Adilie entered the inn and searched for someone who would fit the 'rich for a relatively short time' look she imagined Basil would have from what Eryn had told her of his needs. She walk toward a man wearing far more leather than anyone else in the inn, tapped a bit of duralumin and asked him if he knew of a Basil who offered a manager or defender job. @Shard of Thought

I'm certainly not Actually, concepts more advanced than wave conservation where understood by 1800, and the technology needed to understand them had been available for centuries. Navani is magically creating a sound wave with a precision we couldn't attain before 1930, but she has no reason not too know it was hypothetically possible Have YOU ever tried to make a ruby move with your voice? (not your breath, your voice) I never did but I doubt it'd move in any way noticeable without the amplifier Navani discovered in WoR, and even that don't seems easy. Their solution seems smaller and with similar difficulty keeping it working No problem, this forum is kind of made for that

Unless there's a "discovery" shard, Invention would probably the one I'm the most closely aligned although the eventual "which shard" quiz will say I'm aligned with Mercy, they always do that. If I where to chose a shard I'd probably do like @MyrmidonOfAchilles and take a kind shard like non-mad Mercy, Endowment. Or Devotion since it's kind of an impersonation of love.

Feeling dumb right now Being a good soldier is far from the same as being able to become the embodiment of the concept of War, beside it's likely the fusion of Odium and Honour don't actually make War, war is can be started for honour but it don't stay honourful (see the War of Reckoning) Cultivation don't seems much more abstract to me than War. Not only there are concept that fit Odium+Honour better, there are also shard combinations that fit War better, Dominion+Ambition for example (or arguably just Dominion) -

My interpretation is the Dawnshard used themself to be one, probably "Be" or "Exists", Adonalsium used it to make the equivalent of a Big-Bang and then separated them and used them to shape the universe, a bit like the fundamental forces did in our universe. The 4-4 division would then mean that each shard is an aspect of a dawnshard, and Unity would be one of them. Dominion, Devotion, and Honor would definitely be three of Unity's aspect, the fourth could be the Shard In Hiding Ruin, Cultivation and maybe Endowment would be aspects of Change

I think you're missing something important, Rayse (and possibly Odium) didn't heal of the damages he suffered each time he fought another Shard, or each time someone managed to break free of his influence. Him having beaten four shards makes him weaker, not stronger

That metal will definitely be called koravellium, like if Waxilium became Harmony it's metal would be the waxillium And yeah, the body of the Sibling is composed of rock, crystal and different metals, if the fabrials where made of an unknown metal we would already know it (it's still possible some is made of an allow/ettmetal like mix of koravellium and tanavastium)
