    "Blast! I didn't sharpen it properly. One moment please." Shovel man sits down and begins sharpening his shovel furiously.

    "No, you shouldn't do that because it would kill me? Great, I'll do that." Shovel man spun his shovel, then attempted to behead Second with it.

    "Oh yeah? Guess I'll have to chop you into tiny pieces with my shovel instead."

    "Well, I guess I'm glad you won't be in the competition then. Considering how easily you beat me."

    "DID YOU JUST GRAB A RANDOM WOMAN FROM THE UNDERWORLD? WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?"

    "I bet me hitting you with my shovel a bunch is one of those ways."

    "No. There can only be one the brave adventurer. Now that the previous holder's died, that distinction is up for grabs."

    "Well, a lot of people started calling themselves the brave adventurer, so to avoid confusion there's a big tournament. Everyone who wants a chance at the title will fight, and whoever kills everyone else gets to keep it."

    Shovel man smacked Second in the face. "Really? No fair."

    "From her description of the afterlife, I think it's a different one from the afterlife you pull demons from."

    "Thanks. You're quite skilled yourself." The brave adventurer shrugs. "You thinking of going to the tournament?"

    "Uh, it's not going to be that easy."

    The adventurer swivels his head, shock covering his face.

    The brave adventurer dodges backwards, stumbling slightly over a rock on the ground. "Helps? I stabbed you in the leg!"

    The adventurer blocks again with his shield, countering by kicking Sleeper's leg with his knife-tipped boot.

    Shovel man backs up a step. "Hey, no fair! You're supposed to die when I do that."

    Shovel man sneaks up behind Second and attempts to smack them with his shovel.

    The brave adventurer swings his mace towards Sleeper, and a ball of lightning launches from it streaking towards Sleeper's chest. "THAT'S NOT A REASON THAT'S A BELIEF!" "I just told you one. Give me that sword, and I'll help you." "No, Moni wants to stop Darkness. She just doesn't want to kill him." I considered that, but with with the original dead now's the perfect time for someone new to claim the title.

    The brave adventurer blocks with his shield, then does a backflip. “Impressive sword you’ve got there. How’d you learn to make weapons like that?”

    “THEN GIVE ME ONE GOOD REASON WHY I’M NOT RIGHT!” Subversion shrugged. “Because it would kill him if you could actually hit him with it.” She sighed, but didn’t try to grab the Mordite blade again. “Look, I’m almost completely certain that Moni could stop that guy. And I promise I don’t want to kill you with that Blade.” There can be more than one person with the title. The brave adventurer pulls out a mace and swings it towards Sleeper’s head.

    “YES! YOU! ARE!” Subversion looked the blade over. “Eh, could be fake. I’ve never seen Luxite before. Besides, what do you really expect Luxite to do?” She made a mental note to go deal with Nowhere later. “Just walking up to Darkness and stabbing him would never work, no matter what weapon I had. He’s too powerful, and besides that the rules of Plot wouldn’t allow it.” “Here’s the plan: You give me the Mordite blade and I do whatever I want with it, then I’ll help you convince Moni to kill Darkness with her Plotblade.”
