Spark raised his... their hand in greeting to the two nearing him. Neither felt scared or angry, which was a good sign. Just a quiet sense of determination in both of them to see their tasks done, and curiosity in the one running towards him.

Spark senses two sets of emotions near him and sighs. He loves being with people, but it's kind of exhausting to feel everything at once. He looks around for the people feeling them. @Experience @Channelknight Fadran

Alex smiles in excitement over this new progression in his wizarding career, then excuses himself from the room. He looks into the crystal ball and says "Go up to Long Island Sound. You're going to find a special item there that you need to keep with you. It will help you get a wand later, which is what we most need. Oh, and after that get to London as fast as you can."

Spark says goodbye to their friends and walks across the meadow towards his family's estate under the full moon. Now that they're finally away from everyone they... he can relax.

Alex pulls out his mini crystal ball, about the size of a softball, full of cloudy mist. "Yes, which reminds me, I need to tell myself about the trade we made"

"I... haven't had many friends to say whether or not I would be." He looks down. "No one is going to say they'd be disloyal, but I don't think I'd trust and support someone like that just because they're nice to me. I'd want to have something in return." @Channelknight Fadran

Alex drops the bag into her hand

Alex throws a glance at Iris, trying to make sure she realizes just how awesome he is

Alex pulls the bag away and smirks. "What do you think?"

Alex smiles and blushes a bit from embarrassment. "Well, ma'am, I'm sure we can work something out of a trade." He pulls a ziploc bag out of his pocket. Inside are four strands of golden hair. "This here, I don't know what it is, but it's obviously magical. I found it on my travels in the US at Long Island at some kind of strawberry farm. There was some kind of barrier that I couldn't cross, but this was slightly outside it. My skills in Divination give me the impression they might be helpful for your craft. It seems like some kind of wool"

Alex just listens to the two women speak, trying not too look too excited.

"Each to their own. I have my own faith" he pats the holster of one of his guns. "Faith is for those that don't see the ugly side of godhood and death." -
A shriek comes from the other side of the train from the girl Lloyd talked to as her friends are shot. Grabbing one of the Talon members she throws him out of the broken windows and screams again as she barely manages to block the next barrage of rifle fire with her shield. From the floor, Jay kicks the nitrous oxide away, but not before everyone gets a big dose of it, and it's not far away enough that it's not going to affect them

Jay reacted with what would have been lightning speed normally, but his leg threw him off too much. Instead of pushing Janice and Aryanna down and rushing the man who just dived in, he fell on the floor in a very undignified fashion. The Dusters Lloyd was talking to draw their weapons and move to get between civilians and the stranger.

Alex runs after her, careful not to let her out of his sight. "Buy? I don't have any money. And I wouldn't want to make you pay"

They all look at you. One of them, a girl with short hair, a cap pulled over her head, and a shield slung over her back, says "Um, we were assigned to patrol the woods outside of Clearview. They've had some Yevon attacks recently. Do we know you?"

We're passing through the Farwind Forest District, we'll arrive at Fort Corefinder within 45 minutes. Next stop after that is the capital city, Premier. Jay puts his hood behind his head as a bit of a pillow as the train delves into the trees.

Jay cracks an eye open. "Probably. But they have no reason to suspect you as long as you don't do anything stupid. And what Cadenza said"

With a jolt of acceleration, the train starts. Jay settles into a seat and closes his eyes

The inside of the train is made for utility, not comfort. The seats are a kind of cloth that is easy to clean, although there are still stains in a few places. A few people stand rather than sit, holding onto handholds attached to the walls or ceiling, even though there are seats. Signs encourage people to be on the lookout for Yevon or wild animals as they enter the woods, and report any suspicious activity to the police or a local Guardian. There are people here from all walks of life. There are still tourists from Halcyon, wide eyed and still shaken; some hunters from the outer settlements, weathered and carrying their wares and weapons; city folk heading home from work, and even a few Dusters who seem to be on assignment, going over a plan between them, with their weapons sheathed.
