    Unintelligible rolled out of the way of the fire, keeping his guns trained on the so-called master of destruction. "What do you want with us? What did you do to Ruia?"

    Unintelligible considered shooting the man in the head before he could start doing evil things, but decided against it. "Who are you?" Subversion crossed her arms and scowled at the Enuller. "Be that way. So, do you have any Enuller students to practice on me yet?" "Excellent. Who's the most useful?" I think you did. Probably got buried in notifs.

    "Sure." Unintelligible turned to look at the door. "I think I'll be staying."

    Unintelligible immediately drew both of his revolvers, levelling them both at Ruia. "What is this?"

    "Have you considered the possibility that you're just crazy and there is no threat?" "Where does he live? I'll go ask him if you're so afraid." Subversion smiled. "Beats sitting around here waiting for you to find a student to test on me." "Hm." Malevolence tapped his temple in thought. "If he isn't going to leave... that does pose an issue. Wind, do you know of anyone who might be able to help me and the rabbits in finding the lost page?"

    "...Why not?" Subversion looked around. "Is he still evil or something?" Malevolence frowned. "I see. Do you think it likely that he will leave that place soon?" "No, this isn't meddling." "And what is coming?" Asked Unintelligible. "What are your goals?"

    Unintelligible looked at Rebus. "No, I didn't." "If you say so." Unintelligible made no move towards any of the drinks Ruia had offered. "Oh, that's good, that's good." Subversion nodded to herself. "So you think this is his doing? I suppose he could have had something to do with erasing those people from existence. Have you asked him about it?" "Er, yes." Malevolence looked around nervously. "I wanted to know about the book of Unwinding Thread. The rabbits want me to find them the lost page from it. Are there pages that are not lost? Do you know where the book itself is?'

    "Don't drink anything she gives us." Unintelligible rested his right hand on his revolver, glaring at Ruia.

    "Ah. Well, you picked the wrong time to do so." The rabbits began fanning out, surrounding the cloaked man. "I will of course accept your oath of fealty, but I would suggest you leave now unless you wish to be eaten by rabbits."

    Also on the point of Hoid being unable to use Nomad's method, he held the Dawnshard for much, much longer than Nomad did. So the effects on his soul are likely far more profound and extensive, as evidenced by Hoid being unable to eat meat, and surviving being turned into mist without trouble, while Nomad is threatened even by very average forms of weaponry.

    Malevolence glanced at him. "You're one of Malan's ex-hunters?" The rabbits inspected the man hungrily. Moni followed the group a few paces back, staring at the ground. Palsu made sure to stay away from both insects and underbrush. "So, where do we go from here?"

    "Darkness would make sense for him, considering he was the Witherlord." Subversion watched the Enuller out of the corner of her eye. "Or is he the Witherlord? Is he even still alive? I haven't been keeping up with events." -- Palsu peered down the end of the tunnel. "I think I see the exit!" He called. "We're almost out of the cave." @TwinStorm @Dragonheir -- Malevolence was at his base in the midst of a herd of rabbits, feeling fear more powerful than any he'd felt before. He saw in the beast's dark eyes something he did not understand. Hunger was a simple thing, easy to understand and control. But beyond the endless hunger, buried so deep that he suspected the rabbits themselves were not fully aware of it, there was just... emptiness. He couldn't explain it, but it was perhaps the most unnerving thing he'd ever seen. Of course, the fact that they were discussing whether or not to eat him had something to do with his fear as well. He does not know where the paper is! What good is a reader that cannot find the paper? A rabbit with streaks of grey through its fur seemed to be the most outspoken of Malevolence's critics. could not decide whether it did not trust him or was simply more ravenous than the rest of the herd. A rabbit all of black answered the grey-streaked rabbit sharply. We need this reader. He will find the paper. Malevolence thought that it was best he intervene in this conversation before it went any further down an unfortunate path. "I can find the paper." He said smoothly. "The lost page of the book of Unwinding Thread? I can find it." He held up a finger, glad he was able to keep his voice from wavering before the unblinking stares of the rabbits. "But first, I need information. you said this was the lost page of the book of Unwinding Thread. Does that mean there are other pages not lost? Is most of the book found?" The rabbits stared at him. Then they turned to one another and began speaking in their rabbity language. Malevolence sweated nervously, hoping he'd be able to teleport away in time when they attacked, when the grey-streaked rabbit finally spoke to him. We will take you to the wind. The wind will answer your questions. Malevolence blinked. "The... wind?" And so it was that Malevolence found himself standing in an open field in the middle of who-knows where (besides the rabbits, obviously) surrounded by rabbits calling for the wind. Wind! Wind!     "I shouldn't need any more, but thank you." Malevolence turned to go. "And thank you for your tutelage."

    I have nothing against northerners becoming southern, they just have to admit that suthern is the correct pronunciation before I'll see them as southern. "I suppose. Do your plans require my assistance in the immediate future? I have my own business to be about at the moment."

    "Thank you." Malevolence shook his head in disgust. "They were so... pathetic. Getting them to go along with my plan was too easy really. I could have led them right into betrayal if I'd wanted." They don't get to be southern until they at least start correctly pronouncing the word southern.

    I AM I'M SOUTHERN AS EVIDENCED BY MY PROPER PRONOUNCIATION OF THE WORD 'SUTHERN' Malevolence reappeared as soon as Cricket and the rest had left, then walked over to Malan's corpse. He leaned down and placed something on the corpse, then stood up and looked at it. Malan's body now bore a post-it note with the words "The Machination sends their regards" written in sharpie. @SpiritOfWrath Was the Machination your evil organization? He teleported away, appearing next to Ruia. "I have slain Malan, as you ordered." @Halcyon The Only

    Malevolence nodded. “You’re welcome. I hope you don’t mind me saying that I dearly wish never to work with you again.” He vanished in a crackle of lightning, followed shortly by his dome.

    The lightning ceased as quickly as it had begun, revealing a massive metallic dome blotting out the sky above the clearing. Lights flickered along its surface, and a enormous cannon-like structure was at its center. Malevolence stumbled to the ground as Malan's bullet took him in the leg. "Just about, yes." He lifted his gauntlet to his face and spoke in a clear tone. "Computer, target lock on Malan and fire. Full power." The central cannon fired a beam of pure energy straight down at Malan so powerful that the air burst into flame along the laser's length. Malevolence quickly powered up his energy shield to shield him from any deflected heat, instructing his computer to launch down several more mobile shield generators from the dome to shield his allies.

    The bullet pierced Malevolence's cloak, grazing his shoulder. "Malan!" The lightning intensified, hundreds of bolts striking wildly across the clearing, now causing explosions at their impact points. "Perish beneath the might of my superiority!" In the sky above the clearing, at the epicenter of the lightning, a massive object began to take shape.

    "Apologies!" Malevolence called, the roaring boom of thunder almost drowning out his voice. "I've never tested my teleportation system on something so large!"
