  1. I'm just thoroughly confused, and keep trying to see if there's a notification from the Reckoners RP yet. I can probably type something up though. Give me a sec.
  2. Gyroto smiled as he soared over Edmonton. It was hard to tell from up here what was happening within the city. It looked peaceful enough at the moment, although a certain section appeared to be... rotten, like what a bad wound in flesh would look like in... to be honest, flesh. But Gyroto had enough experience to know that such a balance could never hold. If his intel was good, then this city had three major factions that had just replaced the main leadership, with a few oddities like that Corruptor shaking things up. And he was about to add a fourth element. He reached into his pocket for his mobile, careful to lock his fingers on it. It was windy up here even before you added the giant rotor on his back keeping him suspended in the sky. He punched a button, then yelled into the device his faintly British tone. "Looks fine from where I am, sir. I'm sending a good radius now. Just stay where you are and it shouldn't overlap with any known Epic territory." He didn't add that he didn't really like this idea. Blockade knew his skill as a tactician, but even that wouldn't save him from a lecture on respect - or worse - for questioning his orders again. He didn't worry about risks much. He didn't need to. Gyroto lowered the torque on his rotor, slowly starting his descent. He didn't want to be caught outside. And just when his eyes caught the glint of Blockade's circlet, the world got a lot more blue. The force field was snapping into place. No going back now, he thought, and dove for the ground. Then something caught his eye. He jerked back into a hover, watching... something fall from the sky. It wasn't headed toward the field, which was a relief, but it would be noteworthy. Any Epic with that kind of power often packed more. Another variable. No more distractions. The field grew stronger as Gyroto went into a full dive, linking the propellers on his feet for more control. The General would be waiting. Blockade stood on his miniature tower and concentrated, watching his color paint the sky. He liked that saying, even if his color was pretty much what the sky looked like anyway. The few people milling outside looked up at the sky in wonder, and a decent number looked then at him with the same expression. Next to him, under a light protective field, stood a collection of those he'd brought with him, ranging from his minor Epics to his maple strategists to a few soldiers. He erased the field around these, who then started asking people to gather in the courtyard outside the area he'd decided would make a good center of operations. It would need some remodeling, but it would suffice now as a meeting place. Gyroto, his current second-in-command, landed just as Blockade felt the massive force field slip through his fingers. It was done - this sector of Edmonton was now his. He could dismiss the field, of course, but that would about as long as the field's creation - half an hour at least, he'd lost track. He ran his fingers through his off-blond hair, then added a few decorative guards and looked at the assembled crowd. A decent haul. Nowhere near the population of this area, but that wasn't his goal. "I am Blockade," he said with a smile. It had been a while since he'd done something like this, and it felt good. Then he stared down from his perch of curved blue disks. The crowd murmured. A few people bowed. Only two he could see refused to lower their heads - he noted their approximate positions. "I won't say I've come to bring peace. I haven't, although I hope that peace can eventually be made. But instead I bring security," he said, waving at the blue bulge above their heads. "While this stands, nothing can get within to harm you. But while it stands, I rule this land. So if anyone wishes to contest my claim, I urge them to do so now." That last word he gave a bit of bite. Nobody dared step forward, of course. Epics all thought they were invincible. They would come later, and he would deal with them then. "I'm glad you all understand. This used to be an industrial zone; I intend to make it so again. If you hold jobs, you may keep them, and Chloro and Forge can provide tools, currency, and food as payment for your service. If you're interested in a position, return here in two hours." Blockade jumped off his platform, only to make a singular field under his feet. It strained, but held his weight. "Now go." The crowd didn't need much encouragement. Blockade waited for most of them to leave, then dismissed his tower and unlocked his strategists. Forge immediately jogged for the central building - her crew would be able to whip it into shape. Blockade nodded at Chloro and Gyroto, and they went to their respective positions. Blockade turned. There were still a few stragglers. That wouldn't do. "GO!" he yelled, watching the maples scramble to find a street away from his gaze. He hesitated, then made a shield in front of him, made a fist, and punched it with all his might. It held, barely. Blockade grinned, then let loose on the field and made another when it broke. Then another. Then another. By the end he was energized, with a proud soreness in his arms. He would hold this town. Blockade it if he had to. And he had to.
