So, the god of the ground gave up his sentience and anchored himself to the ground to stabilize the planet. We don't know why the god of the ground didn't just let the other one die, but I have a feeling it was to prevent what ended up happening anyway... so, We are imbued with the people god's power. We can give a portion up and draw in the ground god's power of creation. This allows us to use magic. I think I explained it all."

I think they said that because so many stories have the main character who was a normal person discovered to actually be more tied into the story and what they want is a person who got to where they are because they worked hard. I don't know if this is what they meant, but that is my assumption.

This is really weird. I am in a weird land of a bunch of weird people, and the unabandoned are unheard of. "Are you... Do you think that god, the one of the world I mean, abandoned us?"
