As soon as they were out of reach of the attack, Exodus let go of the ball of light, and for about five long seconds the entire world became, simply, soft white light.
It slowly dissipated, and in a large circle around Exodus, all the orcs stood, unmoving. Not because of respect, or any other thing of men, but because they could not. Their hands were shielding their eyes and their bodies were scrambling away from where Exodus now stood—and they remained absolutely frozen.
Exodus turned back to Ara and Minuet and spread out his arms. "How's that?"
