  1. I mean, that is partially correct. Given that I'm the one who actually started it.
  2. I don't know for sure that the Doctor is Gears but I'm positive that they're not Matrim. I have never seen Matrim talk as formally as the person in the doc did. And yeah, that about Dannex could be true but that's too tinfoily to actually base a read on. I'm not clearing Dannex. I currently consider him null village, a read that could easily change. And in case it wasn't obvious, that's not what I mean by "crazy overestimations." Yeah ik. Not reading them one way or another for the moment. I mean, idk about everyone else but if I'm vil and I have to vote selfpres, it helps to convince me to do it if I also suspect the person I'd be voting on. Then again, I have chosen not to self-pres before (as village) in cases where I didn't think the other options were elim, so maybe that's just me. It was the timing of it that I thought was odd--guess I should have clarified that. Brighteyes only posted that vote on Ash after a couple of people started saying that maybe none of me, you, Matrim are elim, when previously she had said that she thought one of us was. Probably *rubs eyes* maybe it does? keep in mind that the only part of the game that I've read and analyzed thoroughly is this page and last page. During which you weren't so much analyzing as arguing. Which is normal for you also XD but... yeah. What happens when I flip vil?
  3. Oops I was gonna put a comprehensive reads list at the bottom of that post but forgot I'll wait until someone posts and then send this: Liranil: Village. Liranil's reads post, her affirmation of having taking notes, her explanation of her vote last cycle, and just my general read of her all suggest to me that she's village. TJ Shade: Mild village. This is mostly based on his post looking at the interactions between Matrim, Liranil, and Illwei, but also just a general feel that he's trying to solve. Of course, my tinfoil brain keeps telling me that his suggestion last cycle that there aren't many roles is indicative of TMI, but I'm ignoring that for the moment lol Matrim's Dice: Null/mild Village. I can't point to any specific posts or anything, but Matrim feels normal. Yeah. That's basically it. I don't know what elim!Matrim looks like from a village perspective but I don't... think? it's this? lol Dannex: Null village. This is mostly based on the fact that Dannex severely overestimated the number of roles in the game. I'd guess that the elims are aware that there aren't that many, and have been aware from the start--I'm thinking two vanilla elims at this point? Or maybe just one if they only have less powerful roles. Anyway, the overestimation could be fabricated but I think it's just indicative of a lack of TMI. Illwei: Null village. On the one hand, I have no actual read of Illwei, which maybe should concern me? But on the other hand she seems normal. And yes I know that I listed Matrim as null/mild and not null even though the reason for it is the same but that's just a gut thing I think. Young Bard: Null village. This is purely for the C1 messup about Archer. I do think that an elim would try to be more cautious and not miss anything, to avoid drawing attention to themself. But that's quite a small thing. Gears: Null. Everyone else who I read as null, I'm not going to list individually, but I will just mention (once again) that I'm pretty sure that Gears is the Doctor. No idea how to read Gears, but maybe someone else here can? Do with that what you will, ig. Ashbringer: Null elim. Ash's lack of engagement with the game, except through RP, concerns me somewhat. That is, after all, how he played most/all of the AG, which is the only elim game I've seen him in. On the other hand, though, Ash always focuses a lot more on RP... so maybe this should be null, idk. BrightEyes2: Elim. I've already listed the reasons, but here they are: Brighteyes didn't say anything during the first cycle except through RP, until right at the very end where they asked for a VC (and then didn't vote afterwards). This cycle, they seem to be pushing for a focus on me/Illwei/Matrim, and at this point I'm starting to think that none of the three of us is elim. They also ended up voting on Ash, which seems like the kind of thing an elim would do in order to get away with not taking a strong stance on one of the main (village) exe candidates. Everyone else is null, having not posted nearly enough (or at least, not recently enough) for me to be able to figure them out.
