  1. Okay I’m about to go to bed but I wanna point out that last turn I said I was fine with inactivity in early game but a lot less fine in late game.
  2. That’s literally my entire point. It’s later in the game and I have enough experiences losing because we didn’t get rid of inactives early enough. And what if mat was village? We’d have misexed a villager and kept an inactive alive, giving the elims the upper hand and removing an active voter
  3. Good morning everyone! Just woke up. Apologies for my slight lack of activity yesterday. Road trip and other such things, but now Striker and I are once again in the same place!! Yay!!! Okay, I gotta vote TUO. I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but I've lost and/or won 2/3 completed games I've played due to village inactivity. I don't want to be anti inactivity, because like!! I think people deserve to take breaks and whatnot. And I'm fine with inactivity in the early game. But late game, as we start to creep closer and closer to an elim win? Yeah I'm less fine with it. When there's multiple inactive players and we reach exlo, the elims have basically already won because they know a bunch of villagers won't vote. I really don't want us to lose again that way. It just doesn't feel good.
  4. "A blessing, thanks." She stirred her cup before taking a sip. Well, not perfect, but it would do. "So, tell me more about this theory of yours?"
  5. I’m honestly confused. How do you play then? In all honesty not voting or doing anything actively harms the village.
  6. I gotchu She'd survived. As the sun rose higher and higher, all Shara could think about was that she had lived through the night. Now she just had to survive the day. Iden paced in his bedroom, occasionally stopping to read another few lines of Shara's notes. He had them spread over her now abandoned bed. She had a page on every person at the meetings, with a neat line through the names of all those who had died. At the top of each page, there was a summary. Juno: loud, boisterous, gets what she wants. Philico: thief. Confusing, up to something. Keep an eye on him Sweeper: Quiet, always nearby. Is he listening? *Apparently he is a coinshot. Will investigate It went on and on, and at the bottom. Iden He hadn't let himself read the words yet. Every time his eyes glanced over his sheet, he paused and then continued pacing. Survivor help him, why in the world did Shara have an analysis paper on him? His heart pounded to think of what she could have written, noticed, could be telling the guards now. Lying to the guards now. Iden scowled. He had to know what that damned sheet said, hesitation or not. In two long strides, he was back at her bed, peering down at his own name Iden: Somewhat observative, charming--Iden smiled--though a bit dull--he frowned. He read through the lines. Nothing stood out, just details on his personality, who he talked with, what could link him to others. He was about to move on, his anxiety assuaged when something caught his eye. Delegates all work to me, never does his own. I am essentially the representative of the Third Octant. Easy to manipulate.
  7. Hey Araris was that your kill or were you RB’d. If it was you that means one of the elims probably got roleblocked and we can narrow down an elim from that. Anyway I’m still sus of TUO because he’s been online but not in thread and I know I keep saying this but I’ve played multiple games that were won by elims due to village inactivity in the end, because lack of votes/participation meant the elims could basically ignore the exe. Village or not, we need to root out some inactives because in the end it’ll hurt us more IMO. If anyone has other ideas I’m open to them tho. I’m inclined to agree with Drake’s theory. At the very least, it makes way more sense than my crazy crack theory that the kandra is also simultaneously an elim. Though part of me wants to be right just so I can say I solved Striker’s insanity . @Szeth_Pancakes return to us dear friend. Who else have we not heard much from? Ash, dannex… anyway I’m nervous an elim or kandra is hiding in the people who haven’t been around and we’re all running around like chickens with our heads cut off exeing villagers while the elims laugh on the sidelines.
  8. Shara nodded. “So you’re saying you think one of our… partners in the meetings is actually a faceless immortal in disguise?” Shara neatly laced her fingers together. “Interesting.” Part of her found it hard to believe. Actually, most of her found it hard to believe. A healthy dose of logical skepticism plus Juno’s… well… disposition made it seem more like a fantastic story rather than true fact. She knew the stories, of course. Both survivorism, her childhood religion, and the path, the one she vaguely practiced now, cited stories of a faceless immortal involved in the early days of each religion’s inception. “I must admit, I find it hard to believe.” As she said it, a bit of sunlight peaked through the window and into Shara’s cell that wasn’t a cell. She blinked. When had it gotten so late? Or… early, rather. She hadn’t, and though Shara was used to staying up all night, she needed her wits about her for whatever interrogation was to come. Perhaps Someone would give her a coffee, though she doubted the kindness would be extended to her in her predicament. Maybe she could rope Juno into getting her one. The girl seemed kind enough, and at least willing to get on Shara’s good side. “it looks like our time may be running short, but I think I could spare a little more if you’re willing to get me a coffee.” Shara cracked a grin.
