  1. I bet its one we haven't seen yet. On the other hand, I just read Chapter One of Mistborn Prime and my god, Brandon's syntax, in this novel, is just awful. I like the premise of the book and it could have a lot more impact with better sentence structure, but its definitely the worst Sanderson novel I've read so far.
  2. Only the Prologue and part of the first chapter
  3. Odium can't whisper to people like Ruin can. Preservation and Ruin made Scadrial and all life on it. Ruin is a part of them. Odium on the other hand didn't make Roshar, he's not on the planet and he's bound to braize. Also Odium probably has an inkling due to the Fused being told to keep an eye out for him.
  4. You know anyone who's read Final Empire Prime? It's one of the last on my list and I really want to see the early "Lord Ruler" also here's what the covers of the other books will look like!!!
  5. I think Brandon said he does plan on a cosmere world named Lor, so it could be either simon_thekillerewok Is there a planet called Lor? (aka what planet will Aether of Night take place on). Brandon Sanderson I do plan a planet called Lor. But Aether of Night is very in flux right now, so I won't canonize where it takes place. Children of the Nameless Reddit AMA (Dec. 14, 2018)
  6. I hadn't thought of Vax being Aethers planet. It could be though, with Brandon slowly working it into the Cosmere with Mraizes little trophy. I bet a lot of Yolen will still be the same. The "two lands meeting"(Hoid says so in Warbreaker), the city of Partinel will probably be there too
  7. I didn't want to read the Dragonsteel chapters if it wasn't the whole book. I did read both versions of LoP and I Loved them. Brandon talked about how he felt it a chore to write every chapter and how he had trouble shifting the main PoV to Hoid from Theus and I felt that, but it was by no means "bad" my favorite parts were Hoids first time telling a story and the Fain Forest. Imagine walking through a Hauntingly pure white forest I wasn't really a fan of the Aethers, they were interesting, but it just felt like they weren't really important, if you know what it mean? They were a big part of the chapters and what was happening, but they just didnt... fit.
  8. I've only read AoN and the prologues of Whitesand and Mistborn but I feel Whitesand is just as good as the rest of the published works(minus the typos) I already found my favorite quote in Mistborn Prime though "The primary tenet of the Mistborn, Kathin thought, realizing the trap went further than he expected. Any man will betray you" This is what Reen/Ruin always told Vin in the Books. I love the way he incorporates these ideas into the Published books. The original idea is still somewhat present in the Published books, but instead of it being the "primary tenet of the mistborn" it's kinda like Vin's own personal tenet with Reen/Ruin telling her all the time
  9. Mistborn Prime was completed. It's 19 chapters(21 if you count epilogue and prologue) Brandon took the best elements of this book and "Final Empire Prime" and made "Mistborn: The Final Empire" the book we know today The full title of Mythwalker is "Warbreaker Prime: Mythwalker" it's just the prime version of the Warbreaker we know. Brandon shelved it after 21 or 22 chapters
  10. @Honorless @The Traveller yes, I got it printed. The Traveller, it is hardcover. I thought for only $15 I might as well get it printed. I also have another coming in with a updated cover and a exert from the prologue on the back. I also have copies of Whitesand Prose, Mythwalker and Mistborn Prime Coming in
  11. what if Adonalsium and the 16 are just a piece of an even larger entity

    Vax

I've only seen what we we know already.
  13. Eternal Khol

    Vax

Brandon has said that some places have CR's that look alike
  14. So if matter, energy and Investiture are all the same thing in the Cosmere Are the edges of the Cosmere a giant prison for everything created inside? I bet everything "Cosmere" would be bound inside its borders. But what if non-Cosmere matter tried to enter?
  15. Eternal Khol

    Vax

Ati appears and thinks he's on/at Vax This suggests that Vax is either in the CR or on a world where the realms blend a little more and you can see into the CR. I'm leaning towards the latter
  16. Eternal Khol

    Vax

Steeldancer Would it be correct to say that the highstorms on Roshar have left the realms closer together than on other worlds? Brandon Sanderson You could say [that] is true. I'd be comfortable with that idea. Though there are worlds where this goes even further than on Roshar. Skyward Pre-Release AMA (Oct. 4, 2018) I bet one of these world/worlds is Vax
  17. This is probably the most telling WoB on Adonalsium I've seen Pod (paraphrased) You said at the Starsight release that [Adonalsium] was intentionally preventing the spren from accessing Surges through fabrials and such pre-Shattering. Was this a passive or active effect? Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased) It was kind of both - the way [Adonalsium] worked was just that the way he saw the world was the way the world worked. He didn't want the spren to be able to do that, so they couldn't. Pod (paraphrased) So did [Adonalsium] want to die? Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased) *makes face along with various non committal hmings* Pod (paraphrased) That at least gives credibility to the theory. Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased) Yeah, it gives credibility to the theory. Footnote: *I don't know how to describe the face - it definitely wasn't confirmation but it looked incriminating to me American Fork High School Signing (Dec. 12, 2019) so with Adonalsium, the way he saw things was the way things were. the spren couldn't access the surges because that's what adonalsium saw, so that's the way it worked. so is this saying that whatever adonalsium wished to see, happened.? Like if there was nothing and he wanted to see a world, would it magically appears? its like the chicken and egg theory. did adonalsium want to see something, so he did? or did he see something that was already there and that's the way things were? like the spren couldn't access the surges because he saw them that way? Or they already couldn't access the surges and he saw that so that became "law"
  18. @Honorless this WoB has some pretty big implications Questioner (paraphrased) So what happens when Shards die? Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased) Well, it depends on how long the Shardholders have held the Shard. After it dies, the Shard is often able to continue acting, a kind of "Cognitive Shadow" of sorts. For example, the mists were able to continue doing what Preservation wished in helping out Vin and Snapping people. With the Stormfather, he is that Cognitive Shadow, and he's semi-sentient. It's that power, but no one is actually holding it. We also see this on Threnody. Orem signing 2014 (Dec. 6, 2014) this implies that The Evil of Threnody or the Shades are a Cognitive Shadows of sorts of Ambitions power. Not necessarily a CS but the power is continuing to act on Uli Da's wishes before her Death.
  19. Brandon has also stated that the Shards are pretty much just large scale Splinters
  20. After Nazh fires his "shade gun" the runes on the gun flash green, and right when he's about to fire they turn red. This reminds me a lot of a shades eyes when you start to break The Simple Rules.
  21. Im still not sure what to make of Order and Chaos As stated by the Former "In the end, Decay imprisoned them as well, trapping them within the very forces they had manipulated." So the twins "manipulated" Order and Chaos. Created the Aethers from them and somehow ended up being trapped in them. But it seems that they did follow the Former's Intent. The most notable example being the Aethers. or maybe it was because the former was trapped in them. The Former's word's: "From these they crafted gifts. Dark, hateful gifts. Powers that draw upon the essence of that which MAKES. It's like they were connected to The Former/Adonalsium because the Formers "intent" for lack of better word, was making/forming things, but at the same time they were "Manipulating" Order/Chaos which are "creation itself" as stated by the Former In chapter 1 Agaris says that that his Prison A.K.A Order, locked him off from creation. In chapter 27 The Former states that Order and Chaos are Creation itself
  22. I can't delete the boxes not matter what I try. But it's fine
  23. Its feels like it could be shades but maybe it's also a regular Scadrian CS In Secret History, we see Hoid using a CS as a boat to get through the cognitive realm. I'm leaning more towards shades though because they are deadly.
  24. But it doesn't let me remove it