  4. Okay, picking up where I left off. Right, I'd say I read Dannex as village just because his crazy overestimations of the number of roles suggest that he doesn't have TMI. If the game is mostly vanilla, which seems likely to me right now, then that would be reflected on the elim team. It could be elim!Dannex intentionally projecting cluelessness about the distribution, but that... also doesn't seem like elim!Dannex to me lol Well. As far as I can tell, this is all entirely NAI for Gears. He always does a role analysis/summary, in which he talks about what would make most sense for the elims to do (I believe it's on the assumption that the elims have either already considered those things or that they soon will, in the cases where he's village. As elim he has to do it to avoid it being an obvious tell). I do find the vote-count request a bit odd, but I haven't played with Brighteyes often enough yet to know whether the rest of that is AI or not. I mean, the emphasis on fewer roles could stem from TMI (if the elims have a couple of vanillas), and the semi-detailed reads also (knowing everyone's alignment makes it much easier to decide which things to ignore and which to highlight), but that's probably just my paranoia talking. Kings_Way doesn't usually post much, in my experience? I know I've been in games with them before but tbh I don't even remember which XD yes this should be official now Probably reasonable to assume that one of the people laying low is an elim : P that's usually how it goes. If the elims decide to sabotage the Hospital this cycle, would the doc from this cycle still be posted? I know votes have shifted onto me since then but yeah, that's true. Illwei given that I had no reason to vote you in the first place, I guess I don't need much reason to unvote you either I'm sure some of this has been said already, but Liranil's reads were mostly gut while the "reasoning" was just her listing what each person has done. As a kind of summary. I was somewhat sus of Liranil in connection to TUO, but I'm not anymore--actually I think I have a slight village read on her right now, due to the reads post. Can't speak for the other people who were mildly sus of Liranil but I moved off of her last cycle because TUO seemed like a more likely exe and I was thinking of them as elims together--a theory which would be proved or disproved by exeing either. What comment on Order? Sorry, I've honestly not been paying much attention to the game this cycle (up until now) so I may have missed some things : P Yeah... I do find that request for a vote-count from Brighteyes kinda odd, like I said... null elim on them. sighhh I see why you'd vote Liranil but I don't think she's elim : P Might be a good idea to do that before the cycle ends, if you have the time Tunnels exist. Especially D1. It didn't feel elimmy to me : P Good point there. I've seen elims mess up like that but (as evident last cycle) it draws unnecessary attention so they do try to avoid it. I mean, I believe it's been mentioned before that Straw is a fan of RNG? Or maybe that was in a PM last cycle. Anyway, if the elim team ended up RNGd as entirely people who aren't very talkative, then Straw might not have changed it. Illwei, Matrim, and I always say a lot. Obviously one of us could be elim (or two of us, or all three ) but I don't think it's necessarily a good idea to assume that (and not just because I'm currently on the chopping block XD I'm not willing to vote Matrim or Illwei yet either--they seem fairly normal so far). Yep. Can attest. This is very very much the case Right yeah that part reads pretty vil to me too (didn't quote it cuz I knew you'd commented on it so I figured I'd just respond once I got to that). Pretty sure Liranil's my strongest village read at this point, though that's not saying much since I only have mild reads on anyone else. Well given that I currently have the most votes (I think?) I can't help you there xD Idk, I'd think elims would just say "I voted for selfpres" because then it's an understandable, NAI reason that people can't argue about with you. tbh I'd say that saying there's more actually makes her more responsible for TUO's death? In theoretical terms. Selfpres is like, "I don't want to vote you but I don't have a choice so it's not really my fault if you die". You think they are e/e or they aren't? double negative = confusion. That too. The village part of that was (to me, at least?) the bit about taking notes. Because idk about you, but I definitely don't take notes on people as elim--I don't have to. I already know everyone's alignment so it's just a matter of figuring out who I want to be right about and who I want to be wrong about, and