  9. Shara raised an eyebrow. “The faceless immortals? Really?” Shara didn’t much consider herself religious. Her mother had been a Survivorist and her father a non practicing one, but she’d drifted away from the church as she grew up. She wasn’t much a fan of the large ceremonies and whatnot. If she had to pick any religion, it would be the Path, because to her it made the most logical sense, but the faceless immortals? She’d never truly been able to reconcile herself to that. Maybe Juno was full of it. But if not… The things she could learn if Juno was right. The questions she could ask. How many variations of personality would a Faceless Immortal have? How many lives had they lived? How well could they lie? If she could just spend a day with one… the possibilities were endless. She just had to get out of this stupid cell that wasn’t a cell first. So, trust Juno. That was her best bet now. Obviously Iden had abandoned her, or was busy worrying about saving his own hide to think about trying to vouch for her. She needed an out, and here it was. The corner of her mouth quirked up. “Tell me more.”
  10. Shara raised an eyebrow. She hadn't seen Juno since the night Josephine died, right after they all left the tavern. She'd had it in good mind to think Juno was Josephine's murderer, though the Sweeper had claimed that, a hard claim to disprove. And what would Juno gain from interrogating Shara now? She obviously wasn't just here for the fun of it. Like all of them, Juno had a goal, and she liked to shove her way through to get to them. Without her notes, Shara felt exposed, unable to guess what could happen. Unpredictable. Open ended. Would Juno follow the pattern? Shara's breathing quickened. She couldn't remember if she'd marked down any irregularities in Juno's disposition. Had Juno come to kill her? Did she think Shara would spill some important information in her interrogation? She'd mentioned the food hiding something. Would it hide weapons? Shara forced herself to calm down, yet again. Vials of metal or not, notes or not, she would not crack now. Obviously, she had something Juno wanted, and that gave her a slight upper hand. And, even without pewter, Shara knew how to put up a fight. She smiled and relaxed into the seat. "I am as well as I can be. What brings you here?"
  11. Sat in the tiny room that served as her prison cell, Shara had absolutely nothing to do. They’d taken her notes, her extra paper and pencils, and her vials of metal. Her secret, so well kept before, was out. Shara was a thug, and now everyone knew she was defenseless. She picked nervously at her pants, craving something to do with her hands. But without paper and a pencil, she had nothing. She paced. How to get out of this situation? Surely there was a way to pick the lock on the door, though as soon as she tried it she found it wasn’t a lock at all, but rather latched from the outside. So that was out. Maybe she could bust down--nope, no pewter, right. Maybe-- Stop it. Shara took a shaky breath. Escaping into the night wouldn’t look good on her. She could never return to Elendel again. The most logical and beneficial solution then was to stay and testify to her innocence. Surely Goren would believe her. Her reputation of calm, collected, logical thinking would precede her. It had to. And, of course, Iden would testify on her behalf. All Shara had to do was stay calm and she would be fine. She hoped.
  12. Okay, I have a crack theory. We haven't been seeing Kandra kills. We have coinshot kills and elim kills, plus the Illwei/Ventyl hema kill, but no Kandra kills. From what I've gathered, the Kandra had a kill ability in LG66, so either the Kandra is hesitant to use their ability (doubtful) or they have something else going on. That brings me to my wild theory: what if the kandra started as an elim. Look, we haven't found them yet, and everyone is throwing around wild kandra theories, but as far as I can tell, we haven't heard a peep from them. Could be bc TUO is the Kandra, but I wouldn't put it past Striker to do something screwy and way throw us off our game. This would align with Illwei's post that implies the possibility of five elims. If one of them is the kandra, that would leave us with four elims + a kandra with access to the NK. Am I wrong? Maybe. Probably. But this possibility has been sitting in my mind constantly since we haven't seen any kandra kills. Of course, I'm operating under the assumption that the elims have been doing their NKs. There's a slim chance that none of the NKs are elim but??? That's honestly highly unlikely. I'm more inclined to believe it's the Kandra NKs we're missing. I could also be crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kandra is a hemalurgist (yes Illwei I think you could be the Kandra).
