  1. Hmmm @StrikerEZ what was that you said about being up for a Matrim exe? If you switch we'll have a tie.
  2. : P yeah I figured that was the post you were referring to. I mean, Mat did kinda ask us not to kill him in that PM which made me feel bad about the whole thing so maybe being in the PM influenced my decision? But it wasn't like it was coordinated :P.
  3. Er. I mean. That's technically speaking not what happened? Me, Ash, Illwei, Mat, we're all in a group PM together but I for one made my decision to vote Dannex without consulting that PM--except to be aware that Illwei and Ash weren't happy with the Mat exe, which I would have known anyway since they'd already voted Dannex by the time I did : P and then Burnt and Ventyl aren't in that group anyway.
  4. Sure! And there's an equally likely chance that I asked to try to distance myself from the two of them subtly! *crumples up a ball of tinfoil* *throws it at Illwei's head*
  5. Oh lol *facepalm* that... makes a lot of sense.
  6. Okay I've been meaning to ask this for a while but what does "CM" mean?
  7. did you RNG that you think Mat's sus?
  8. I know that nothing's wrong with ties but I've had a lot of bad experiences with very last minute ties that lead to the death of either myself, one of my teammates if I was elim, or one of my strongest vil reads if I was vil. (LG72 C1-C3 with my death being a last-minute tie C3, kinda QF49 C1 although that didn't end up being a tie 'cause I didn't self-pres, AG7 D1, QF50 C1-C2, etc.)
  9. Normally I'd argue against this 'cause ties but tbh at this point so long as it's intentional I guess it's fine? :P.
  10. I... hhhhh okay y'know what I have no read on Illwei and am only voting her because it doesn't seem strategically sound to knowingly exe a villager--not to mention it's a bit unfair to Archer imo--so Illwei Matrim I've been having an internal debate about him and I think I've decided that a few village-y posts at the end of a cycle shouldn't dictate my entire read of him, especially since I haven't seen anything super villagey from him since.
  11. Wait, does the non-Rithmatist not count for the Strength of the Hoard? Either way, I'm keeping my vote off of Archer. After all, if we keep him alive we can exe him later after there's been a Shadowblaze in play and it seems likely that he might have converted. Once he does convert, exeing him weakens the Hoard.
  12. @Matrim's Dice @Random Bystander @Kasimir @TJ Shade @Araris Valerian @STINK so given that there are less than three hours until rollover and the top exe target is, as it turns out, the confirmed village role, would you all consider moving your votes? I have no idea whether we'll hit an elim if we exe someone else but we certainly won't if we exe Archer, so... yeah. Also Illwei, because I'm basically postive that Archer's vil at this point and would rather he not die : P
  13. Oh. Wait. Yeah it is sry for some reason I thought that Sart said it wasn't consumed but it is (went back and checked)
  14. Ugh. I seem to have lost the necessary attention span for writing ISOs on people. Archer's point is that (as I asked and Sart clarified before the game) the Shadowblaze isn't consumed in the conversion. So non-Rithmatist without Shadowblaze becomes Forgotten with Shadowblaze, which is not good. So basically, the Thief knows who to try to steal from to get the Shadowblaze, and if the elims do convert Archer they may well lose the Shadowblaze. Edit: I'm imagining @Ashbringer reading that paragraph and only getting from it: "blah blah blah blah (blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah) the Shadowblaze blah blah blah blah blah. blah blah-blah blah Shadowblaze blah blah blah Shadowblaze blah blah blah blah. blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah the Shadowblaze, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah the Shadowblaze." Edit II: Uh yeah so I take back everything I said in that first bit XD I went and double-checked and Sart said that the Shadowblaze is consumed.
  15. Archer if you're lying it should be relatively easy to figure that out and exe you (edit: in a later cycle that is). Also this means we can keep an eye on you once there are Shadowblazes in play--assuming there isn't one out there already that we don't know about. (btw, I noticed your first RP subtly referenced that you didn't start with Chalk... I was kinda wondering what that was about lol) Now I guess I should look at Illwei, huh.
