  1. Martin has a reasonably developed internal clock. So he recognizes when it's getting close to time for Nahl to arrive. He gets up and goes to stand where he can see the road through the window.
  2. Holy cow! That last one is amazing! They all are, but the way you captured the emotion is incredible!
  3. The colors you used for the havah are beautiful! (or should I say bluetiful?)
  4. I'm enjoying it! Clint was my favorite Avenger for a long time (still is), so I'm liking that he gets more screen time. I was a little skeptical about Kate at first, but I've warmed up to her.
  5. Martin makes sure his weapons are out of easy reach before he lays down and falls asleep.
  6. Switching between Clamavi de Profundis's various songs, the Interstellar soundtrack (you know a soundtrack is good when it's 52% of the reason you cried in a movie), and The Lord of the Rings, while I read. Currently at the Battle of Helm's Deep, I think.
  7. "That would actually be helpful. Wake me up at - " he checks the clock. Three p.m. "About five." He'd rather be on watch when Nahl gets there.
  8. "Probably not the best idea. Tempting, though." Martin stands up and starts going through drawers. All empty. "We've got eight hours until Nahl gets here. I'd recommend we all get some rest."
  9. "Nahl and I have a complicated past," Martin says. "I'll be fine."
  10. The noise that comes through the speaker is an unholy mix of static that makes Martin's brain hurt. "'Lo, Nahl," he offers. "'S me." The slurring of the words is the signal that she insists on. Dead silence from the other end. "I know you can track my signal. I need a pickup - me and my crew." "I thought you worked alone, soldier boy," Nahl finally says. Even through the remainder of the static, her voice sounds like ice. Martin tries his best not to react to the jibe. "Times change, Nahl. You in or not?" "Eight hours." The line goes dead. Martin slumps against the wall.
  11. That looks absolutely incredible! I love what you did with the hair.
  12. Martin nods absently, walking over to the battered comm panel set in the wall. He punches in the number on autopilot, and waits. "No one say anything," he warns.
  13. Howdy all.

Just wanna say, it's winter break, and FOTT - Earth 2767 has been dead for over a month... mayhaps 'tis time to revive it?

Same thing for the original FotT- I would’ve posted on it to remind everyone that it exists but I was the last one to post on it so yeah :/

      YES. REVIVE.

And definitely not just because I love playing Ayia

Well then!  I was the last one to post, so if someone wants to jump in there... we'll get this ball rolling.

  14. Watched Interstellar. There are now three pieces of media that have made me cry.
  15. About a third into Words of Radiance. I'm also reading A Little Princess off and on, and there are some very relatable parts of this book.
  16. About 400 pages into The Way of Kings. I think I'm enjoying this go around even more, maybe because it's been almost a full year since I last read a Stormlight book.
  17. Finished The Well of Ascension, now working on The Hero of Ages.
  18. Finished The Final Empire, as well as Dark Rise by C. S. Pacat. Dark Rise is pretty good, especially in terms of the writing style. Making steady progress on The Well of Ascension as well. Only a few weeks until my yearly Lord of the Rings reread!
  19. You know you've got a 'look' to your style when:

Your dad sees your outfit and says that it suits you

When classmates remark that it's strange to see you in bright colors

I'm inordinately pleased with this, for no reason except knowing that I've got a style that suits me that people can recognize as something I like wearing.

What's your usual style? Also, having a recognizable style sounds cool.

Long skirts or blue jeans, blouses that I wear tucked in, save a couple that don't work for that.   Usually a mix between pseudo-historical and vaguely military.  Green, black, blue, and burgundy.

It's pretty neat, and also confidence boosting to feel comfortable in what you're wearing, even when it isn't 'normal'.

I also have a very 'iconic' style, I guess you could say- Bright colors, informal skirts/dresses with leggings, NEVER jeans or any sort of pants unless with a skirt, and stuff like that- for everyday clothes. When feeling fancy, I love to wear formal dresses and anything elegant. Pretty much all my "play" clothes are stuff you could wear in Elementary school, except a bit more mature.

And yeah- having a style that is so completely different than literally everyone else in your school is pretty cool, especially when you want to make an impression of "don't group me with all those non-book loving weirdos."

  20. Finished Foundation. Pretty good, actually inspired emotion in me. Trantor was by far the best storyline, I think.
  21. Rereading Mistborn: The Final Empire. I'm definitely going to get through Era One, and then probably go on to Stormlight, though those are a mite harder to put in my school bag.
