  1. Hmm, I did suggest traditional, which I guess you can say is a naive view. He's open-minded, though, which I find to be the most important part. Being naive and stubborn is a bad combination. I'm going to have to disagree on this. Wanting Fantasy to start to follow things like physics is something I really enjoy and brings something new to the genre and forces the writer to get creative. Restrictions on writers can end up creating new ideas that haven't really been done. I myself am trying to write a fantasy series and am trying to bring as much real-world science into it as I think is appropriate. It's obviously not holy realistic, there's magic, but how that magic works and is used is fairly scientific, and I think that brings something new and also makes it so writers don't depend on the 'MAGIC' excuse when writing. It's good to be critical of people, even those you like. You need to keep them honest and call them out when they say or do something stupid. There's a limit, don't get me wrong, but being simply critical is by no means a bad thing The circumstances are just ridiculous. You need to hear his rant to know why it's funny. It's just so stupid and you wonder why nobody saw it. The guy doesn't even have a name, in the credits he's called Handsome Guy. It's so bad and dumb, you can't help but laugh at the absurdity.
  2. I believe hair and stuff like that are weird for kandra.
  3. Huh... interesting. Maybe this is the worldhopping Kandra
  4. I don't think someone who tends to follow traditional gender roles should be considered sexist, especially since we know he doesn't view that as the 'right way'. Traditional is a better term. Sexist is more about prejudice, and despite his delicate things line, he is very comfortable with the thought of women fighting with swords in both fantasy and real-life. As for the questions on language, low key isn't really used as a little. It's meant to mean restained or showing less emotion. Like saying 'I low-key want to eat a cake' casually, without putting much emotion into your voice. I hope that made sense. But yeah, saying he is low-key sexist does not mean a little sexist, just that he is sexist. Maybe less vocal is all. And again, think sexist is the wrong term here as well. I normally use stupid. Little fun fact, Americans vary greatly, and how we talk will depend on where we were raised state-wise and maybe even city wise. I do normally say stupid rather than not great, and also indicate someone should die because they can never do anything correctly for the love of- XD Yeah, no worries. Also, yes, I wonder when we will get an update on the castles he's making. That will have to wait, though, because he is making a video on Wonder Woman 1984 and the fact WW basically raped a guy. XD That is going to be a hilarious video.
  5. oh. Yay. Thanks, that puts my soul at ease. No, I'm sure you do, just wish I got a little more recognition for mine is all. I was also surprised that was even an award.
  6. Okay, so I was having a thinky think in the shower and realized that Hoid was storing memories in Breaths like how a Feruchemist would store memories in a Coppermind. Useing one investiture for the use of another, kind of like compounding, using allomancy to get feruchemical traits. The metallic arts have the most crossover of all the magic systems, but they are by no means the only ones, and I think this is a nice example. I'm not sure if Hoid is a feruchemist (The coppermind doesn't say so, and we do not know any other way of getting it after birth. Maybe harmonium would grant it if burned, or Sazed can make people Feruchemist like he can make Spook Mistborn.) but it's still the same principle, instead of using metal to store memories, he is using breaths as its container. Thoughts?
  7. Yeah... I know... I'm still curious how many votes i got, and part of writing is to share it and get recognition, so it's something I have an interest in. Thanks tho.
  8. If they have, I say we should retake it and make sure the settings don't allow that. And I still am confused on why I am considered a lone wolf. Like, part of me does think myself as a lone wolf, but I never thought others would.
  9. I'm pretty sure in Jasnah's book we'll get to see all her oaths in flashbacks.
  10. Wait, he was being serious? I lost by one vote?
  11. ... Lone wolf. I won the lone wolf. I do not understand, how am I a lone wolf? XD What part of me is everyone remembering when they voted lone wolf? I am part of several groups. Hell, I am one of four members doing Theory Thursdays. I am in a game of coup. I'm really befuddled. Also, I didn't win the next BS award? I get Fadran wrote the Iconar Collective and everyone really likes that, but like... come on! Did I at least get second place @Bearer of all agonies How many votes for that award did I get? Can I not get some recognition for the thing I actually put effort to.
  12. Having something be better doesn't make it good.
  13. Um, mind providing examples? That's a pretty big claim. Well, I have no idea, but he is Christian and probably attracts other Christians.
  14. Um, Calamity exists. My soul would be shredded multiple times over. Then I'd make a video on why it's bad. Then I'd still continue reading both SA and Cosmere, one bad apple isn't enough to deter my investment, and he is likely to recover on the next book.
  15. Oh, yeah, he totally does. Can't blame him. He doesn't want to see their kid become something just short of immortal, especially when you consider him a better person than you? He doesn't want Adolin to become something he doesn't want to or can't become; he thinks he is already worthy of being one and that on the mission, a spren will choose him finally. Also, glad I was able to grant you another interpretation.
  16. Happy End of 2020! I know I'm late, I was being forced to dance in the least enjoyable way... non-competitavly.

  17. Heh, a couple of years. That's around how long we are going to wait in the middle of SA 5 and 6
  18. I did not interpret their conversation that way. I don't think Dalinar was implying that Adolin isn't worthy unless he becomes radiant, but that he thinks Adolin is worthy enough to be radiant and wants him to become one because, let's face it, Radiants are more capable and able in war than a normal dude and it makes sense he would want his son to be one.
  19. Don't bother, SoS no longer has an account.
  20. Turns out, he is under 13 and not allowed to make an account. If someone doesn't take his spot by the time it's his turn, I will start asking some friends.
  21. @Whysper Hey, SoS just had his account removed and won't be able to participate. We need to have someone else fill his role.
  22. Happy birthday

    1. Honorless

      Honorless

      ~and New Year too!

    2. Serack

      Serack

Thanks, I’m not comfortable plastering my birthdate in a public forum so I just put the first of my birth year.

    3. Honorless

      Honorless

Oo, Happy Birthday possibly a few months in advance then, lol

  23. He's under thirteen? That... explains a bit. So, What exactly is his situation? Cuz he is part of a game of coup, is he still able to participate? And his posts haven't been deleted, so...
  24. Well three once ruled is referring to three shards, and the Stormfather says Odium reigns when Kaladin asks why they fight, so it is likely that Odium is the broken one.
