Taeli turned, noticing the girl who had barged in last night, some kind of old friend. She knew she had been really rude, but honestly didn't care enough to apologize. She gave a forced smile, then turned and walked down the hall toward the main room, grumbling to herself.
-
Taeli stumbled out of the room she had been staying in, her hair in a messy bun that was somehow still perfectly messy even after a night of restless sleep. She looked at her reflection in a mirror in the hall, then let out a loud groan. "Why can't I wake up with bedhead for once in my life? This darn Elantrian hair just won't. Get. Messy!" The last three words were punctuated by her pulling sections of her hair from the bun. Those strands fell neatly to the sides of her face, perfectly framing her face, leading to a sigh of exasperation from Taeli.

Unpopular Brandon Sanderson Opinions
DramaQueen replied to not an Evil Librarian's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I can see that, too. The way she told him that he should move on, emphasizing that she had moved on, then when Wax and Marasi find Wayne and MeLaan on the train after the fight, Marasi's response almost sounds like, "Yeah, I told you to move on, but I didn't mean to her!" from the way that she's like, "That wasn't moving on, that was barging on at the speed of light" or something like that. Also, Wayne low-key flirts with her and downplays it. I just felt like Steris was almost fake. She was boring, and she knew it. In Bands of Mourning, the way Brandon made her more likable seemed rushed, like, "Oh, crap, I need to make this character interesting and enjoyable to be around so that everyone isn't super mad when I make Wax marry her instead of someone with more personality than a brick." I mean, who enjoys working on finances and paying bills? And all of her lists got so repetitive and tedious. Steris is coming somewhere? Guess we're going to hear another mention of a list, probably including a bunch of the items on the list. Something surprising happens? Steris says something like, "Wow, that wasn't on my list" or "That was on my list, but it was pretty unlikely." or "Yeah, I predicted this. It was on my list." Her name even sounds boring. Steris is pretty dang close to sterile, one definition of which is literally "lacking in imagination, creativity, or excitement; uninspiring or unproductive." The perfect description of Steris's character except for the few times Brandon decided he should make her more interesting. As if making her enjoy some adventurous stuff and come to love Wax will completely make up for the fact that she doesn't act like a normal human the rest of the time. *takes a deep breath* sorry for that rant, I'll stop now. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. -
I knowwww. I'm so mad at myself right now, I can't think of what it is! I know I've heard it and I know I should know what it is, but my brain is broken and I can't think of it! I remembered it! I was going to go look it up, but right as I hit enter, I remembered it!!! I'm so proud of myself! I swear I remembered all on my own! I'll recommend that one tomorrow, it's a really really great show! Oh my gosh you guys stop recommending all the good musicals for me! I'm not going to have anything left to recommend! I love SInging in the Rain, Lena Lamont is one of my dream roles! "Whaddaya think I am, dumb or sumthin'?" That is so cool! That would be so much fun! And it's fine!

DANG IT FF, THAT WAS GOING TO BE ONE OF MY NEXT RECOMMENDATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW I CAN'T USE IT. It is PURE BEAUTY and adorableness. What were you in the production?

Because in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy, there's a scene where Draxx is eating chips and is like, "I have mastered the art of standing so still, I become invisible" and then someone walks in and says "Hi Draxx" so the guy in the back isn't actually in that movie, he's Draxx and it's funny because he's not really invisible at all.

MeLaan? -
Queen, whose back was turned to Nath, keeping an eye on Fadran, whirled around as she felt...something. A disturbance in the emotions she had shared with Nath, and therefore, a disturbance in herself. Nath's position and appearance hadn't changed, yet there was something off about him. She rushed over, shoving Herial aside as she ran, then grasped Nath's hand, entering his mind. She could see where his thoughts met Fox's and on the edge, right by the barrier, knelt the personification of Nath's mind. Queen hadn't seen it the first time she visited Nath's thoughts, yet she could tell that there should be more than the faint glow around his form, still fading slowly. Careful not to cross the barrier into Fox's mind, Queen mentally traveled to the figure's side. Disappointment, pain, grief, sorrow, and...emptiness. Those were the sensations Queen could feel emanating from Nath, bleeding out as surely as the glow, almost as if they were what caused the glow. Queen reached out a hand, placing it on his shoulder. She was now able to better sense the fine details of what he felt. Darkness. Love. Blame. Self-hatred. He felt guilty, unable to do anything to make up for his mistakes. This was nearly all that was left of Nath, and it was fading fast. Queen quickly retreated, worry tying her forehead into knots. "He gave himself up. I don't know how he did it, and I don't know how to fix it."

I'll try one! This character is more popular than one would expect. -
I'm mostly trying to restrict the list to lesser-known musicals, which I mentioned when I recommended Hamilton against my better judgement. Wicked is a phenomenal musical, though, which is why it's so popular. (Popular like the song get it?) I'm also not recommending shows that other people recommend on this topic, I don't really want to have a bunch of repeats. I've seen a live professional performance of Wicked, with Galinda played by Kara Lindsay, the original Katherine Plumber from Newsies on Broadway, so that was really cool! I've heard of the Starkid musicals, I think specifically The Guy Who Doesn't Like Musicals. I want to check them out, but I've never had the time.

Queen gives Herial a hostile look. "You do realize that I actually have medical training as well? And mine is real, not just a stamp that helps me pretend I know what I'm doing. I had already checked Fadran, I knew he would be fine. I will admit that it probably wasn't the best idea to drag him, but we've all been through a lot while you've just been staying here. You can help Fox, but make it quick. She and Nath need to talk. I've got Fadran, so go away." Queen began to turn away, back toward Fadran, but then looks back at Herial. "Just so you know, the only reason I'm letting you work on Fox is because my skills can't even identify what's going on without me breaking into her mind, and I'm not about to intrude when she won't let me." The tone of Queen's voice suggested that she believed Herial was incapable of respecting Fox's boundaries. "Otherwise, I'd take care of her myself. Your powers may be fake, but I won't turn away an asset to the team."

DQ chases after her, confused. "Hey, you can't go by yourself! We're a team!"
-
I'm actually more like...right in between mezzo and high soprano, but I really like singing harmonies, so mezzo is more fun for me. Although, those high notes are also really really fun.
-
You're welcome. That took a while.

"He's here. He just woke up, too." Queen helped Fox sit by Nath. "I'll leave you two to talk." She began walking away, pausing at Fadran's motionless body. She checked his vitals, then, after determining that he'd be fine, attempted to move him away from Fox and Nath. If he woke up, she didn't want him interrupting their conversation. However, she wasn't very strong, so she ended up dragging him by the wrists. Luckily, the ground wasn't too rocky.