  16. I wouldn't call Archer last-minute, exactly... there've been votes on them all cycle. That being said, I'm still not sure whether I'm keeping my vote on Archer or moving it elsewhere--I have college essays to work on before I can sit down and do the truly important things in life like SE
  17. : P I dislike ties, near-ties, vote-counts that could turn into ties if one person changed their mind, etc. so I'm gonna place a vote on Archer for now. I have every intention of going back through the C1 and this cycle and looking at both Illwei and Archer, but I don't have the time in this instant and it feels weird not to have voted yet. This is more of a placeholder ig
  18. Well, I mean, how many people actually agreed to do the RNG plan? The ones who were more active, yeah, but did Connie or TJ or Reading roll? We don't know. So I wouldn't be all that surprised if only a single villager rolled, tbh.
  19. Huh well that's better than I thought XD I was expecting 9s and 10s
  20. Before, I just checked the timestamps for the PM and the message where Ash asked Mat to claim.
  21. K, cool! So. Looking at this from an elim perspective, the objective for them is to make sure the Camp is overrun, right? In order to do that, they need to avoid being exed and get as many mix's as possible. Sooo they need to be trusted, right? Obviously a D1 bus wouldn't be the worst idea since it doesn't lower the Hoard Strength, but that's very costly and only works for one person. So... what if they protected the camp N1 and made sure that there was a way to confirm it? The Camp almost certainly wasn't going to be overrun N1 since every villager had chalk and the Strength was so low. So the elims take a Lantern (TJ--or I suppose myself) and then one of them (Kas or TUO) draws a Line. The Lantern user gets a vil read for accurately reporting Defense, and the Line-drawer gets vil cred for Defending, but the elims don't actually lose anything but a Piece of Chalk. Then they can work on taking the other Lanterns (notice there are no more in the Supply and yet no one has claimed to have one) and Chalk and killing any villagers who had Lanterns (TJ or me--either one would explain the blocked kill since we both protected). Scale of 1-10 how paranoid does that sound?
  22. *cough cough* That aside, does anyone want to hear my latest tinfoily theory?
  23. Though it's not like he had a reason for voting Dannex either--the reasoning was literally "I don't want Matrim to die." Idk, I bet elim!me could have gone through and done an ISO of Gears' posts and tunneled on him super hard and found something that would qualify as a reason to vote him. Edit: yes yes yes I know other people aren't me etc. shhhh okay my point is there was almost certainly more on Gears than there was on Dannex, since Dannex had said exactly nothing in-thread
  24. Yeah, I'm not totally sure about Matrim either. Since when I looked through D1 he seemed pretty elim to me, but then at the end his last few posts read super village and the exe felt kind of v/v (at least until the chain on Dannex picked up, that is). The problem is that nothing Mat has said since D1 has really stood out to me as being particularly elim or particularly village... so I'm not sure what to do with that. I would agree with you on Ash having a stronger connection to Matrim than Illwei does--although, Ash did say in a group PM with me, Illwei, Matrim, and some others (before Dannex became an option, I mean) that he would prefer to exe Matrim over Gears, but thought both of them were village. If elim!Ash wanted to protect elim!Matrim, he could have just not said that and voted on Gears instead, since Gears was an option earlier than Dannex was. So unless Gears was elim with both of them, which I find rather unlikely, I'm inclined to think that Ash isn't linked that strongly to Matrim either. Unless you wanted to use it up so it didn't go back in the Supply and get used by the village later. And anyway, it wouldn't be the first time the elims were given a role totally useless to them (me being alignment scanner elim in QF48 for example). It looks good on scans, so there actually is a point to it.
  25. XD yes it is, isn't it? Now you see why I like tinfoil so much huh No, as a matter of fact I'm not gonna stop bringing it up.
