  1. By minor shard spoiler I guess you mean shardacast? Is it from the episode staring Brandon? Vessels have been shown to go against their shard's intent a few times and the splintering of Ambition happened relatively early after the shattering, probably just a few hundred years. Mercy was probably far more free to act than Harmony currently is since the latter has two Shards and doesn't fight to not be change by his Shard and Harmony can still mind-control people despite his intent being about free will All Shards are part of Adonalsium, aka God, so I doubt there will be a specific quadrant about divinity So courage to save others? It could work but I think Valour will be wider than that. Valour and Ambition also fuel changes The no violence part look a lot like what happened to Leras in SH so either Survival or all four Tsih is The Shard In Hiding. I'm the only person calling them that way Archive does seems like a better name for the fourth category than the one I gave.
  2. For vision being an hybrid it was a stupid idea, I thought visions were more different from both Renarin's use of Progression and of Illumination but S-Progression give two very different powers so I'm back as visions are a part of V-Progression For Rlain possibly having both the Voids and the Surges, Tumi pulses to War so I think he had an incomplete enlightenment that only transformed his Cultivation part to Odium and I think it's possible Glys' one was complete, if both are true then he should give different powers than Glys and we've seen Rlain have vision so I'm betting he gives both Voids and Surges.
  3. So what about visions being an hybrif of his two Voids like reverse-lashing is? I think Voidbinders have two voids, possibly two void and two surges for Rlain, but you said a Void and a Surge so I'm trying not to brush that possibility of to quickly
  4. So, is merging realms Tension or Adhesion in your opinion? Because if it's neither or both then it's a Resonance.
  5. Imo it depends whether Navani is Surgebinding, Sciencebinding or both Surgebinding and Lifebinding. In the first case Cultivation will have no effect on her powers, in the two other I'm not sure. She definitely didn't have enough effect to prevent Melishi to obtain the blue lights part of his powers. Anyway my point still stand: Boundsmith's Resonances were so strong they had to be nerfed.
  6. It factually is.
  7. Assuming the Radiant doesn't start with his plate is a bit like assuming the Fullborn start without his metalmind. Leeching a Spren will take time, it's just to much investiture. A nuclear explosion would melt the Fullborn's metalminds, killing them. And yes, if you bring enough plutonium or uranium together and it explodes, it's very inefficient compared to our current methods but it's still how the first nuclear where done.
  8. Out of the way of a nuclear explosion? Or just of a strong explosion for that matter. Also wasn't your number of PM with Chaos 3 like, last weak?
  9. That one won't work, both A-copper and double-aluminium protect him from being Soulcast. On the other hand a big enough block of plutonium is an already detonated atomic bomb so if the Radiant can Soulcast while deep enough in Shadesmare to survive such explosion, there's that. It's a contact move that shouldn't work on the plate, the Radiant can.
  10. And for Ishi. And Navani is still at her first oath
  11. Fair point I fail to see in Valour a part of Unity that's not already in Dominion, could you explain your idea?
  12. We know the resonances of only three other orders Windrunners: reverse lashing, extremes number of squires Boundsmiths: Light creation, ability to boost radiants from other orders and ability to open rusting Perpendicularities Lightweavers: Literal photographic memory. Why is so lame compared to the others it's impossible it all of it. Yes, random inpressise prophecies+aura of impressibility is insane compared to the Lightweaver's one and is stronger than the Windrunner one but it's not an insane difference. Also the voidbinding chart places V-Truthwatchers at equality with V-Boundsmiths and their symbol is literally a miniature of the full chart so I'm not surprised they've got an above average Resonance.
  13. Then what's the problem with assuming one of Renarin's Void and his Resonance (eg. the fusion of his two Voids) give future sight?
  14. Oh, yeah that makes sense. Also El sacrificing his carapace for power is probably not something recent (and since he was Vyre he had probably sacrificed his emotion too). And the Fused sacrifice their sanity to in exchange for immortality (and probably sacrificed their original bodies). If everything in Voidbinding is about seeing the future, then it's no longer a Void it's a side effect of every Voids
  15. The surge clockwise from Boundsmiths is Adhesion, it's on their right. The surge clockwise from Truthwatchers is Illumination, it's on their left. If we assume he's using S-Regrowth yes, not if we assume boths are voids, because in that case the Resonance would be Voidbinding too That contradict your assertion in the OP that Future-sight is a confirmed Void. If we trust Kadash of course. Also, flahsblack to earlier Malatium was not a very good word to describe what actually happened (a perfected version of themself was visible) but it's still a temporal effect. As a punishment I think it was "The Nine" The inverse of Life before Death? You mean something like: @Bzhydack does indeed seems to be on to something. And we have that one And what did Glys ask Renarin to do? "Take my sorrow"
  16. The counter-clockwise Void/Surge of Truthwatchers is Progression so that seems to to contradict what you said earlier (Truthwatchers are on the bottom of the chart so the counter-clockwise one is on the right). My interpretation of Renarin's vision is it's his Resonance, it's too different from both his Progression and Illumination to be anything else. It wouldn't be the first time it happen, Kaladin's ease with the spear is implied to be part of his resonance and the first lashing he ever used was the reverse lashing which was stated to be a mix of his two surges. So I would say Renarnin did Resonance->V-Progression->V-Illumination, counter-clockwise first. It's also possible he did Resonance->S-Progression->V-Illumination, counter-clockwise Surge, if it's the case he'll probably get V-Progression and S-Illumination at some point which would mean it's indeed clockwise first for the Voids.