how to substantiate those things. And even if Liranil's the sort of person who would take notes as an elim, I'm pretty sure she'd have to alter them quite dramatically to make sure there are no slips in there. It'd be quite an elaborate fabrication to produce detailed vil-seeming notes on everyone. This reads elim to meeee... The first part, that is. It basically just... summarizes what all of us already know? it's a very brief overview of the first part of the cycle, with no opinions given. It makes me wonder... idk, if Brighteyes is elim then I'd be less likely to think that any of me, Matrim, or Illwei are elim. It's like they're trying to focus suspicion on us, which (if we're all vil) makes perfect sence for elim!them to do. And yeah, votes in early cycles are generally placed on the most active players because we're the ones with the most material to be analyzed. Aaanndd there's a vote on someone for absolutely no reason : P not helping with my read of Brighteyes. Okay well I agree with everything else in TJ's post but this (should I be worried about that? ). I would be more than happy to vote for Brighteyes, and not as selfpres either. Actually, I was planning to just not self-pres and let this post speak for me once I flip village, but I'm genuinely suspicious of Brighteyes. I agree with everything in Bard's post too what is happeninggggg XD Fair to call my later posts a course correction, since in some ways I guess they were? But just as in "okay I'm gonna take this (a little bit) more seriously now." I've been struggling to find any motivation to put in effort throughout this game so far for some reason... yeah anyway. I'm probably a lost cause at this point, aren't I... Oh well. That's fine. I'll try to get all my thoughts out there before I'm exed, since I won't go to the Hospital doc. Well, I wasn't going to say it just yet but I do think that Gears is the Doctor, based solely on the phrasing/tone/patterns of speech of the Doctor in the C1 Hospital doc. I'm not 100% positive about that, but I also can't see anyone else in this game talking like that XD I find the conclusion of 7-10 people with roles to be kind of excessive, honestly? I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if there's only one of each role. I'm voting for Brighteyes as of this post. This is because of their general lack of participation C1 contrasted with the fact that they requested a VC but didn't vote after getting it, and that combined with some of their more recent posts (providing a summary of events in the cycle thus far, suggesting that one of me/Matrim/Illwei is elim when I know I'm not and I don't think they are either, the copout vote on Ash) Could I get some explanation as to why you're ok exeing Liranil today? She seems more or less village to me--though, then again, I kind of held off on reads during C1 so maybe back then she was more sus?
  5. I mean... obviously not since you now read some people as village? Yeah that's pretty typical lol I... wonder why Matrim was so invested in the number of Doctors? I mean, we were going to find out anyway, so tbh it didn't really deserve discussion except as a way to get things going C1. Idk, if we do eventually find out that the Doctor is elim, I might look more closely at Matrim, who I guess could easily have not realized that the Hospital doc gets published every cycle. Right, my point later on about there not being much to analyze also leads to there not being much to vote on... hence my vote hopping. My first two votes that cycle were on myself (a joke) and Bard (to create a tie). I should have made it clearer then that I didn't intend to leave my vote on Bard--and once I removed it I actually forgot I'd put it there in the first place Later on, I voted on Liranil out of suspicion that TUO voted on Mat immediately after Mat voted on Liranil. Liranil and TUO ended up tied so I switched my vote to TUO. So yeah. Yeah I'm... almost positive that Dannex and TUO were overestimating roles at this point, but I'd say that's NAI because apparently that's just a Straw thing (the only other game I've played with him as GM was a completely vanilla game, so I can believe it XD). I believe that Matrim voted on TUO for the same reason I did (along with possibly a few other things from their brief back-and-forth?), so I'm not sure why she didn't call me out for it as well... once again, idk that vote-switching is really AI rn. Ooo tinfoil opportunity! Archer was an elim--the elims decided to do a C1 WGG, where an elim!SecurityGuard protected Archer while they attacked him. But they also sabotaged the Brig, not realizing that that would block their Guard's action, so Archer died! lol sorry don't listen to me I like tinfoil : P This is... mostly pretty normal for Ash lol so yeah, I agree with that null. Right, I'd say I read Dannex as village just because his crazy overestimations of the number of roles suggest that he doesn't have TMI. If the game is mostly vanilla, which seems likely to me right now, then that would be reflected on the elim team. It could be elim!Dannex intentionally Edit: Why did this post. I hit space. Space shouldn't cause it to post. Ughhh I'll fill in the rest later but like... I was just writing a draft that I was gonna finish around lunchtime so... oof idk
