  1. Okay, my turn 1) The people of this place have their own separate identity (besides an overarching identity encompassing other places and people groups)
  2. Alternatively, the Night of Sorrows could be a thing old of design, like the Everstorm.
  3. I have a hard time imagining the Stormlight Archives as a movie. I usually end up imagining an opening theme whenever I try to imagine its screen adaptation. Basically the Ten Heralds carrying a representation of Roshar shaped like the Shattered Plains but stacked on top of one another. On one stack, there's large idols of the Heralds being worshiped while the actual Heralds are screaming themselves hoarse. Then the nine Heralds break completely and climb over onto the representation and Taln alone carries the whole world. At the top of the world thing there's Kaladin and Bridge Four carrying a bridge with Dalinar and his men in full regalia on Ryshadium, Dalinar looking up at the Highstorm. Kaladin struggles with the weight above and Taln does the same below.
  4. We know that Warbreaker is set between the Mistborn era 1 and Stormlight Archives. Since the Catacendre, it's been 341 years when we go to Mistborn era 2. So the difference is less than 300 years. Warbreaker is closer to Way of Kings, so a century to a few decades in difference at most.
  5. Huh, a Singularity is a good way of thinking about it. If time and space are one in the Spiritual Realm yet it allows discrete identities to exist, it just doesn't sit right with me. Hence this theory. It also fits with my seeing Connection as more of a property of the Spiritual Realm than a separate aspect. If time and distance are irrelevant then everything is one in the Spiritual. As for the other Spiritual aspects from the Feruchemical table: Investiture is what the two non-mundane Realms are made of and Fortune is mathematical, the effect of a Spiritually perfect self thinking and seeing all possible Connections. It allows for sDNA to allow delineate an individual's Investiture. It also fits with the idea of Resonances, as overlapping ripples or frequencies.
  6. We don't know whether it was in fact Voidlight, after all it could just as easily have been Autonomy's Investiture fuelling the Forms of Power.
  7. How does the Spiritual Realm store sDNA or the Spiritweb? I have a theory regarding that which also connects to bronze Allomancy and the Rhythms: ripples. Matter, energy and Investiture are the trifecta constituents of the Cosmere. We know that it shares some of its characteristics with its mundane counterparts, like states of matter: solid, liquid and gas and also plasma (the Dor) so it can be assumed that it may also ripple or vibrate like matter and energy, going by the Quantum Field Theory. These rippling may cause Investiture to vibrate at certain frequencies which may be what bronze Allomancy and the Singers can hear to a certain degree. These ripple patterns might be how data is recorded in the Spiritual Realm to form Spiritwebs. This also meshes with the fact that a person's Spiritual aspect lingers on in the Spiritual Realm after their death for a while, till the ripple pattern fizzles out. Thoughts?
  8. Uh... if the idea is that the Spiritweb is essentially frozen in time (but can be overwritten via Investiture) then how can it ripple? We don't really know the nature of the Spiritweb or any other Spiritual aspects well enough to know whether it would have any rippling effect or some such related property. If it can ripple and I believe that it can and that is, in fact, how it stores data. It would mesh well with bronze Allomancy and the Rhythms. Basically I believe that the ripple pattern is the Spiritweb, that also jives the idea that Spiritwebs linger on after death for a while.
  9. I have to say I love this idea. I never did have any idea regarding how Autonomy could've helped Odium against Honor. This fits nicely with Autonomy's Intent seeing humans as the oppressive force and the resulting Slaveform as well. It could also be a great introduction to Autonomy and her Avatars.
  10. Horneater Peaks?
  11. Verily they call you The traveller, for your travelling loyalty! I have more honor than you! You had everything you could've ever wanted in Elantris! You could've left Sel without aid from the Ire! And yet! This is what you choose? This is where you stand? I am disappointed. The One Without Honor
  12. Hello there! Welcome to the Shard!

  13. I just found him annoying. Hope the next newspaper clipping contains another Nicki Sauvage blurb instead of Allomancer Jak
  14. Well, you do the next one too since no one got it right
  15. Fine as long as it's not a protracted love triangle
  16. Rusting clever, that was!
  17. I was being meta there, rather than refer specifically to SA but even so every other Cosmere book has a main pairing. Kaladin being a main character means there could be an entire subplot built around this hypocritical romance. I'm tired of it.
  18. Interesting name, welcome to the Shard!

  19. WoK is the foundation on which they stand. As individual books, WoK just had more impact.
  20. I took the whole Tarah's leaving, and closure with Laral and Shallan as indication that this chapter of Kaladin's life is closed for now. I don't think he'll have any significant romantic interests and I'm getting tired of every main character needing to get paired off anyway.
