    "Exactly. And he's the whole reason she's found me! And he's convinced you too." She sighed and spun, avoiding any half-hearted attempts to hold her back. "I can't trust any of you guys, can I? And you'll keep coming after me." In her anger, she made a foolhardy decision. "I don't know where I'll go, but anywhere is better than here." She dropped her staff and it dissipated. A field grew around her, then suddenly flew inwards until it vanished, taking her with it.

    After a few minutes of hiking, Elend's stomach growls. He puts down his pack to grab some food, then notices a bottle inside, similar to the other one. I wonder. He hikes back to the shore, keeping away from the others, and smashes his bottle. @AonDii

    T stormed towards the tree line. "No one... why..." she grumbles. She hears Fadran coming up and turns to face him. "Yes?"

    "Yes. Let her know, at least. Please."

    "It's a long story, but here we go. On my planet, we have apprenticeships for kids with magic. I was apprenticed to a woman named Tawny. At first, I would do anything for her, seeking her approval. Eventually, I grew out of that, so she used force instead. She's one of the strongest Mentalists, people with mental powers, I know, so I quickly learned to just obey, although distance decreases the effects. Anyways, Tawny sent me to find someone named Tara from our world, and I suspect Tara was her apprentice. Tawny doesn't like being defied. I've been searching for her since. I had some sneaking suspicions in the Universe Hexagon, but by the time I was sure, I'd fallen for T. But then Tawny contacted me, so I ran out into the woods. T followed me and broke her ankle. When I realized T was hurt and I couldn't feel Tawny, I helped her back, but I called her by her full name. She needed to know, so I started to tell her, and at that point," he paused. "At that point, she was done with me." He forced back tears. "She needs to know that Tawny's nearly found her. I can leave, she can stay with you. I...I don't know where I'll go."

    "I think it's her old teacher. My teacher, at least. She's... I'm not sure what she is. And I was working for her, at first, at least."

    "That's what I wanted to talk to you about. Essentially, someone is coming after T. And she wants nothing to do with me."

    "This is about this. And no, everything isn't okay." T glanced around, then saw the group. There. She started walking, then noticed him. Ember. Is nowhere safe? She abruptly turned and started storming off.

    The tent is deserted, Rarashe and Sien having left in preparation for her awakening. As she slowly realized what had happened, she grew angry. "Fadran, then? Or has Ember talked to him too." She got up, then noticed the cast on her ankle. "Thank you. I guess." She leaned on her staff as she exited the tent and looked around. Ember walked up to the crowd. "Fadran, when you have a minute, I'd like to talk to you." He shifted nervously, watching the healers tent. I'd assume she made it into there.

    *hugs* oof. Strep is never fun, especially if you can't get treated *hugs* I'm glad the Shard could help! I know many of us have been able to find support or just a way to forget our burdens here.

    When he arrived at the stream, he started picking his way up the rocks on the streambed. At least I'll have water.

    Ember spotted the group gathered up ahead, including Fadran, and he sped up slightly, then realized that Kaia wouldn't like crowds. "Would you like to stay here?" Tara slowly woke up, her head foggy. What had happened? Did Tawny push to hard again? Or no, wait I visited Roshar, and Fadran, and Queen, and Ember. Ember. She opened her eyes. "What did you do to me."

    "We're going to find our, well, my leader. He protests that," he said, chuckling softly, "but it's true." Ember thought about how, somehow, everyone had fallen to following Fadran. "He's a natural leader." He grabs a rag and tips the contents of a bottle onto it. He signals with his fingers 3, 2, 1, then slaps it over her mouth. Caught by surprise, she inhaled once, then struck out with a vengeance, pushing everything away with fields. She jumped up, starting to limp away, then, a moment later, her head started to spin, then she passed out. Rarashe and Sien slowly got up. "Who knew she had powers?" asked Rarashe. "I just assumed her stick was an artifact of some sort. Well, she's unconscious now. We'd better keep her that way while we treat her." Together they picked her up, strapping her onto a table. "She'll probably need a cast?" "Yes. If only there were Elantrians in this camp. That'd make it much faster."
