  1. You get the point. The strawberries were completely obliterated in every conceivable way.
  2. Wait. People pronounce Adolin as Ah-dolin? Heresy.
  3. Here's another thing I'm predicting for book 5: The Lopen's death. He's going to die in an interlude, either failing to say his fourth ideal or finally getting that perfectly timed ideal just in time to go out in a blaze of glory.
  4. The reason he was so overprotective was because he couldn't forgive himself for failure. Now that he can do that, he'll be less overprotective.
  5. The only problem that Kaladin has left that requires an ideal is not protecting himself; he's doing that already. It's not accepting that there are people who can protect themselves, that was part of his 4th oath. It's not about letting other people protect him; he has no problem with that in Oathbringer, and he's never really had a problem with it. The reason Kaladin has been so self-destructive with his behavior is because he feared failing to protect people. He's let go of that guilt now, so he won't have problem anymore. Kaladin's only remaining issue that needs to be addressed by an ideal is how to protect. in tWoK, Kaladin's father insisted that you cannot kill to protect. Kaladin killed parshendi to save Dalinar, and realized that he didn't know if killing parshendi was the right thing to do. In WoR, Kaladin realized that killing Elhokar was the wrong way to protect. In OB, Kaladin was finally forced to face his greatest problem: how is it right to kill people if they don't deserve to die. He sees the parshmen that he protected and can't kill them. in RoW, Kaladin tries to find a different way to protect. He becomes a surgeon, and tries to protect without killing. But he can't. Urithiru is invaded, and he has to fight to protect it. I don't think that it's a coincidence that Kaladin is going to Shinovar, the one place in all of Roshar that looks on killing as wrong, no matter what the circumstances are.
  6. 440a. If the villian attempts the opposite, keeping you from killing them via blackmail or threats, just kill them. There's like a 50% chance they're not lying, but there's a 100% chance that not killing them will result in a worse outcome.
  7. I have over a stack of blocks, and I want a channeling trident to make money off of wither skeleton skulls.
  8. I just bid 256 diamonds on a trident.
  9. This is assuming that coating a thunderclast in aluminum wouldn't kill it or something. coating plate in aluminum would hurt it, so I don't know if thunderclasts would be any better.
  10. This is true. Despite my best intentions, I do hate Moash. I feel sorry for him, but I also hate him. TPBM has no hair on their head. (besides eyebrows)
  11. Here's my opinion: Every human is about to have the absolute worst ten days of their lives. So far the war has just been a series of mostly normal battles, albeit with the introduction of Surgebinders and thunderclast. We haven't seen the Midnight Mother since OB, and as far as we know she can create endless armies of eldritch abominations. Kaladin, one of the strongest fighters in the entire coalition, struggled to beat a Yelignar-powered Amaram with almost no knowledge of the surges and about 5 minutes of practice controlling his powers, while he was still going through the transformation. The Windrunners are heavily outnumbered, Jah Keved has just turned to the enemy, the KR have no real way to use Anti-light without Raysium, and one of the leaders among their Radiants just started a war with one of the most powerful secret society in the entire Cosmere. of the two Bondsmiths, one barely gained her powers, and the other is going to be preoccupied with the contest of champions. Kaladin and Szeth, the two best fighters of the Knights, have been deployed on a mission to a place about as far away from the battlefield as possible, on a mission to help an insane herald with the power to destroy planets, who may or may not be not just insane but also evil. TLDR, I'm expecting a lot of Bridge four and KR interludes that include a lot of dying, and Kaladin's PTSD clinic is going to be very, very busy.
  12. When you hear that a person is named "Wendell" but you think that his name is spelled "Wyndle".
  13. Actually, Zahel only says that they slowly become their intent. The distinction being that their intent is not limited to the shard whose investiture keeps them alive.
  14. And then there was the record of -8.5 quadraseptoctillion millennia.
  15. The average time of the contestants was -0.5764 seconds
  16. Which was good, because Art Painter wanted to train for the next breadmunk olypmics.
  17. Returned as Artimeus the vengeful, Art Painter set out to take revenge on the fool who had dared to change his birth certificate.
