The elims may have decided not to attack at all. To cause confusion, to keep us from getting any more info, to keep the number of people who could be mix'd as high as possible, or to use their actions to get items from the Supply instead. Also it's already been said multiple times that they were unlikely to attack me because anyone paying much attention could tell I was planning to protect myself. But fine. Ashbringer

emphasis mine Ashbringer Uhhhh what? First of all--yes, I suppose it could have been an elim asking the question if Sart rephrased it (which I suspect he did since now that I think about it he's rephrased some of my questions). But why would... we don't know whether I was the target? Either you seriously messed up your phrasing there or that was an elim slip.

Well, if you think about it: If I assume that this question was asked before rollover, as a general question about how LoFs work... well, that really doesn't make sense, actually, since normally it's announced in the write-up who's been attacked even if they do survive due to protection (as opposed to roleblocking). So you would know that your protection blocked a kill--I for one was assuming it would work that way this game. So unless it was someone who'd played/read the previous run of this game? If it worked that way? In which case they would be asking about the write-up? But then it wouldn't be asking about the write-up because they'd already know the answer to that question. Either way, now that I think about it I'm pretty sure the question was asked after rollover, once we'd seen that no one died. But then whether it refers to the write-up is irrelevant, because the only person who'd ask something like that is someone who drew a Line (notice the phrasing "my Line of Forbiddance") and wanted to know whether they were responsible for the lack of a kill. So yeah, I'm assuming they weren't asking about the write-up, or at least if they were it was because they'd drawn that Line. I believe Illwei meant Archer when she said "you". Since he was the person she was responding to with that post.

The phrasing of the question he answered was "If I block a kill with my Line of Forbiddance, will I be informed?" I didn't ask that question, or any version of it, since I figured the answer was no. And given the phrasing, someone was definitely at least thinking about drawing that Line at some point. Can confirm that Sart doesn't answer rules clarification questions in PMs, so that person wouldn't have known the answer to that until just now. (also whoever asked that question is almost certainly village since there are no kills that the elims would need to block right now). Obviously speculation and not well-founded (and now that I've said it reads vil, anyone could try to claim they were the one who asked in order to gain vil credit). But yeah. That was my thought process behind that.

I am... slightly confused by the grammar in the first part of this sentence. And yeah, I realize in retrospect that they likely wouldn't attack me--unless they're fond of being meta and are thinking "maybe she won't actually self-protect and will just let the idea of it protect her" or whatever, but that's dumb and tinfoily so ignore me--but in the moment I wasn't... idk what I was thinking. I do wish I still had that Chalk : P

meanwhile everyone's village reading me for exactly those two things That was me not you lol Archer got the name wrong. this was the other reason I protected myself last Night : P not Ash specifically, but the fact that anyone with Chalk can take Items away from others. I must admit, I kind of assumed Chalk would be way more plentiful than it is just because it has so many uses and everyone starts with one at the beginning. Miscalculation on my part : P

Correct--the point of the RNG plan was that it assumed that elims would entirely ignore it and use their Chalk elsewhere or save it, while villagers would actually do the thing.

You can't grab an item if you use an action. So no, to the general current knowledge I don't have any Chalk. And. Yeah. In retrospect that was something of a waste (well, unless it turns out they actually targeted me in which case I 100% take that back). I was thinking they'd target me because A. Specialization and B. Lantern and also I just wanted to do something Also Lanterns aren't valuable items, so idk why the Thief would want them I like the post too--though, then again, this is how Archer played their first (elim) game I think... lol Wait so what do you think Connie is then, the Thief? *confused*

I mean. I did start off knowing there was at least one person with a Specialization that wasn't in the Supply (spoiler alert, it was me). Also I wouldn't let that kind of thing slip as an elim : P I spend way too much time worrying about whether something I say shows TMI. elim!me does in fact feel guilt. I just... ignore it until after I'm dead or the game is over. I would contribute something meaningful to the conversation but I apparently am just... not good at reading people, which I suppose makes sense since it's been like four games since I've had to and before that I was too new to really try. I find myself agreeing with... actually all of Matrim's reads, though? Uh. Should that concern me? XD

I'm gonna go to bed soon but a note before I do: Much as I dislike the idea that the elims would do this, since it shifts the whole point and structure of the game, Gears may well be right. The elims have exactly nothing to lose from not killing us--the more of us there are, the harder it is for us to find them. The more of us there are, the more mix's they can get. The fewer of us die, the less information we gain. And they don't have to reach parity this game. It's also possible that they were blocked, targeted a protected person, or forgot to submit an action. But we seriously need to consider that they may just... not kill anyone. That would make it a lot more important for us to be careful who we exe. If you have solid reads against Illwei, or if she's acting the way she has in past elim games, or if something she said doesn't sit right with you (and the same goes for anyone else) then yeah, voice your concerns. But we can't afford snowballs, so joke votes and RNG votes and votes for no apparent reason are... probably not the best idea right now. I mean, I can't stop anyone, but... yeah. : P I used Forbiddance. That protects me, not the Camp. You plus Kas plus Mat = 3, so that checks out unless someone else claims to have drawn a Line of Warding. Edit: Sorry for the double-post! I thought Unknown's was after mine : P

shhhh we don't talk about that right? It would be funny if I'd managed to block the N1 kill again, though... RNG won't work this time because some people have used up their Chalk, either Defending or doing other things. We likely can't get an exact count of how many, meaning that we don't know what number to RNG with to ensure that we have enough Lines of Warding.

Camp Defense was 3. I used a Line of Forbiddance (edit: on myself), which is my Specialization. If someone attacked me their action would have been negated... which might not have been reflected in the write-up. I'm not sure.

Okay, I just wasn't sure 'cause original rollover was at like... 7pm my time and then last night it was at 9pm. So I was wondering whether it'd go back to what it was before.