  6. I mean. There really isn't that much to analyze, as far as I can tell. And I've been pretty tired lately, so if there is anything I don't think I rly have the energy to go through and find it. I've just kinda decided to play this game chaotic and hopefully by the time next game starts I'll have regained the drive to do long ISOs and such. But yeah, that's still fair. lol see above : P
  7. Ah, got it. I mean. If Archer said something in his PM that might lead the other person to want him dead, he can say in the doc. In the meantime I doubt there's really much to be gleaned from his having been killed--I mean, C1 kills generally aren't much more reasoned out than C1 exes in my experience. Mostly based on players' abilities in past games and on how recently they joined, whether they're returning, whether they've died early recently or not... so basically, mostly the same stuff that we have to go on for the exe. Only difference is they know everyone's alignment, which... really doesn't narrow the kill pool by all that much : P
  8. I... don't see why that matters? The Brig was sabotaged C1.
  9. Sure, why not. You were already on my null reads list anyway. along with literally everyone else in the game Edit: @Straw Illwei
  10. Right, I'm not saying that me playing not like a villager is village indicative. It's just not elim indicative either : P
  11. Those were my third and fourth games, not my first two. And given that my next three games after that were elim games, I'm not sure my village play has gotten any better. Unfortunately.
  12. ...the examples I cited were LG72 and QF49. I was vil in both?
  13. Which, hopefully, you've now all realized is not necessarily an indicator of elim!me
  14. Of course, I've definitely been informed that I'm not acting like village me when I'm... actually village (see QF49, LG72, this game but you don't know that yet ) Edit: so I'm aware that it's not infallible as a method of deduction.
  15. I mean, I don't think anyone so far has been like "the last time Matrim was elim he did this." It's more been "Matrim isn't acting the way he does as village" or "this is generally elimmy." Both of which are independent of whether you have an elim meta, or what it is : P
  16. <insert joke about pocketing Connie here>
  17. I mean. If Archer got a vanilla claim, he may very well have claimed back. Right? So if he was, say, a Trapper or a Security Guard the elims might have decided to target him. Of course, if that's the case, then he can just tell us in the hospital doc who he was PMing. Edit: ninja'd by TJ lol
  18. I... have no idea. I have a guess as to who they are. But I've never been able to read that person anyway (as if I can read anyone : P) so that's probably not helpful. I'll share my guess if the Doctor ever appears overtly elimmy in the Hospital doc, but otherwise I should probably keep it to myself, yeah?
  19. I... wasn't scared of being voted off? I just decided it was time to remove the joke vote I'd placed on myself lol.
  20. Correct, only people killed by elims or the Trapper are sent to the Hospital.
  21. Well I don't XD my Liranil/TUO e/e theory has been disproved, so I'll leave Liranil alone for the moment at least : P also I know who the Doctor is... Edit: also, surprise surprise, the Brig was sabotaged. So, we have no roleblocks or defense for 3 cycles...
  22. Wait, won't we find out the number and identity of the Doctors once the first Hospital doc is published?
  23. Well, given that my current theory is that Liranil/TUO = e/e, exeing either of them is fine with me. So, Liranil The Unknown Order
  24. I... hmmm I think you're thinking of the wrong person because I haven't voted on you that was Matrim. You wouldn't know me from the AG anyway because I was the elim who got exed D1. And I... don't actually have a village playstyle? I'd like to think I'm not a chaos-gremlin but I suspect I end up that way even when I'm trying not to... but anyway I haven't played enough village games yet to have a vil playstyle, especially since when I'm village people keep killing me before I have a chance to figure it out! lol