  3. I like how you “come clean” by accusing/outing me as the Monk... Not that I’m the Monk or anything. That’s definitely Elkanah. Although I could probably cough up another thing of protection. I need more Deo for that though. I can post more of substance tomorrow, but it’s rather late and I want to try and do a Reckoners RP post tonight. (If you like Reckoners, consider joining!)
  4. I'll stick with Elk as well. (I think I still have my vote on him...) Edit: I didn't notice the new page... I don't think that affects anything though.
  5. That... doesn't tell me anything. I'll be back to this after rollover. No use pressing it now.
  6. @xinoehp512, @Vapor, you're both on the Shard right now. Anything? Edit:... that was a double post. Oops. Sorry.
  7. Mat voting late isn't the greatest thing in the world, but I agree that he'd probably be smarter than that as an Elim. Straw's a good player to have around in the late game. Lynching Mat to softclear Straw could be useful... but I think Windrunner's mostly alone in suspecting Straw. I certainly don't right now. I'm still weirded out by Elkanah this game - not a lot of analysis besides the votes on himself - but I could support a Windrunner lynch.
  8. Fair enough. I figured "buying a zucchini" wouldn't be an Elim's first choice of retroactive explanation of their inactivity... But I'm still too confused by the vote and what surrounds it to change my read. Then again, it's a night turn, so that means quite little about what will happen during the day.
  9. Okay, so nobody's PM'd me anything. Not surprising because of me not liking PMs, but... this is the reason I don't like PMs... too many secrets. I'm leaning Village on Vapor, Elim on Lotus and on Matrim. @Vapor: did a last minute vote, but if she's telling the truth about knowing Mist's role then it was probably warranted. And it was way too late to have time for explanations on her end. But village or not, I don't like all those "PM reasons"... I have an idea for how you might clear Lotus, but it doesn't make much sense to my brain. @Lotus: first voted on Silber, then immediately edited and changed the vote to Kings_Way following Mist's vote. That didn't seem like coordination, but attempted coordination. And I'm with Mat on you having time to mention there was a good reason not to let Mist die, even if she wasn't in terrible danger at the time. (Unless that was a very urgent zucchini...) @Matrim's Dice: voting based on a randomizer? Really? This late? And I really doubt you would have time in between Vapor's post and Kyne shutting the thread to swap your vote. I'm not sure if I find the vote itself suspicious - if you're telling the truth about no PMs then we both had no real reason to trust Mist. But I still don't like this. Other reads are Village still for Elk, Null for Venture and Xino, Null-lean-Elim for Silber, Elim on Kings. With the I-don't-trust-Nulls modifier as well. Other notes: I'm guessing that Mist caught Ventyl using the kill. That would explain my confusion on her votes. So we have @xinoehp512, Vapor, and Lotus who've all "confirmed" themselves along with Mist. I want a better explanation than "PM reasons" for that. Forgot to ask last turn: did anyone get their role swapped by the great and powerful Iadon? Also @Elkanah: I can't do the thing. If the thing is what I think you think I think the thing is. Either way.
  10. Oh. Well, that changes some things. Alright, @Lotus, @Matrim's Dice, @Vapor. Explanations?
  11. So... you going to answer my question? I saw that vote edit. I'm not sure if you're supposed to do it that way (I think you're supposed to green it out and put a new one), but whatever.
  12. I have one idea. So, the Monk is obviously not dead. As things stand now, there's likely the Monk, six living Villagers, and three living Elims. This is assuming that there were four Elims to start, as five would have already reached parity and three seems far too low for a 15 player game, especially with alignment scans. (It's also assuming that the Elims didn't know their night target would survive, ie no scan or WGG involved.) Last Day turn, there would have been 1 Monk, 6 Villagers, and 4 Elims. If there was a mislynch, then the Elims would have one shot at taking out the Monk - and his bonus life - before they reached parity, and if the Monk's been stockpiling Deo then a Murder contract could quickly create a loss for the Elims. The Elims also didn't go to any great lengths to save Ventyl, because there were only 2 votes on him and two on Venture - neither of which were Ventyl's vote. So I'm suspicious of a bus here. It's rather compounded by the fact after I said maybe we shouldn't lynch Venture, Xino and Mist voted Ventyl within two minutes of each other, with Mist in particular reversing her position entirely to make a tie from Xino's vote, but using my reasoning. Xino I've voiced my suspicions of several times over. But Mist... regardless of the vote hitting an Elim it seems too planned and too perfect. And since a bus directly helps the Elims stall it out here... that's where my vote will go for now. Might swap to Xino depending on @Mist's response. So what do you all think? Other note: @Elkanah, I may have done the same thing as you last night.
