"Are they doing something different now?" asked AraRaash. Faleast looked up from his book. It was short, but he had to admit it was pretty good, for a book read while trapped within his own mind while a demon-thing-" "- 'Forgotten', he mentally corrected himself, controlled his body. Ash could be a little insistent on proper terminology. "It's hard to tell. Maybe they're going to start sketching now. Like an art contest." AraRaash grabbed another book, flipped through it, and winced. "I don't think it's an art contest." Faleast looked quizzically. "And you get that from a book? What kind of book is that?" AraRaash laughed. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

... If you're telling the truth, then this is one of the unluckiest games we have. But I don't believe you. This makes no sense: you roll probably the unluckiest Narcotics roll possible besides outright killing someone, you know that Pyro had to have noticed, you lie and say you used Survival instead, and now that we know that the coercion happened now you come forward. And you're plan was only to come forward when Elkanah called you out, knowing Pyro would immediately jump on it? I'm keeping my vote on Kynedath. The only explanation for this behavior that makes sense to my brain is trying to divide the lynch between you and him. Which means if Kynedath dies and isn't the last Elim I know exactly who I'm going for. Speaking of which, @Lord_Silberfarben. Vote Kynedath. If Illwei(?) and Kynedath try to hammer, Elk, Pyro, and I should be able to hold it but I'd rather avoid any nasty surprises. -

That makes... a lot of sense. I don’t know if it means Kynedath specifically but the fact XP could survival and Kill plus Kyne’s general wierdness is enough for me to jump on it. (Silberfarben). And we need a N3 action from Kyne, too. However, I’m kinda weirded out by this. Elkanah claims the GM made a mistake, which, while feasible and hard to make up, lets him nicely contort around Pyro’s coercing. And the coersion itself fits an Elim attempt to hit multiple birds with multiple stones, it could also be a really big bluff. It’s probably not considering everything, but... hmm. It brings back memories. I’m going to go on a limb and say Elk’s target-scan-teamwork-drug-thing didn’t see me targeting Sart along with Pyro, so I didn’t use the Elim kill. -

Because I asked/revealed that the Elim kill can be used in conjunction with Passions, which Elim!Me would have no desire to reveal at this time as everyone seemed to just assume you couldn’t do that. Storms, maybe the Elims didn’t even know and I just told them all. Who knows. -

I believe roleblocks still stop the Elim kill. But it seems more likely now that XP could have done the kill since she was protected by Survival. (Depends how Survival and roleblocks interact.) -
"I cannot believe this," said Faleast. AraRaash shrugged. "I can." Faleast rolled his head toward the kandra. The two were in a fairly plainly decorated room: there was a low central table, an armchair, a pair of folding chairs, and a bookcase, keyboard, wall clock, and one or two things Faleast couldn't really describe. AraRaash had described one of them like a... mechanical spanreed. A Radeo, or something. But the focal point of the room was a massive window, taking up almost a full wall. Through it was quite a spectacular view - a large arena, filled with around 20 people scribbling on the ground with chalk. About three weeks ago Faleast would have thought the whole thing preposterous, an Investiture - if you could call it that - based on limestone. Even AraRaash didn't know if the rumors were true. They were true. As AraRaash had made them discover very, very certain. "Let me get this straight. You decide the next place we should head is a world that shouldn't even exist, one that exists outside the cosmere, and one you didn't even know was real. You take us to the end of the Universe, back, and to a world that seems to be overwriting itself. And when we finally get to this place, when we find ourselves in the middle of a tower surrounded by two-dimensional terrors, men with acid, and a massive swirl, what do you do?" AraRaash laughed. "Well when you put it that way-" "You told the terrors "Take me to your leader" like you were some sort of insane worldhopper extraterrestrial. And lo and behold, now we're stuck in this box in our own skull while whatever that thing is puppet-marches your body around these islands drawing more chalk things." "Chalklings," AraRaash said. "And technically, we are insane worldhopper extraterrestrials. Although I'm not sure if the term worldhopper applies anymore." Faleast stood up and started pacing. Fortunately, arthritis was a thing of the past. "What was your plan? Just approach the most mysterious being in this world and ask it to give you Investiture? Spellbound it with nicrosil and healing hairs, which have absolutely have no affect on these things? Use your mystical arts to melt our own arm again?" "It did seem rather confused by my instantaneous beard growth," AraRaash said. "Ah, yes. The famous Faleast, conquering commanders of legions of monsters with facial hair. That'll show-" AraRaash tossed something at him. Suprised, Faleast caught it. It was a book. "Artemis Fowl. A bit more of a children's story than you're used to, but it's worth a read. Get back to that argument when you're done." Faleast opened the cover, then gave a glare toward the kandra. "We've been over this, AraRaash. No breaking the Fourth Wall." Instead his compatriot gestured rapidly in front at the window, then back behind the two of them. "Does it look like there's a fourth wall?!?" -:-:-:- Sorry I'm late everyone. The LG has been... busy, to say the least, and IRL's been a bit wacky. Plus I wanted to showcase Faleast and AraRaash a bit differently this time. Don't worry, I'll still be around. Since this game doesn't need so much analysis on who to trust versus just trusting nobody, I should be active enough. -:-:-:- Faleast winced at the sudden inflow of... not noise, but information. There definitely wasn't a back wall to this room. Instead was... "What is that?" AraRaash cackled. "Oh. That's Ash. I think you'll get to know each other pretty soon." -:-:-:- Yes. Yes we will.

