    My school starts at 7:45, which, if you've done any research into teen's neurochemistry--specifically their circadian rhythm--is horrifyingly early.

    Something just happened. 

    When I woke up, my mom told me that my school was being delayed two hours because of a threat of some kind that the police were investigating. And just now, she informed me that school was being closed for the entire day for the same reason. 

    This is very weird and a little bit scary, partly because I don't know what this threat is.

      I heard some stuff at school today that the threat was a kid who threatened to do a shooting or something similar, and that in the past he'd done some pretty bad stuff I'd rather not repeat. But all this might just be speculation, because some kids who were sitting next to me in one of my classes were gossiping about it.

      This is a news report I found that explains the official story:

      A suspect has been arrested by [Redacted] authorities after allegedly posting a social media threat against a student at [Redacted] High School in [Redacted].

      The suspect, 18-year-old [Redacted], was reportedly involved in an altercation with another student prior to the incident. [Redacted] had made similar threats to this student that were then passed around on social media, as others interpreted the threats as [Redacted] planning to "shoot up the school."

      While police found no evidence to support the claim that [Redacted] was planning to shoot up the school, they did have evidence of [Redacted]'s threats to kill a 16-year-old classmate.

      Classes were canceled at [Redacted] on Friday after the threat was reported to [Redacted] police and school administrators.

      According to a [Redacted] Police Department Facebook post, deputies received information regarding an online social media threat toward [Redacted] early Friday morning. [Redacted]'s Resource Deputy was advised and he alerted school staff. 

      The school sent a text message to [Redacted] parents early Friday morning, saying the school would start two hours late due to a potential threat. However, [Redacted] administrators decided to cancel all Friday classes at the school for the safety of students and staff as they worked with deputies to identify the person who posted the threat on social media, according to the post.

      [Redacted] has been booked into the [Redacted] Jail for felony harassment and threats to kill charges.

      So yeah. Crazy stuff.

    Last night I had a dream. This in and of itself was notable, because I don't usually dream, which is why I think it's worth a status update. Anyway, I was playing tennis, except me and my opponent both were using lightsabers lightsabers instead of tennis racquets. And somehow, it was actually working. I also vaguely remember a minigun with a label or sticker or something about friendship.

    Now go wish Fadran a happy birthday.

    Something very weird just happened. I was playing Breath of the Wild, and... this happened.

    I followed steps 1-7 of this video. I didn’t have the map on my other file, so I skipped steps 8-13 and loaded the save I made. Instead of putting me above the arena like it was supposed to, it instead put me inside the Shrine of Resurrection chamber that takes you to the final trial, and the door was closed and not opening up. I ended up interacting with the One-Hit Obliterator. For some reason, it put me below the room and let me fall. After it finished the intro cutscene for the Obliterator, immediately took it back. I tried interacting with it and teleporting onto solid ground before it could take it, but to no avail. I visited the overworld edition of the Shrine of Resurrection and found the Obliterator there-- long before it should have appeared. I took it and tried teleporting to a few locations outside the Plateau (Travel Medallion, Hateno shrine, Vah Ruta interior, Vah Medoh interior), but it always just took the Obliterator. Sometime during this process, some sort of visual glitch occurred. My Master Sword was flipping upside down when I was facing certain directions and when it was on my back, and the blue parts of its sheath were invisible.* I got Vah Ruta’s map and tried teleporting there again, but to no avail. At this point, I tried continuing with the quest normally, and died almost immediately. I got the obliterator again and noticed that it was stuck in its 1-damage state. I tried teleporting to my Travel Medallion again, and this time it actually worked. I teleported to Hateno Village, removed the Infinite Jump Glitch, and hung up the Obliterator. I triggered an autosave and reloaded it to see if the Obliterator would regain its infinite damage, but it didn’t. At this point, I reloaded the last manual save I’d made (the one made when setting up the glitch), teleported to the Shrine of Resurrection to see if the Obliterator was still there (it wasn’t), saved, and reloaded the save. I then shut down the game and started it back up. It was only then that the glitch mentioned earlier (apparently) deactivated. I have yet to see whether there will be any lasting effects.

