  1. "Hey!" Ellis pulled himself back to his feet. "Q, what are you doing?"
  2. One timeskip later, Fadran had secured the tree with plenty of ropes, and Aria was hanging from the ceiling. "How are you feeling up there?"
  3. "How do you feel about hanging from a roof by a rope?"
  4. Ellis unsheathed his own sword, then ran at the person attacking Q, swinging his blade in a wide arc. @Ookla the Reserved
  5. After a short timeskip, Fadran decided to godmod and give Lloyd the gift of vocabulary!
  6. "Um... I haven't figured out how to do that yet. At least, not consciously."
  7. "The sum of the fumes doesn't really matter. Depending on the dye's type and purity, the amount can range from one to two doses. I keep a lot of chalk dust on myself for just that reason."
  8. "Making them visible doesn't take any power. Just some concentration."
  9. "I don't think so."
  10. "Uhh... both, I guess."
  11. "Master and I decided to say that a full fume has two... uh... I guess you could call them 'doses.' The most basic spells just call for a single dose of a fume, but those don't have any notable effects, and in order to get something interesting out of the fumes, you have to take fractions of doses and mix them together. Here... maybe I can demonstrate." Valzwyn began concentrating, then opened her eyes as the six fumes became visible. "Great. It worked."
  12. I'm just gonna give you a ninja emoji and call it a day.
  13. "It'll recharge on its own, though I get really hungry when it does. Master said that's because it draws off my own energy. Dyes are optional, but they're useful. I haven't seen any of my fumes go down after I've recharged them, naturally or no. As for the effects... I'm not entirely sure. Like I said, it's easier to measure how they interact."
  14. "Yeah, I still don't really know what the heck I'm doing."
  15. "There are six naturally-occuring ribbons. They're each one of the colors of the rainbow. Usually you can't see them, but they occasionally appear depending on my mood or if I'm using them." At the next questions, Valzwyn scratched her head. "Master said that each ribbon probably has its own properties, but it's easier to measure how each ribbon interacts. I have all the base interactions listed in my spellbook. I can mix them at the same ratio, but I don't tend to do that very often, because I'd have the change the ratio by a lot to really affect the spell's output, and I just don't have the resources for that. What I can do is use dyes to temporarily boost my fumes. If I give a fume a dye similar to its color, it'll get a lot bigger."
  16. "I'm always ready."