  13. WELL my alarm didn’t go off. Happy Sunday everyone. I appreciate whoever soothed the vote off me since I didn’t wake up to self pres. Alright, time to say it. I’m a Thug! And now that that’s known I’d appreciate some protection since my extra life is gone, but I doubt I’m gonna get it XD I’m sure araris is the more valuable player that needs protecting
  14. Shara could feel the eyes on her at today’s meetings. The hair on the back of her neck pricked up while they watched her. She knew suspicion was hot on her. She did her best to keep calm, but it was hard when everyone just kept staring. Iden didn’t look too good himself. He fidgeted whenever someone suggested that Shara was a rebel, furiously denying it but sweating bullets all the same. They were tied together, and if Shara was executed, he would probably go with her. Shara hadn’t prepared herself to die. It was the one unknown, the great mystery. Despite her comprehensive notes and piles of analysis sitting on her desk, she hadn’t planned to die. Hush. You will not die. The reminder, though frequent, was softer each time she thought it. They’d tied her to Philico now, the thief. He’d been on her radar, though not enough for her to do much analysis on him, and that implicated her. He was adamant about her execution over his. He argued it even now, swaying others to join him on voting for her execution. Should she run? She’d never make it to Elendel. No, she wouldn’t run. She would stay. You will not die.
  15. So, it does feel a bit strange that we're jumping down Mat's throat for claiming in thread. I can't imagine an elim would admit in thread that they're just targeting for the most amount of boxings?? I just can't get behind voting on role alone, but if that's the route everyone else wants to go I at least think we should know who the other thief is?? It's just so strange to me that we're clearing the other thief who probably has the same goals as Mat. Am I suspicious of Mat? I mean, yeah, but not because of the thief thing?? I can't justify voting on him just for that. Suspicious of Araris slightly, but since his Lotus kill claim hasn't been countered, I'm inclined to believe that he's the coinshot. This is sad because he's probably going to kill me next, based on that recent vote XD. Can I persuade you not to Araris? No idea what to think of Dannex. Anyway, I'm gonna drop a vote on TUO because we still haven't seen any voting or reads and I know that's his playstyle but it's rubbing me the wrong way. This'll probably change if TUO joins us in thread or someone else catches my eye.
  16. Yeah, sorry, I know I’ve been uncharacteristically quiet this turn, and I’m sorry for that. I plan on being more engaged today. I’m in an insane 4 week intensive summer class, and the past few days have been very heavy due to exams, homework, and projects. But I think today I can participate more
  17. Y'know I know this is a game about sussing people and whatnot but every time someone susses me I feel like that cat miette in that one viral tweet y'all know what I'm talking about right
  18. I understand it's your playstyle, but I feel like not voting just actively hurts the village. However I can't see an elim admitting that they don't vote as a playstyle, so yeah I'm reading you more positively now ig.
  19. My thought process is kinda we have a lot of people that didn’t vote, and not many people voted on me in the first place, so I feel like the likelihood of one of the four people that voted on me was storing D2 and a ferring that gets their vote cancelled is unlikely. I know that’s a bit of a reach but I’m trying to reason what the vote manip could be now that we’ve lost a rioter. edit: someone post I forgot to say something and it needs a quote that I can’t edit in lol
  20. Okay, N2 thoughts: I'm leaning toward soother, because it seems like there was less vote manip this time around. It could be possible that a ferring was storing on D1 and, in order to make it not obvious, they voted despite knowing their vote would be cancelled. @StrikerEZ would we be able to tell a difference between a ferring vote cancellation and a soother? ie the ferrings name wouldn't show up at all on the votes? Could possibly be explained by Ventyl asking for a pinch hitter XD. I know I was #1 on the "let's exe Ventyl" train but I think he seemed less involved for whatever reason he ended up needing a replacement. I'm inclined to believe this based on Ventyl's chaos and the joking blackmail. Why? Okay, so, not liking manu or TUO currently for continuing to not vote. Voting is our one big power as village and lets us put pressure on the elims. It can force them out in the open to defend teammates, too. Maybe TUO or manu is the coinshot and thinks that is more useful than voting but like... why not both? (Okay also if either of you two are the coinshot don't claim. I know that's been said a million times over but yeah). Basically, bad vibes from not voting and taking a backseat. Illwei, you have a lot of good thoughts early on. Welcome to the game! Since a lot of my suspicion was directly Ventyl-based, not sure what I'm going to do now. Can you give me a reason to suspect you? Jk lol. With your claim of hemalurgist, I can't imagine you're an elim. I'm still thinking kandra a little, but I'm not sure.