    *This happened with the other two weapons I’d equipped-- the Ancient Spear and the One-Hit Obliterator itself-- so I see no reason why this wouldn’t work on other weapons as well. I can’t remember how it affected bows and shields.

    Additional notes (could be important?):

    • I’d entered all Divine Beasts except Rudania, but hadn’t progressed in any of them, including obtaining the map.
    • I was trying to get the Master Cycle on my Master Mode file.
    • I placed my Master Mode Travel Medallion three times when attempting to perform the glitch-- once in a different flower field on the same hill; twice in the right spot
    • I teleported out of the Final Trial either before or soon after the main room of the trial came into view (I can’t remember which one).
    • My Normal Mode Travel Medallion was in Hyrule Castle.
    • My Master Mode Travel Medallion might have been slightly off-- could be why I loaded in the wrong spot?

       

    Anything in italics is something that I think might actually matter-- anything else is just in case.

    This was the content of a doc I made to help me remember exactly what happened in case I want to re-create it. (If anyone else wants to try, just be sure to tell me of any findings.) I'll attempt my original intention-- getting the Master Cycle early-- again, though I'll see if I can interact with the Obliterator again as I do so.

      I tried it again yesterday, but I managed to spawn on top of the elevator. I managed to clip through the outside ceiling by standing on a flat part and waiting for the invisible ceiling at the top of the elevator shaft to push me through, but there was still the interior ceiling blocking me. So, if anyone knows how to clip through floors on command, that would be amazing.

      I guess more accurately, I spawned at the top of the elevator shaft and dropped down to the top of the elevator. (Though, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that if I spawned in the elevator, it would put me inside the pedestal. I should move my Medallion slightly and try again.)

    In my band class, we had a group project where we had to come up with a candy with certain types of attributes, such as taste, appearance, an adverse effect, etc. Here's what my group came up with:

    The story is that the 10,000 year old honey came from Egypt and is cursed from the tomb. Whoever uses it turns into a bee until they eat normal honey. The strawberry is from China which is why it cures cancer The pineapple come from the Congos and makes whoever eats it taste salt until the end of the day. In order to not get any of these curses from these amazing tasting fruits you must eat raysium so you don't turn into a bee, you don't taste salt, and you can't cure cancer. 12 hours after eating the bar your head explodes into confetti unless you eat the raysuim. The candy bar is made out gummies and is called Candy's.

    On February 3rd, someone by the username GarClisk (Without any content- no status updates, no posts, nothing) posted on my profile about cheap Viagra without a prescription along with a link. I reported it, saw an administrator on the profile a few minutes later, and noticed that the post had been taken down. It was weird, but I assumed that it was over. 

    Two weeks later- down to the hour at least- I received a post from the username ZavidAcume- same circumstances, same message. Only the username and exact wording were different..  I reported it right away, and almost immediately, the post was taken down, accompanied by Chaos himself visiting the offender. 

    I have so many questions: Why is this happening? Is this happening to anyone else? If not, why did they pick me? What the heck is going on?!?

      So here's the thing. It depends on your definition of Surgebinding. Surgebinding would be the Rosharan definition of all of the magics. They would call the Metallic Arts Surgebinding. You are binding the powers of creation, which the word "Surge" is that word translated from Rosharan into English, that's what the word means in Rosharan, is the powers of creation. The fundamental forces which inspired me to make this. So they would consider all of them to be Surgebinding. And that's just what you're doing, you are binding and using those powers.

      Other people, including Khriss, would not agree with that definition. They would say: Surgebinding is specifically binding, through the Nahel bond, the spren, the specific manifestations of Investiture on Roshar, by using specific sets of oaths in order to gain access to those powers. So she would say: no, that is not Surgebinding when someone uses Allomancy. I would lean with her on that one, but the other one's a viable definition.

      What you're really asking is, can someone, one of the Rosharan, the Knightly Radiant Orders, could they power that with a different form of Investiture from a different planet? And yes, this is possible, though there might be some difficulties in making it work, which I haven't explained entirely yet. But yes, this is possible. In fact, it is possible to power all of the different magics with the different forms of Investiture. That is a possibility