Long Game 69: The Politics of the Passions
Ashbringer replied to Zillah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, it likely solves one problem: the Elim could have used Violence to get 2 kills. That would explain why we still don't know who killed Lotus (or tried to kill Pyro or Illwei), unless it was an inactive Sart. In that case, hunting for N3 actions is still helpful. -

PROBLEM: Zillah just answered my PM question. Elims can execute the kill and use a Passion during the same turn. ... Rust and Ruin. Hold it for now, Pyro. This just got a whole lot more difficult. -

This... I don't understand. I'm guessing ninja'd but I can't tell whether it's me or Pyro. Who's "He"? Kynedath, can you confirm or deny? Essentially what Elkanah said: I believe that you did get caught, but whether you still used Elim kills I'm not sure of. And it does seem like an odd reason to vote. I can see Elkanah's focus on RB vs Passion Usage being odd from Village!Pyro's perspective, but I'm trying to be as neutral as possible in this. -

You know, I missed that it said someone was caught in the writeup. So you're good on that front, I don't think anyone counterclaimed. (I think how the rules work you still could have executed the kill, but who knows.) -
Long Game 69: The Politics of the Passions
Ashbringer replied to Zillah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, I have some time. There's currently six of us left. Illwei, Kynedath, Silber, Elkanah, Pyro, Ash. Of that group, one must be an Elim, possibly two. (I'm not going to count for three because we'd essentially be dead anyway.) If there's ONE ELIM REMAINING: It can't be me. The Elim killed this night, and Elkanah confirmed that I visited Pyro and not Sart. If I'm the only Elim remaining Elkanah has no reason to cover for me. (Plus, I'm pretty sure I'm not an Elim.) It probably can't be Kynedath, thanks to my roleblock on D2. Technically Experience could have done the kill, but I feel like he wouldn't have. It COULD be Illwei, Elkanah, Silber, or Pyro. Illwei claimed Survival onto Lotus N3 and Survival again onto Kynedath on N4. If anyone can corroborate that, we can clear Illwei of being the last Elim, or if anyone has an action they used on Illwei that wasn't redirected, that could prove we have a liar. Elkanah claimed Narcotics into ??? N3 and Narcotics into Teamwork on Pyro N4. If anyone (besides me) visited Pyro last night, Elkanah could be our Elim. @Elkanah, what did your Narcotics do N3? Pyro claimed passionless due to being Caught by illegal activity. Unprovable, and you still could have used the Elim kill. N3 he claimed Survival onto Lotus - again if anyone can confirm or deny, that would be great. Has an alleged secret. Silber claimed... nothing? @Lord_Silberfarben Lord_Silberfarben. You've reacted to votes before. I want your actions for N3 and N4. Kynedath claimed nothing. While you're clear in this sector, I still want an action from you @Kynedath. Mapping out possible 2-Elim teams is more difficult. I want more info before that happens. -
Long Game 69: The Politics of the Passions
Ashbringer replied to Zillah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I mean, that's just a report of what happened. I don't expect that to clear me for the N3 kill. I'm hoping Elk corraborating my protection clears me for N4, though. Unless the team is Elk-Ash (which I... doubt ). I'll try to map out possible Elims / possible teams when I'm not in the middle of Chemistry. (An hour or so, at least this afternoon.) -
Long Game 69: The Politics of the Passions
Ashbringer replied to Zillah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Also Pyro, we have no evidence that you were caught. Just your word. And you @'ed Frozen Mint who is dead (which is also an error in the OP, btw). So Illwei, Silber, possibly Pyro, possibly Kynedath. And... ... unfortunately this only works one way. If Elkanah was an Elim, he would know I'm not, and therefore no I have no real reason to lie. So claiming Teamwork to "verify" me would be fine. Unless... I predicted this exact situation and I actually protected - nope, I'm not that good at this. So Elim kill is still likely amongst Illwei, Silber, and Kynedath*, but Pyro and Elkanah aren't entirely out unless they can give a bit more info than that. Elkanah, did anyone else target Pyro? -
Long Game 69: The Politics of the Passions
Ashbringer replied to Zillah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Of course. So, I protected Pyro. No evidence of course, but I decided since Mint was gone and fate gave me the role she used so often I'd go where called. However, I don't think I'll do so again. I don't like calling protection that much, as it creates a ton of IKYKs for the Elims and generally puts protectives in a bad spot. Especially if there's no particular role-based reason. (Which there might be, but who knows? Not me.) I'd rather try and judge who a target is on my own rather than give clues and ideas to the Elims. So, action report. Anyone do anything interesting last night? -
Long Game 69: The Politics of the Passions

Apparently. There’s not much to talk about. Actions? Save for the day phase. Suspicions? Depends a lot on who dies this turn, and we mostly seem out of leads. RP? I really don’t have the time. -
