Jay shakes his head. "Why do i always end up in this situation?" he mutters. He looks her in the eyes. "I won't let that happen. I'm sure there's something we can do to cancel out... whatever it is. But if I'm wrong and there's no saving you, yes, I will. Just don't expect me to give up on you very easily."

He shrugs and then winces as that forces the knife a little closer to his neck. "It was worth a shot. Now, I'll be uh... leaving, now" He tries to move the knife away from his neck with his finger

"Do you know what's in your future? What you're going to become, what obstacles are in your path, your foes and allies yet to be?"

His eyes grow wide and a few sparks fly out of his fingers. "You wouldn't happen to give me a chance to explain myself first? I may be able to offer you something"

Alex puts his hands up. "I don't have any money. And if you hold it there any longer I'll scream." He sounds calm but inside his head it's going "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH"

Just as everyone is finishing, Selia walks in, yawning over her book, and absentmindedly grabs the plate of pancakes with her right hand, then drops it back onto the table, wincing. She puts her book under her arm and picks up the plate with her other hand, then over to a table and starts eating.

Alex ducked into an alley and pulled out his crystal ball, then quickly put it away after seeing two girls. He didn't want any questions. He'd have to find his own alley.

"Hey hey. Ssshh, it's ok." Jay grabs one of her hands and holds it with both of his. "It's ok, you're safe"

Alex walked down the street, wondering what had taken him here. Obviously this whole "magic" thing still took some working out, although so far the visions he'd gotten from the crystal ball he bought at the gift shop had been working pretty well. Annoyingly, the wand he'd bought there had not, in fact, worked. That was the most important thing in his visions, was the wand. His future self was very firm on that point, but Alex couldn't quite figure out how to get one that actually worked. He sighed. There were some... interesting people in the crowd today. There was a man with a tall hat who was wearing a flannel shirt and plaid shorts that clashed terribly, a woman who was wearing a jacket as a cape tied around her neck and the sleeves tucked into her belt, and a girl who kept looking around with an odd lump in her sleeve.

"Oh shush. Next time you can take me on the adventure. Now get to your room before Brightness gets down here"

... "I think we're good for now. Let's go." Selia pushes open the door and darts upstairs

Selia pauses. "Melody, can you find Lady Sebarial and tell me where she is?" ... "Thank you"

Selia darts into the room and pulls Ros in with her

The doorknob melts and Selia shoves it again, shaking on her hand and sucking on a new set if butns

Miera's emotionless facade crumbles a little bit. "...Yes"

"Definitely not. I'm only a novice, there are Aes Sedai who are much more skilled than I, or even Accepted. But..." she lifts up her chin defiantly "Marin Sedai says I have the potential to be a powerful channeller"

... "what?!?" ... "oh rusts" Selia darts into the hallway on the right and into a door picked at random

"My name is Miera Caldan, I'm from the town of Fayardelain in Carhein. I came here from the White Tower." Miera says in a monotone, not looking at her interrogator

This woman had the bearing of an Aes Sedai. She obviously wasn't, but it was always better to be honest with women like that. "I understand, mi'lady" Hopefully that would work. She wasn't completely useless though, maybe she could find some information from the questions she asked.

Looked like a teacher. This might be a useful place to break into later, but for now she definitely didn't want to bother him. But hey, she could pick locks three different ways now! ... "What?" ... "Ok" Selia looks between the two doors left in this hallway, then chooses the one on the right, moving a bit quicker now.