  13. Er, I'm not Elk or CadCom, but I can post something. I may be a little bit biased here, but Elk decided to vote for me... after I say that I didn't read the thread? When I had looked there was one vote apiece on Straw, Matrim, and Jester, and I couldn't glean where the suspicion was coming from on any of them. So I let it be then and didn't have time to check it after. On Mat and Illwei, last minute vote switching is rather bad, but honestly if I had seen Straw was about to be lynched I may have done the same thing (or at least tied it), just earlier. I don't think that incriminates Straw for being vote-saved (or at least it incriminates Matrim more). And Illwei... still has a vote on me after saying he'd move it off, but I can see that "poke" not being satisfied by my I-wasn't-here-and-now-I'm-gone post. Speaking of which, Illwei, how'd you like to see which one of us wins the vote tie this time? Kidding, Illwei. In interest of not dying... Elkanah. @Elkanah, can you explain your vote on me (more)? You seemed to just overlook my inactivity post entirely, then went inactive yourself.
  14. I honestly didn’t get the chance to read the thread past my last post... Edit: I’m not sure if I can put that in blue because my only reason is I was finishing CS and playing Among Us, but that’s what I did.
  15. Well, I did yesterday and I don't have time to make a further judgement It's better than giving up, definitely, but... eh. Explicitly claiming Village is NAI, but repeatedly implicitly claiming Village can be. Although I don't know if you were repeating it or not.
  16. I never posted here, did I. Well, as I said in the LG, I have a ton of CS homework to do and my entire program just crashed, so that's fun. I read Straw and Mat fairly Village D1, although Mat did try to lynch me... I mean, that helps a bit more than it hurts. Although now he just insisted he'd be a mislynch that sets of little alarm bells. To answer a half question from Straw, yeah, I did eliminate a lot of suspicions due to meta reasons, but that was after a D1 where I was too busy with life to get in-game reasons. I'd be willing to lynch most of the people on that list today or more likely tomorrow. I'll be chained to my laptop for a few more hours so let me know if you have any quick questions / vote requests / votes on me.
  17. I got a lot of CS Homework to do today, but I have a post I can write up in a bit once I get a sense of how long it will take. Edit: Long. The answer is Long.
  18. The WHAT?!
  19. Well, for one thing that kill is... slightly awkward for me, and two, is that the Spy we just lost? Or an Aviar Spy?
  20. The one time I give Ventyl the benefit of the doubt... sigh. My guess is he never got the chance to steal anything because nobody claimed they lost an item, although I'm not entirely sure how that would work. It's also surprising how we lost an Elim with so few total votes... this could have been a bus. That could explain some things.
  21. Shoulda seen that coming... I'm against Gears because it would be his second D1 lynch in a row (which I think a few of us agreed on) and because Reading died D1 last game... and especially because I was the one to kill him. Maybe that was just me, but I've only been skimming the thread thanks to the LG. That and I can never get people to vote Silber in the late game when I try to... And, who else is there? Mat and Straw seem to be good; Ghander, Jester, Windrunner, and Turtle are all new; Kings_Way is essentially new; CadCom and Reading are returning after long breaks; Illwei I essentially just got mislynched; Mint I always end up tunneling on; Gears is a no; and Vapor is inactive with reason from Mist in the LG. That leaves me, Silber, and Elkanah. I'd rather lynch Silber for total inactivity than Elkanah for partial inactivity.
  22. I don't really see a reason not to encourage activity... and if we're agreed that we aren't lynching Reading or Gears that narrows down our options based on analysis. I'll stay with it unless Silber posts or someone has another option.
  23. For some reason I thought that the lynch protectee was Public; it's been that way in the game's I've read through. They may have been if it's not.
  24. Probably because we just D1 lynched him in the LG... I think Silber’s a fair lynch. Rollover’s late enough it might hit his timezone, and having consequences for inactivity is a idea I can support. ... because it can convince me to post here more .
