The cost of production is taken out of profit, but they also are not spending any money, unless you are saying that they should be 'payed' and their 'pay' covers their food, basic necesities and taxes but nothing more, and thus are left in an infinate zero sum gain of wroking. someone is losing money. If no one buys your stuff, but you have to pay to make it you are losing money. I mean, could work, maybe?

Were are they getting the money if people aren't losing it? I don't think you understand just how huge that number is, The largest specified number or broams mentioned in text is when Sadeas tells Dalinar he couldn't buy the bridgemen if he payed 1,000 broams a head. These are two of argueably the richest people in the world, if 1,000 is a large enough sum to be seen as too expensive to pay, 1,000,000 must be the anual opperating budget of entire Kingdoms. The total sum that would have to be paid is likely in the tens if not hundreds of Billions. That just isn't possible, there might not be enough gems in all of Roshar to pay that. So you might as well get something form them if you're protecting them.

I said a realistic way, they aren't going to shy away from slavery to others when they are willing to do it to themselves. let's assume that you pay them the same as Vorin slaves 1 diamond chip a day, with a static population of say 50,000 50,000*500 days*2,000 years and you end up with a ludicrus sum of FIFTY MILLION emerald Broams. That is with a small population, with slave wages the true numbers would be staggering, mind numingly large. And then you have communities of defensless people you have to protect so Conquerers don't acquire them and use them to their advantage in conquring you. These are good ideas, but the more I look at this the more I come to the conclusion that there wasn't a perfect answer, Maybe a Bondsmith could have fixed it, but there weren't any at the time.

This is going to come off wrong, but I just going to say this. What else are you going to do with them? Leave them out in the woods to starve? Feed and take care of them without them doing anything for you making them a massive drain on your countries resources. Or give them a job and have them work like everyone else. Now the way they were treated was bad, I'm going to say that, but what could you have realistically done better?

Era 2 is also like 20 years after Stormlight 5, keep that in mind next time you flex Scandrials strength, they are only slightly ahead with an aditional 20 years of development. what happens with Navani bonded to the sibling with 20 years to work? Scandrials fights look nothing like mixed arms warefare, it's not even war. You overestimate Pewters strength, weight, not strength will determin your resistance to recoil. I might be wrong but I don't think Scandrial has evidence of machine guns yet. Maybe one has ever exsited, and we don't even know how F-chromium works, it could very easily be closer to Renarin's visions than Atium. No, no no no no. assuming Scandrail gets FTL sooner than Roashar figuring out how to worldhop with spren, when by the Time of Era 2 leaving Roshar with spren has already been solved.

That's kind of like saying how much does a pound weight. Breath is the unit of measurement.
