  1. Ellis forked over the cash, pocketing the item he had just bought, then headed back to Melody. "Umm..." he said, "what's going on here?"
  2. Janice shrieked at the scream, clamping her hands over her ears and whimpering loudly. @ProfetessaOscura
  3. "They're thinking it over," Aerith whispered. "These folks aren't exactly smart."
  4. Broken. That's what she was. She was broken. Janice sobbed as Siren took her away. She left a river of tears indistinguishable against the rain. She couldn't speak; she could barely breathe. Her cries took all the strength she had left. Was there anything worth living for anymore? How could she go on after such horrors had happened? How could she go back? Janice dropped her tear-filled eyes onto her arms, sobbing muffled and tears soaked. The phantom pain was still there. She could feel the agony. Aryanna... Cadenza... She tried to speak. The words were trapped in her mind. Jay, Lloyd... oh, Cruz, what am I going to tell you?
  5. Janice shook and shivered on the table. Her sobs were like of a child's; there were no more painful screams to be heard. Great, pulsing sobs. "Please no..." she cried. "Please. Stop it... please stop it... Siren... help..."
  6. Janice's throat was raw from screaming and crying, which made her next peal of vocal agony all the worse. Her muscles seized from the electricity, clamping her jaw shut so that all her words were buzzed by her clenched teeth. "SIREN!!" She screamed. "SIREN, MAKE IT STOP! PLEASE!" Despite the shocks keeping her mouth shut, Janice managed to release a blood-curdling cry of agony, completely incapable of any futher pleads for relief. @ProfetessaOscura
  7. "Well... I had to go back to my parents eventually."
  8. "This is... this was my home."
  9. Janice screamed, thrashing against her bonds. Trace tried to hold on as she was pried out of Janice's mind, but found the power of the Queen to be too much to fight against. Inside her mind... Trace struggled against the power of the Queen. It was fruitless; she knew it was. "Trace! Calm down!" Janice gasped, grabbing her hand. "I can't!" Trace screamed. "Don't let her! Please!" Janice pulled her into a hug. "You'll be alright. You're going to be fine." "No. No I won't." Trace was crying. When was the last time she had cried? "You don't understand. You can't understand." "I do, Trace," Janice replied, holding her in one last embrace. "You know I do." Trace hesitated, then hugged back. "I'm scared." "I know you are. You'll be fine, Trace. You're strong." With a sniff, Trace replied, "you were always stronger." Both Janice's and Trace's consciousnesses were torn from the space in Janice's mind; but Trace's didn't end at Janice's eyes and body. It was ripped out of its habitation, brought before the Queen in a cold kneel. "Your Majesty," Trace whimpered, "please."
  10. Leonie shied back. "I don't... think I want..."
  11. Jinn snaps his fingers. "Done."
  12. "Just reword it! My magic is too complicated for one wish to completely change!"
  13. "Alright. Be very careful about the wording."
  14. "Yeah. Come on inside. It's a little snug in here, but it'll do."
  15. Jinn hesitated. "You sure?"
  16. Jessica nodded appreciatively. "And you're... a Skybreaker? Right? Where does that leave your morals?"
  17. "Uhh... kind of? I'm not very good at it. Why?"
  18. "Pal, you ain't my master." Jinn looked at Shadow. "Wish granted anyways." With a snap of his finger, Shadow became immobile. @Bearer of all agonies
  19. Janice's conscience was suddenly pulled back into her mind. "How dare you!" Trace roared. "We could have been something great, but now... all because of your pitiful little friends... now we're both doomed. Do you realize what she's going to do to me? I thought to myself when you won over, 'maybe she'll stay away from her Majesty. Maybe I'll be fine.' But then you decided to come on your own free will, and now I'm the one who has to pay for it! At least she's letting you just die!" "I'm sorry," Janice whispered. "I'm so sorry, Trace." Trace shook her head. "No you're not." She took a step back. "You're not sorry." "Trace--" "You're not sorry!" Trace shouted. "You hate me!" Janice turned away. "You're right," she said. "You're right. I do hate you..." Trace nodded, as if she hadn't actually known, and this had but confirmed her suspicions. She looked back into Trace's eyes. "But that doesn't mean I can't be sorry." The image in her mind faded, and her thoughts were pulled back into the real world; a world where a Queen was trying to kill her. A world where she was alone. "DON'T HURT HER!" Janice screamed, then started sobbing again. "Please..." @Negative_Null
