'I'll make it simple; you tell me who you and your friend are, or my associates and I will send you to the bottom of the ocean, financially and physically. Do I need to dumb it down anymore for you? Because both of my guys understood me just fine."
-
"My associates here may look dim, but their very persuasive with the likes of you."

"Someone that you hate, and I don't like being hated. Now answer me, who are you?" The spindly youth jabbed him finger towards Ellis.

I have come. Consider yourselves lucky, for I have taken time from reading RoW to do this. Two large men walked into the room, both dressed in ways similar to street thugs. Their very presence invokes a feeling of dread in the lighthearted. Behind the two thugs came a small and spindly young fellow dressed in a button up shirt and a bow tie, on his face he sported glasses with thick frames. The spindly youth spoke in a high pitched voice saying, "so these are those who interrupted our collecting."

This is an important decision. Do we want to go with the more "classic comic book" powers, or do we want to go with something else? I love a good classic comic book set of powers, but I think it would lead to a more serious tone if we went with something along the lines if manipulating reality. So basically, what kind of tone are we shooting for?

Crystellation: Autonomy for the People
The Ward's Guard replied to Condensation's topic in Roleplaying
Bandar turned to walk back to the building that he had stayed the night in. "Well, so much for those chains that crushing jerk. It's a good thing that I know where I can get more. If yo don't mind me saying boss, but I think that it's time for us to get moving." @Aspiring Writer -
Alright. It's amazing how rarely that has come up in the past page of this Role Play.

Of course, Ellis is known for (Me realizing that I don't know Ellis's pronouns and so instead I make some noise as if I'm clearing my throat at the same time to mask what exactly it is that I'm saying so that it could go either way) excellent memory.

You're welcome. If you ask me, it gets even better as it goes on.

Pior moved to take up the rear of the group. "Don't need to tell me twice."
-
Ros got off of the ground from where he fell and dusted himself off. He started to walk back towards Crescendo and Leonie. "That seemed to work."

Laughs in planning as role playing as the Mafia.

"Just worry about when you meet him again," Pior chipped in.

Did these superpowers come all at once or slowly over time? Were they created on purpose, or was there some sort of unexplainable accident? Just trying to encourage more creative juices to flow.

The people gave Concerto a cold shoulder as they saw him, with the occasional guardsman watching him with suspicion. The colors for the town's emblem had changed, with a new symbol adorning the flags and uniforms that the guards wore.

"I'm just joking around Ms. Adult, I do that."
-
Pior spoke with a wink, "keep your ears open when the adults are talking next time."
-
"So much for the hostage, we'll have to rely on Val then."
-
Pior kept blinking and groaned once. "I don't think that this is much better. Are we . . . down a guy?"
-
Pior snored until he stopped suddenly, snapping into an upright position looking slightly bleary eyed. "Is this what it's like to wake up without a hangover?"

Star Wars Ep 9 The Rise of Skywalker
The Ward's Guard replied to Briar King's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I feel that I might have worded that wrong, but I will try to explain. From my understanding, TLJ took an incredibly large number of risks, some of the more notable ones being the subversions of expectations when it came to characters. The two biggest examples are Luke Skywalker and Snoke. Johnson tried to give us something that we would realistically never expect, and that's a broken Luke Skywalker. I feel that there might have been a slap on the wrist for how these twists were take by the audience. I myself was very disappointed with Snoke's seemingly early death. However, after TLJ, there is a noticeable dip in creative choices when it came to designs such as ships and vehicles. We got the SD1 model from Rogue One with a new paint job and a big gun strapped to the bottom as our fleet of Mcguffins, not their most creative moment. They didn't even use a model for an SD2, probably because one hasn't been made yet. Whether it's because of a lack of creativity, a controlling hand from Disney, or the movie being rushed, there is a distinct lack of any real creative direction. We got to see a few examples of what we could have had in TLJ the the form of the Supremacy and the AT-M6 as I mentioned previously. It just feels like a rushed mess practically all of the time, even when it comes to creative choices. There is the scene where Sidious does his Force Storm, which is visually impressive. I'm not sure if I could come up with any other good notes. -
