Condensation

Vivace gazed up at a corner of her cell, imagining it. Then a vital detail occurred to her. She turned her head. "What does it smell like? Does it smell like rain?"

"Sounds nice. And the sky?"

"I guess so." After a pause, Vivace tilted her head and sat down against the door. "So, what is the weather like out there?"

"I'll keep that in mind."

" Right now? To get out of here. After that, I'm taking down Kade. Then I'll see."

"Well, that depends on what your goals are. I can be handy to have on your side in a pinch. However, I'll get out of here one way or another. It doesn't matter that much to me whether you let me out or not."

"That's a shame." Vivace stalked closer to the bars. "You're sure you wouldn't like to free me? I could be useful... now."

"Just receiving confirmation."

"Good to know. I assume you are Tailos?"

"I must admit, it is by design. However, I think you are helping much less then you have the means to as well."

"There are a couple settlements near here, I should think. Probably to one of those, especially if they have a good inn."

Not... sure what to think of that, but she obviously has the capacity to let us out. Seem nonthreatening, I should think. "I have no idea. I don't think he'll come back for me, he isn't the type."

Glissando looked away somewhat guiltily. Well, they did let me join knowing that I had people chasing me. It's not my fault if they get in the way of the people chasing me. "Okay, how is he supposed to get back?"

As the sun passed below the horizon, Daolan looked over. "Okay, everyone should probably head to bed. I'm going to go requisition a tent for Martin and me, good night!" Herate smiled and hugged him gently before walking behind the command tent to check on Fox and Nath. After that, she'd go to bed.

"Both," Chorale said darkly, then put a hand to her head. The leopard can and will help us with time! Well, I'm not staking anything on it. We're going after him if we get out. No, all that'll do is cause him to distrust you more! I don't want him as an ally, we'll do just fine without him! Regardless, you shouldn't close that path. We'll talk if we do ever get out, but for now I'm saying both. Vivace struggled against Chorale. Winning out, she pretended to reconsider. "Actually, maybe just the Amal movement." Chorale screamed and raged at her, but Vivace stayed strong. This is what's best, you'll see. No, it's not! Wait - I know what this is. Give up your foolish infatuation and see facts! Infatuation? How dare you? Vivace shoved Chorale's consciousness back farther and faced the door again.
