    Cruz nods. "Let's get off this island. I think our next target is Lena, of Rova. I plan to take her out myself, if you don't mind. You can take out the rest of them, but you wait for my sing. I'll take her out first. It's... for personal reasons."

    “Yep,” Cruz said, “Gotta fight darkness with darkness, as long as our darkness is justified.” He dropped from the tree. “And you need to learn what is justified and what is not, I think,” he said half-jokingly, “Or all of Siren will end up dead at your hands, and you will be known by any Survivors as Pandora herself.”

    “I follow the ways of Hiylera, God of Water, Life, Air, and Light. Killed by Pandora, God of Death and Darkness, yet she was weakened enough by the attack to not pose as much of a threat. The other Raodeans see Dusters as a holy calling, as the Yevon are supposedly of Pandora. He is said to still, somehow, appear to people. Though I’ve never really understood that, considering he’s dead and all.” “You can see now why I have to play the role of God with the Raodeans. God is dead, but I carry on his work.”

    Cruz nods, understanding. “In a way, we are the sword of God. It’s why I earned my Assassin’s moniker, the Destroying Angel. Though, I must admit I’m the only who calls myself that, as I’m too stealthy to be tied to any of my murders.”

    “Maybe,” Cruz said. “Do you know why I kill? It’s not for the sake of killing, though I am, as you pointed out, an assassin. And it’s not always for the money or power, though those are useful perks.” He took another bite of a carrot. Good stuff. “No, young Trace. I’m not that selfish. Only partly. The real reason I kill, you see, is to execute the judgements of my God, for he cannot. To bring some semblance of justice to an unjust world. The priests of this land see it as a religious duty to destroy the monsters that are Yevon. I, however, take that further. These corrupt nobles will be punished for their crimes by God himself, in the form of me.”

    Cruz sighed a little. "And why must the voice be killed? You just have a preference for killing, and this voice is just annoying? Forgive me for the question, but I really don't understand what motivates you."

    "Doesn't mean I'm out trying to kill off all of Siren's population. I know why I kill. Why do you kill?"

    Knight spawns into the game as well. "Hello? How do you play? My internet is 7 days too slow I think."

    I take it back. Looking back at the conversation, I think the majority of the fans won't even notice.

    Cruz jumped and caught one of the branches of the tree, and flipped himself right-side-up. He pulled out a second carrot and took a giant bite out of it. "So, what's with this voice in your head? Drives you to kill or something?"

    Cruz purchased some bread, crackers, and cheese from the stand and handed it to Trace.

    "You don't have any allergies or dietary restrictions?"

    "You have kids? You're older than you look."

    Cruz walks her over into the city until they find a grocery stand, where Cruz grabs some carrots and a salad for himself. "What do you want?" he whispered, "And try not to let your... face... get seen."

    "We're headed to Astur now," said Cruz, "And, by the way, do you need something to eat? I've only got a granola bar."

    "I mean, I could take them. I don't know about Phaedrus."

    "Well, I hear Koid is a nice place to live. Maybe."

    "The people of Vorar are... upset. It's almost morning anyway."
