"But..." Cruz struggled to explain. "Why can't you die?"

Cruz shrugged, then changed the subject a bit. "Where did you come from? Did the Queen, like, create you?"

"If we can't win," Cruz whispered, "Then what do we do? Lose?"

Cruz stood up. "She's horrible—see, this is why we need to do something. Like, now."

What I meant is the amount of people adamantly not interested in the game who have since downloaded Fortnite, paid $20 on a Kelsier skin, only to never play it again. Regrettable.

"Trace!" he cried, moving as if to support her despite her not being solid. "What... what's she doing to you?"

"Trace!" Cruz panicked. "Don't do that!?"

"First things first, where are you, exactly?"

Cruz frowned. "How 'bout we save you first, then we can kill the Queen—and don't tell me how that's not possible again, I don't want to hear it."

"So... what's the plan on saving you, then? Is that what Janice is trying to do now? Or is it just me?"

"And that's what Vespyr is?" Cruz asked. "You mean there are more Vespyrs!?"

Gah, now that you've said that I can see it being cut.

While yes, it has drawn some attention to the Mistborn books, it seems to me that far more Kelsier fans have been drawn to Fortnite... something of which I am very displeased.

"Where is Vespyr, anyway?" Cruz asked. "And... what are Dreadlords? I'm afraid I'm a bit unaware as to what's been going on, as I do not possess the ability to pop around places as I please."

Cruz narrowed his eyes. "Wasn't a yevon bunny?"

"Oh, really? I never would have guessed." Cruz grabbed the report back and tossed it into the pile. "Anyway, how'd the scouting go?"

Cruz leafed through his newfound collection and grabbed a report he had snagged off of some rich noble. "Try that," he said, setting it down on the floor, "I'm thinking maybe knowing stuff could help out, maybe, possibly. We're talking about the Qhoral Queen, after all."
