  1. Sorry for my disappearance, and rather lackluster reentry, I'm still catching up with these posts, but there is something I wanted to bring up, from AoL This means that a Fullborn would have to be careful with compounding on its own, and would have to be continously tapping any attribute they compounded regularly, which severely hampers their ability to outlast a Radiant.
  2. So, the main thing you need to understand is the ten surges Adhesion Gravitation Division Abrasion Progression Illumination Transformation Transportation Cohesion Tension Each of these has uses, Gravitation changes the strength and direction of gravity, Illumination affects light, sound and other waveforms, Transformation is soulcasting ect. Each order of Radiants gets access to two surges: Adhesion+Gravitation, Gravitation+Division, Division+Abrasion and so on. I recommend this article as it does a really nice job of explaining it, though I am more than happy to give more information https://coppermind.net/wiki/Surgebinding
  3. I would like to make the same apology. Back to the main topic, would anyone have problems with using or studying Hemalurgy on animals?
  4. I suppose that's true. I've been looking at Walking Wake more, and I'm more convinced that it will invalidate Sun teams. With 244 Spa, and 252 speed, Timid nature, life orb, Hydro steam, Draco meteor, Flamethrower, and Agility, you are pretty much uncounterable. If you get a turn to set up you outspeed just about everything, and with the protosynthesis boost you even exceed Chloryphil choice scarfers. You can kill anything other than dedicated walls in one to two hits, and nothing can outspeed to kill you. Garganacl is the only thing I can find that a sun team could use for actual counterplay, while rain teams have Azumeril.
  5. What? Burning metal inside bendalloy doesn't make it more powerful, but it burns faster. F-Chromium will help, but that again requires him to draw more attributes, Tin wouldn't help, unless he's watching his feet the whole time, which makes it really hard to find your target. Where is he getting all of these metals from? He can't draw the amount of attributes you want for this much time, and compound them, and not run out of metals. At the rate you are having him draw speed he'd run out(based on Marasi) in under a minute, same with zinc. If they pierced his flesh they would be burned away, and if they don't they can be pulled by lashings.
  6. Here And the fact that Wax never pushes on metal outside of bubbles. I feel like there was another one.
  7. For a short time, not forever.
  8. Nope This place is a seat of government There have been multiple attacks on the Monarch here This place is a building A Shard has been here This place is on Roshar
  9. And you prove that the Hemalurgic spikes is not just an earring, how?
  10. Doesn't matter, it's still rotation Yeah, but they will react to a change in the lashings. They don't burn faster becuase they have more power, they burn faster because of the temporal shift that steel causes. He would have to be constantly burning, or otherwise he'd rip his leg off before he even knows that he has the full lashing applied to him No matter how fast he thinks he needs the information. With the amount of speed, and health you are having him draw on, not to mention the bendalloy there is no way he outlasts the Radiant @alder24 isn't wrong, plate can be broken by F-pewter, though it would take a large amount, and wouldn't be as easy as he shows.
  11. Raise your arm. In order to do so you have to rotate your arm from either your elbow, or your shoulder. Why would they not be able to move? The Fullborn cannot outrun them for more than a few seconds, they would have to devote all of their metalminds to steel in order to do that. And While they can be leeched, as this WoB shows Along with Chromium burning quickly already, that at the speeds you want they would only be able to do that a few times. After that you have to start ripping your own feet off. From there the Windrunner can keep them in a vacuum, and along with healing their legs it will further drain their gold, and their pewter. And once they trip the Windspren can apply full lashings to their entire body, sticking it to the ground. Thus immobilized, the Fullborn can then be run through with a Shardblade and killed. The one reliable way to kill a fullborn: Don't let them do anything.
  12. The tip of a rotating object moves faster than the base Lack of pressure as well. That's part of why divers have to be careful about rising too quickly. The Windspren who made the tunnel can though They can make them though
  13. Another thing I though of is using Windspren to trap fullborn in full lashings while running to snap their feet off, and ruining their attack. True they can leech them, but leeching takes time, and Chromium burns quickly, so it would be an effective strategy. EDIT: since thy are tapping so much speed any metals they were burning would be quickly used up
  14. Behind her hand, not her, which significantly reduces the speed she was going at. that would move them into the vacuum, which would probably cause them to pass out for a second, gold or no gold. How? Poland: 2.5 guns per 100 people USA: 120.5 guns per 100 people.
