't think that Bearer is an elim, or that it's worth voting for them. I mean, for self-preservation reasons, I guess I see why Illwei and Aman are, but think about it: newbies who are elims their first game (like I was for the QF, so I know what I'm talking about) would generally be counseled by their fellow elims in the elim doc to keep a low profile (like I was) and not vote on the first turn, certainly not without good reason. Also they likely wouldn't have to ask how to do the colors. So I don't think it's Bearer.

Okay, so while I was eating lunch I was thinking about some of the cantons and how their abilities work and I have a couple a bunch of questions: First of all, is every obligator necessarily part of a canton? Are all the inquisitors? Is TLR? Because if everyone except for TLR, or TLR and the inquisitors, is part of a canton, then rolescanners could be used as alignment scanners as well, right? Second, can the Spiked and Compounding roles be roleblocked? That is, if we suspected someone of being TLR or an inquisitor and wanted to lynch them, would it help to ask obligators in the Canton of Inquisition to (anonymously) roleblock that person? Also, can TLR's Overseer role be roleblocked? If it's roleblocked, can it be used the next turn or does TLR have to wait two turns? lol I'm sry I have so many questions....

That's fair. Just seems a bit odd to claim other people are suspicious for not using a playstyle similar to yours.