  17. I understand the idea, but I feel like "don't change" cannot be linked it an order of God telling to thing to change, it'd be like having Death as an aspect of Survival Yes, the unity brought by Odium will only last as long as the hate burn (as was seen at the shattered plains), but the other have similar issue, for example the unity brought a conqueror generally only last until his death. Understandable Self-survival is also only tangential too Mercy, honestly I put Tsih there because I believe it's intent will be very similar to Prudence, as this WoB implies. Also, depending of what Brandon meant by Wisdom it can be very close to Prudence.
  18. Before RoW came, @Kinolee made this theory trying make group of four Shards tied to the same Dawnshard, I didn't see a new version after the revelations of RoW so I'm making one First, I'd like to start with this WoB From the difference in shape of the mural compared to the chart, it's likely the internal/external differentiation won't be present. It's possible the pushing/pulling one would be absent too but it's almost certain the four quadrant division will indeed be there. Since we cannot really separate Shards in four Dawnshard if we only know one of them, I'll do the same supposition as Kinolee did and assume Unite and Survive are two Dawnshards. Brandon had talked about a shard who decided to just hide and survive, it's possible it's Invention since he's currently hiding from Harmony but I'll assume he's not. Brandon once accidentally name-drop that a Shard was called "Ingenuity" I think Brandon ended up changing its name to Invention and I won't try to find it a Dawnshard. For the rest of this theory, I will call the Shards linked to a Dawnshard its "aspects" and I'll call the Shard in Hiding Tsih. Change Ruin: destruction, change toward maximal entropy. Cultivation: small nudge to the world so it become how you want it to be. Whimsy: changes for the sake of changing The shard we know nothing about. There could be a call to put Endowment here as "give to other so they change" but this is already included in Cultivation's small nudge. I mean, it's kind of like sowing thing in people. Unite Honour: I'm not even sure I need to argument here. I mean one the Radiants orders have unity as their endgame and prior to RoW half of use assumed Unity was either Honour+Odium or Honour+Odium+Cultivation Dominion, sometime called Conquest: Unite under one's rule Devotion, sometime called Love: Unite for a common cause. Odium. Yes, hate unites, it unite against someone or something, but it still unites. Another reason I put it here is the Shards Odium killed, you have Ambition -that even Endowment considered a problem while she sees neither the embodiment of hatred nor the embodiment of conquest as problems- and three aspects of Unity; which makes me believe he was specifically going after aspect of Unity, probably because it's easier too fuse two aspects of the same Dawnshard and he's himself an aspect of Unity. Survive Preservation: Kind of goes without saying. Mercy: letting the other live Autonomy: ability to survive on your own Tsih Something in the line of "Leave a Mark" Ambition: The will to leave a mark on the world Invention: Leave a mark on knowledge/technology Endowment: Leave a mark on other. I kind of see Endowment as that old woman who give a legendary weapon to the hero so they can beat the big bad, nobody will know about her but in way it's because of her the world is safe Valour: This one is a bit trickier, I feel like she belong here but I don't find a way to explaining it in a way that wouldn't suit Ambition better. So. What do you think of this classification? Do you have a better name for the fourth Dawnshard?
  19. Honour and Dominion are probably more aspects of Unite than of Change, along with Devotion and Odium. Personally I would say 1: Destroy. Ruin 2: Change Others. Endowment 3: Change the World. Cultivation 4: Change for the sake of changing : Er... are RoW spoilers allowed in a spoiler box here? I think they're not
  20. This time it's mine which was terrible, it was sorrow and not pain. My point still stand though. Also, I can't find a WoB asking Brandon if Glys was a mistspren, Glys was self-aware before his enlightenment so he probably is but his appearance seems more different from a regular mistsprens than other enlightenmented spren from their original so it could be worth asking.
  21. Oh. I still think Tumi will be at least slightly different than Glys, right before Jasnah decide not to kill Renarin, Glys asked him to "take his pain" which implies he hurt, a lot. Sja-anat see enlightened sprens as her children so it's unlikely she'll make other that live in pain; not to mention it not doing so would make convincing mistsprens much harder.
  22. Everything is made of investiture. They could have their mind or their bodies consumed instead, or all three.
  23. She's not the only Edgedancer, if she discovered Growth with just her first oath other will have to. But since we've not seen them use it I guess they're no more efficient than just the stormlight + music thing and we have no reason to say Renarin don't have it. Innate investiture is not the same thing as Soul, and all Nathians have less innate investiture than normal people, it's just than most also have a lot of gaseous investiture on them. If a Breaths is a soul then Stormlight is also a made of soul and nicrosilminds contain souls.
  24. Lift knows about Growth, I'm pretty sure she was using it before she tried using regrowth and she once asked Windle whether eating plants she grow would give her more or less light than it uses, his answer was "normally yes but with you everything is weird". She probably don't know all about Growth since she never tried to make herself more buff like the Altered Ones. She was. Breaths a gaseous investiture not souls.