  15. The amount of atrbute you get from compounding is equal to the amount of power you would have gotten via allomantically burning the metal. It would require you to burn literally a planet worth of metal to get that much power. Diminishing returns also limits how fast they can go, even if they removed air friction. And Windrunners can create vacuums. I don't recall him ever saying that, though that doesn't mean it isn't true. We have practice, you had to be this fast for Scadrial v. Roshar post RoW Where did you get mach 7 from? Looking at it I don't see an argument for anything more than mach 1. Kaladin formed a spear that was 12 feet long, and in the KoW sample chapters Syl was able to get fifteen feet tall. And Spren can change shape without imput, or even refuse to change, Wyndle refusing to form a cutting edge, and Syl forming weapons in Kaladin's hand during RoW, despite him not really knowing what he wanted. Kaladin was able to heal his spine being severed in the brief moment Lezian pulled his knife out, and healing gets more efficent the higher oath you get. Windspren move ahead of them and move it before they get there, just like how they can keep a bubble of pressurized wir around them in space. When has anyone gone faster than mach 1? Is this, an act of war?
  16. That's the stone itself, not a spren.
  17. You forget about diminishing returns, Fullborn lack the power to burn worlds, it is just not something they can do.
  18. That ending was retconned, so while yes, they could totally survive that, I wouldn't use it as evidence. No, they really can't, the only thing confirmed to have enough power to pull on plate is the Well of Ascention Something I was think of is that if a Fullborn did have their spine severed, they would have to be tapping gold at that instant, otherwise they wouldn't be able to heal, so they have to be constantly dipping into their gold reserves, even outside of a vacuum. And as a pure thought experiment, at what pressure would air become solid at room temperature?
  19. Time bubbles would make it harder to target an individual, which emotional allomancy already has trouble with, and given their natural investiture, that might make it even worse than just using it regularly.
  20. Miles could also dedicate all of his bracers strictly to gold, not all sixteen To cover fifteen feet? Shallan would have been fine if it hadn't been lodged in her brain. Miles only surived the shotgun blast becuase it went straight through his skull. Moved aside 10 lashings and the Windrunner reaches the speed of sound in five seconds. USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! See you then man
  21. It helps you reposition quickly, allowing you to always attack from behind, and avoid attacks but you are right it does have limits, namely not allowing you to use steel outside of it, so you have to be on the ground.
  22. No he didn't, he would have run out eventually. At the speed they are moving towards the Fullborn they can't both dodge and not give them the ability to react, at least not consistently, it would drain too much speed. Source? It's moved ahead of them by windspren, who create a vacuum tunnel far enough ahead of them that they don't have to worry about it. When being burnt, but that will only provide so much, and certainly not enough to do some of the tings you are suggesting. Muhahaha, my greatest weapon, timezones! We won't get that much done. I've been thinking about that too. Only I think that this one is closer than Windrunner vs. Mistborn, and doesn't require ambushes, even if a Windrunner win is highly unlikely.
  23. There's something about them changing appearance after they eat the fruit of that one tree somewhere. Don't remember where at the moment though.
  24. I've always operated under the assumption there was always one and they migrated They are super cool. I'm not sure how I feel about Hydrosteam, I feel it will probably completely invalidate sun as a playstyle, as rain teams want Walking Wake already, so they can slot it on, and then imediately counter any sun team they come up against. It has protosynthesys so even Chloryphil sweepers will have a hard time dealing with it.
  25. I agree let's not. But, I think it's probably time to allow some more stuff, but let's keep it controlled and do 2 things at a time. So, starting now let's allow Squires and Savantism. Bendalloy Savantism here really changes just about everything, as it makes the Mistborn one of the fastest things we have ever seen. This I think drops Edgedancers out of the running. Squires are a huge help, as numbers are one of the most important assets you can have, I think they quite firmly establish Windrunners as being above the Mistborn here, while giving Dustbringers, Stonewards and Skybreakers the help they need to maintain their positions. Lightweavers on the other hand I feel probably drop bellow the Mistborn regardless of their squires.
