Pia closed her eyes and silently squealed. She looked back at Phaedrus and smiled. "Thank you."

Pia could have made a joke there, but she got the gist. It wasn't really all that funny. "Sounds yummy."

"I knew that. What does it taste like?"

"Yeah, cotton candy. Um... what's cotton candy like?"

"So... what did you have for breakfast?" It was sort of a silly topic, but it was happy... right?

"I don't know. What do you like to talk about?"

Pia laughed, then glanced around. It didn't seem like anyone had heard her... she hoped they hadn't.

Cadence poked the woman with her beak. Hey! What's your name?

"I mean, I'm fine to sit alone. It looked like you and Tangerine were chatting."

Today in my class, we were listing things that we wanted to be. Then we were supposed to find a partner and tell them that they were the things they wanted to be, and then tell ourselves we were the things we wanted to be. There were an odd number of people in the class, so I paired with the teacher. She told me that I already was all of those things. I'm so happy! Because I didn't think I was! -
