    "Well, ah..." Ivian watched a group of servants flock to the scene. "Seems that you held the fort rather proficiently. Well done, I suppose."

    "You were just what?"

    "Come on!" Katie giggled, pulling Arabella along towards the ballroom. "They have lots of tasty stuff there! Like apple juice!" @Vapor

    "I think that Lloyd would get annoyed if we were looking for him instead of doing what we're doing right now: tryna fight the Qhoral Queen." Janice smiled. "So that's what we're doing. Actually, I was just going to find Cadenza so we could practice fighting. I'm... not really good at it, if you can imagine."

    "There's... nothing we can do. We don't know where he is."

    "What in mal was that?" Ivian asked.

    "Cadenza!" Janice called, waving both her arms. "Torao's here!"

    Standing up on tiptoe, she placed a kiss on his cheek. "You are too." Wendy replied, stepping back down, then left to do her job. "See you later, Nico."

    Wendy blushed. "Aw, Nico..."

    "I think that it'd be nice if you didn't become super drunk." Wendy said, straightening her apron. "You're funner to talk to when you're sensible, I imagine."

    "Well, I have a job to do, believe it or not." Wendy smiled. "But you can bring me a drink whenever. Don't make it too strong, though." I am technically still a minor.

    "Yeah." Wendy smiled. "It really was."

    Wendy shrugged. "I don't know. I was just thinking... one of my friends was... kind of like you. In a sense that she was supposed to be someone else's... possession."

    "I'm from..." Wendy hesitated. "Well, I was born and raised in a small mining village to the east. My parents sent me to a boarding school in Reverick, where I met some... friends. They were part of a sort of wilderness enthusiast group, so I joined them for awhile before coming here."

    "A--almost everyone." Janice pulled out of Torao's hug. "We don't know where Lloyd is."

    "Well I guess it might have something to do with where I come from."

    "Does he?" Then why doesn't he know about Allivia?

    "I mean, I get that he knows you. But he knows..." me?

    "The king does?" Wendy asked, confused. A flurry of emotion ran through her body as Nicolae had pulled her in; and once again when he said what he did.
