    The hours passed by, leading day into dusk, but Janice made no sign of moving.

    "The secret passage..." Val said, pulling open a rather large cupboard, "is right back here." She pushed the backboard like a button; it retracted, then fell into a slot, revealing a secret tunnel.

    Janice pushed open the door to their room, hands shoved even deeper into her pockets. She collapsed on a couch, falling into a dead silence. Her hands were still shaking, though it would take a keen eye to spot them doing so in her pockets.

    "Exactly! If it isn't hard to find, but everybody expects it to be hard to find..." Val tapped her forehead.

    Ayia pushed open the command tent's flap, frowning when she found no one inside. "Fadran? You're not off making out with that Queen girl, are you?" "He's off with a... Nashrainking?" A random soldier (probably named Exposition Man) replied. She frowned. "Huh. Well... I guess I'll wait."

    "I don't remember my parents. Or... at least, I don't well enough to be sad about it. I remember being terrified on the day I killed them, but... I only remember that. I don't feel that. Not anymore." She looked down at her hands: they were shaking. "I just... want... a new family."

    "Home sweet random war camp," Ayia declared, taking a breath. "Alright; time to go find the man in charge." She ran off to find Fadran.

    "Love ta, pal, but I'm gonna need to get my body back first." Trace held up her incorporeal arm. "Thanks anyways." "I'm sorry that you had to go through something like that," Janice said, turning a corner and entering their hotel building.

    "Well, ahh..." Trace shot a look over at Janice. "Go ahead." Janice replied quietly. Trace looked back at Shade. "Well... it draws off pain... and creates almost entirely uncontrollable bursts of force." Janice pulled her hood lower. "T's how my mom and dad died."
