    "Ah, yes. I will allow you to swear an oath to me." The man who'd caught Cricket was wearing a grey cloak that hid his face, and a shining sword was in his hand. "What's the situation here?"

    "What, spot on? Or completely wrong? Perhaps you evil goal is simply to never speak again. You seem to dislike doing so." Malevolence turned to the hunter. "This class is useful, although you should stay away from Ruia. Her powers spread easily, and I would prefer you to remain uncontaminated by them." An arm caught Cricket before he hit the ground. "Careful, that beast looks dangerous."

    "I could never hope to understand your primitive minds." Malevolence said arrogantly. "I could guess. Perhaps you wish to gain prestige in the Machination, and eventually take over the organization?" As an aside, he pressed a few buttons, sending a message to the one-time servant of Malan who'd offered to swear fealty to him. I am available to accept your allegiance now. @TwinStorm

    "Excellent." Balitan waited until Rebus was gone, then pulled the mysterious object from his lab coat. He touched the Prismite again, creating some highly specialized equipment and scanners. Then he began running tests. Now that he finally had Primsite, it was time to see exactly what this mysterious thing was. "Most interesting." Malevolence's eyes moved across his classmates. "Perhaps we could have a better icebreaker. What are your evil goals?"

    "Well I'm afraid there's very little literature on the fundamental metals. Mostly just stories from ages past." Balitan examined the Prismite closely. "I need to run some tests, if you wouldn't mind leaving me alone. Malevolence stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Something about me? Very well. My hair isn't naturally white. I just thought it looked cool with violet eyes."

    Balitan shrugged, not a hint of malevolence in his expression. "Considering your nature, I thought you would know what Prismite can do. I suppose that's why you're researching the essences though." He put his spectacles back on and examined the phone-thing he'd created. "It is commonly known in scholarly circles that Prismite is the source of all Narration. Using Prismite, or Narrativium as it is known outside of scholarly circles, even a normal man like myself can Narrate."

    "The... oh dear, you can't remember him either? This is a mess. You don't remember the Knight? The super powerful Enuller who was involved in the almost-successful attempt to kill the Witherlord?" The Dreamsmith cocked his head, glancing around the room. "Oh, I appear to be in the wrong place. Nice meeting you Tull, good luck on your quest!" He promptly vanished. @SpiritOfWrath The Dreamsmith reappeared in Onyx's castle. "Are you there Onyx?"

    Light gathered around Balitan's hand and he removed his spectacles as his eyes took on an iridescent glow. "Fascinating." The light projected from his hand, forming into a small rectangular device that looked not unlike a smartphone. "The stories are true. It really does grant the power of creation." He pulled his hand back, the glow fading from his violet eyes. With his glasses off, he looked strikingly similar to another genius scientist Rebus had met before. "Incredible. Simply incredible." "The Dreamsmith." The Dreamsmith took a cookie and bit it in half, mechanical jaw making a whirring noise. "You may have heard of me, or you may not have heard of me. Hard to say. You are Tull, yes?"

    Balitan wrote down some notes on a clipboard, then set aside his tweezers and grabbed hold of the crystal with his bare hand. Both the crystal and Balitan began glowing softly. I know some. -- The Dreamsmith walked into the room with Onyx and Tull. "Hello! The trial seems to be stalled, so I figured I would come visit you. I brought snacks this time!" He held up a plate full of cookies. @xinoehp512 @SpiritOfWrath

    Subversion frowned, eyes moving as if reading something from the air. "Does no one in your organization remember them? What about the Knight? Didn't he have a history with Grace?" "Excellent!" Balitan pulled out some tweezers and began poking at the crystal. "Are these other students ever going to arrive?"

    “I would like to begin research in Prismite, if you have some available.”

    "Excellent." Balitan vanishes back to his current office, where he writes out a note to (hopefully) assuage fears that he has been kidnapped, pulls out several files of notes and places them in a bag, and breaks a hole in the floor, pulling out the locked safe he'd installed there, opens it, takes out a key, then uses that key along with a forty-seven digit long passcode to summon an object from the highly secure alternate dimension it had been secured in. He places this object in his lab coat pocket, then teleports back to Rebus. "All ready. Did you say you had samples of the fundamental substances?" Malevolence merely shakes his head. "When do these lessons begin?" Malevolence queried.

    "I have done all that I can to prepare for my plans." Malevolence said confidently. "All that remains is to wait for the moment of opportunity." "I see. I see. We all have our reasons, don't we?" Something in Balitan's tone seemed disbelieving, but he continued on undeterred. "I will need to retrieve my notes in order to begin research. You said you would give me a teleportation beacon?" "I do know your character, Narrator." Malevolence smiled self confidently. "Weak."

    Balitan nods. "Thank you. There is just... one more thing." He hesitates, looking nervous. "Why do you want to research the fundamental elements?" -- Malevolence appeared, looking slightly frazzled. "Master Ruia, I heard you were holding lessons on evil?" @Halcyon The Only

    "I see." Balitan nodded approvingly at the laboratory equipment. Well he's clearly crazy. But this lab is top-notch, and if he has samples of the fundamental substances... "I'll work with you. Do I get an office somewhere?" Him watched her go, then prepared his own multiversal pressure washer wand and vanished to begin cleaning TLT.

    Balitan examined the laboratory with interest. He was a short man, with black hair and vibrant violet eyes. He wore a grey lab coat, and wore a pair of spectacles on his face. "I would not call myself an expert on fundamental substances. I have an interest in the subject, but have thus far struggled with procuring them in sufficient quantities for study." He adjusted his spectacles. "Did you say you were a scientist? You worked with me in another reality?"

    The Scourer nodded solemnly. “Very well.” He pulled forth an ancient scroll. “This is the scroll of Clyaneng. It teaches the ways of wiping free the grime that accumulates in all universes, the grime caused by life.” He unrolled the scroll of Clyaneng with utmost care, and read the opening sentences. “The first step is the flood of cleansing waters.” He handed Ruia a wand made from bright grey metal, with a tip surrounded in gold. “This is the wand of Prishor. Take it, and begin the cleansing.” He held up a finger warningly. “But take care. That wand is dangerous. It could drown you as easily as it cleans the filth from this universe.” Moni sighed. “Fine.” She shoved Endings back into its sheath and held up her hands. Balitan appeared next to Rebus. “Hello. Are you the irresponsible fool who called me here?”

    "Are you certain?" Him's face was grim, his voice somber. "The filth has been allowed time to fester. In scouring this universe, you may be forced to do things you find... distasteful."

    "I cannot stand all the filth that has accumulated in the universe since I last cleansed it." Him the Scourer of Universes, Cleanser of the Unclean replied. "I have my work cut out for me this time."
