  1. I agree with frustration. Nightblood would eat those breaths in an instant if you stabbed someone with him. Though if you were just wielding Nightblood, he would take a while to eat 100k breaths.
  2. Interesting. Well, we don't know how fast it drains breaths, so it might be infeasible to drain 100k+ breaths. Of course, compounded nicrosil+duraluminum should negate that for a fullborn, but I wonder how much of a hard counter chromium mistings will be to awakeners.
  3. No problem.
  4. I think that ascending is technically just getting enough investiture, which could maybe be achieved via nicrosil compounding. Big maybe on that one.
  5. The Ghanderflaffle empire morphed into a cult dedicated to the greatest rock and roll star of all time:
  6. Which resulted in the Ghanderflaffle empire glitching back to rock bottom.
  7. Unfortunately, this time, the Ghanderflaffle empire got to the top, then kept going.
  8. Nightblood would do exactly what he always does. He would eat Ruin's mists, and kill Ruin's vessel if his wielder stabbed him.
  9. Nameless hurriedly caught the moon on fire to distract Ene.
  10. I don't think that Radiant resonances are quite so clear-cut as one extra power. Lightweavers, for example, have incredible memory abilities, but are also far better at using illusions than we've seen the Truthwatchers be, and commonly use illusions (lightweaving) to change people or things (soulcasting). That said, I think the Elsecaller's resonance is pretty obvious. A far closer relationship to the cognitive realm, resulting in them being much more naturally talented in skills such as soulcasting.
  11. I like the look of that fork. Got the looks of a leader about it, that it does. That's a fork you can trust.
  12. It was quite easy, surprisingly. You see, humans, for some reason, (along with almost all other life on earth) need air to live, Silly really, but it can't be helped. Earth, of course, was not pleased with this outcome, and sued Air on the grounds that Air took a vacation about 20 seconds before 20-50% of all life on earth died a painful death.
  13. Earth was rather upset about this change, and lobbied a motion in the courts that ensured Air would only be able to take vacation time during apocalypses.
  14. Unfortunately, those screams could not be heard in space.
  15. Fortunately, when he got to space, he stopped burning.
  16. Speakers? Let's take this up a notch. How about lightweavers blasting the anti-rhythm of Odium at 200 decibels?
  17. I think Jasnah's perfect feel stems from two main sources. First, that we don't get many Jasnah viewpoints, and second, that we see Jasnah (I'm assuming this here) her biggest conflict in life is already past. Almost every time we see Jasnah, we see her from other's viewpoints. And because of her reputation and force of will, everyone sees Jasnah as perfect. And this perfection doesn't feel earned, because we haven't seen Jasnah earn it. If Jasnah had been with Shallan through WoR, we might have seen more of her conflict, as her time with Shallan on the ship to the shattered plains is one of the only times we see Jasnah's mask crack. If Jasnah hadn't been separated from Shallan, we might have seen her struggle, but as it is we skipped over Jasnah's entire shadesmar arc, which I'm sure wasn't any easier than Shallan's trip to the shattered plains. The result of this is a character that seems too perfect. We don't see Jasnah earn her "perfection" like we see Kaladin earn his place as leader of bridge four or Dalinar his position as a trusted bondsmith. What's more, we rarely get to see Jasnah being human. Imagine if we heard about Kaladin Stormblessed, then saw him solely through the eyes of the members of bridge four who aren't close to him. No backstory, just an awesome hero who shows up out of nowhere and saves everyone. I think Jasnah will be a much better character once she gets some focus, but we're probably not going to get that until the back half.
  18. I doubt it. Putting heralds into a gemstone via a raysium knife would eventually kill them. Even assuming you could suck out someone's soul with a Rasium knife, Which may be impossible, as Radiants have been stabbed with Raysium knives before, and none of them have had their souls sucked out, normal human souls cannot survive outside of their body.
  19. Nameless growled at Szeth and pulled out a hammer and stake.
  20. So Nameless cracked out the flamethrower.
  21. Fortunately, Nameless didn't get that reference, so he had no problem getting a mob together to tie Szeth to a stake.
  22. Actually, heralds cannot use the power efficiently either. They just used to have a direct infinite stormlight supply from Honor, so they didn't need efficiency. They're almost certainly using soulcasting. They don't seem like the type to try and find a better way to make something that they can already make through magic. Yes, but Szeth was also a particularly strong warrior. A dustbringer seems a lot more likely to rampage, considering they seem to dislike being controlled by Dalinar, and at least one of them was willing to go over to Odium. Moash flew into the sky, that doesn't require you to use any skills other than single lashing up, then single lashing down to hover. Radiants are different from the fused, but the most important people are guarded by radiants, or are able to defend themselves. Also soldiers have to be trained to fight skybreakers. It gives the power of a 5th ideal radiant. Of course using the honorblade would be easy. Using it as skillfully as even a third ideal radiant? that's a lot harder. Or you could give them to people like Adolin, who don't have a spren bond, to use as a radiant. Of course, the bondsmith blade would be way too dangerous for that.
  23. Nameless was disturbed by Szeth's heart-eating obsession, but he decided to be perfectly rational and... BURN THE WITCH.
