People who worship Stick. Shallan Jasnah's detatchment, she was so good in WoK prime, but so far in the main series she's shaping up to be quite different, and I'm not sure how to feel about it.

I have immence respect for MLK, I'm not sure why you say otherwise. No, I'm not, I have an increadibe detachment to any particular character, save a few I enjoy, the rest, and even some of the ones I do, are just meatsacks to be killed whenever helps the narrative. I have no problem with you doing it, it's that the mods get mad when I respond in kind. Which is kindof annoying Moash's time as a bridgeman does not excuse him killing Jezrien, I have no problem with him killing Elhokar, that was war, I don't care, Jezrien, is what makes Moash Evil. See this is my main issue with this, if I don't agree with you, I have to agree with the people you are fighting, no, that isn't the case, I just think you are wrong. I'm not saying I don't find that disgusting, just irrelivent to whether or not Moash is evil, as stated above, I don't care bout Elhokar. Actually death because of negligence without ill intent is manslaughter.

Uhm, no, no it doesn't Would you actually like me to break it down and adress this? Or are you just mocking me, because it deffinetly seems like the latter. You say you don't mean to insult me, after writing one of the most sarcastic paragraphs I've seen in a good while? Uh huh. Can I just say I would like a couple of things to not eternally devolve into just politics? just a few? And yes this is politics, don't try to spin it another way, this isn't about dealing with inequality this is you promoting your opinions. Tell me something, what is the core of fantasy? why does it appeal to people? Escapism, pure and simple, we want out of reality, if you want to deal with the real world go read non-fiction. I have no problem discussing equality, and how people are individuals not members of groups, but not here, this is where I talk about SA and the various things going on there, if you want to discuss Alethi polotics, or Rosharan injustice, without trying to make it an allegory fro the real world then I'm more than willing to have that discussion. If you want to have a discussion about politics go somewhere else, if you want to speak about politics here, be ready for me to speak my mind back.

I'd rather just switch examples to Jezrien and call it a day, but that works.

Spoilers I'll condess this down to one answer I'm here for the purpose of the thread, which is why People hate Moash, and to a lesser exent is he evil. Everything else is off topic and I would like to move back.

Yes, he was, whether or not they accept him is irrelivent, he is bassically an army at that point, you don't need them to accept you, you can force them to. What's a fifth Dahn going to do about it?

Thaidakar is overconfident, 17th shard has them outclassed, the IRE has had centuries of a head start, etc. There is no feasable wya they are the most powerful in only three-hundred years.

A good person, a truely good person would stand for what is right, even if the whole world was against them. Ok first off Ehokar's statis on good vs evil doesn't mater, Stalin is still evil, even if he fought Hitler. Second off just because the story isn't addressing what you feel it should doesn't give you the right to say someone else's judgement of a situation is invallaid I care more about a random blade of grass than how Alethi culture is hanndled so long as it's consistent, I just want to skip to the next fight., why is your desire for the narative more important than mine? How fortunate Elhokar doesn't have that ability as they are Dalinar's guard. I would prefer he didn't, the more separation between my entertainment and reality the better, I read to get away from polotics, not dive in deeper. You are entirely correct, Moash only cared about himself there.

Why are the Bondsmiths OP and not the Windrunner's?
Frustration replied to ShardplateJoe III's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Why would them Being Hoorspren make them have the most power? The Stormfather is fused with Tanavast's cognitive shadow, and so in a sense, is Honor's vessel, or what's left of him. THe Nightwatcher and the Sibling are vastly more powerful than Honorspren, and give access to Honor's magic sstem,(though likely have at least a little bit of Cultivation's system as well.) In a way, it's like saying that Lerasium should be more powerful than the Well of Acsension becasue it's Preservation's metal.- 22 replies

So a view on Morality that isn't yours is naive? There is nothing Naive about Black and White Morality, anymore than there is about any other method of judgement, and I'm tired of the sigma around it.

all this talk of "boinking" makes me feel like I'm watching Oversimlified. I feel it's possible, but the amount of investiture required is far too much for it to ever be practicle for anyone other than shards

Wow another guest lesson by Frustration?! it's amazing. Lesson: magic system synergy and how the Metallic arts are a(n almost) perfect example. So let's say you've made a world, built it's cultures and kingdoms, but it's various magics feel disjointed and seem to connect in all the wrong ways? Well fear not young mortals for I have come to aid you in your time of Frustration. Synergy of magic is the term I'm using to define how magic systems interact, and as a walk-through we will use the metallic arts from Mistborn as an example. What tends to happen early on in drafting is that your various ideas for magics tend to grow constantly added to and shifted, but they don't work well together and it ends up becoming a chaotic mess. to solve this we have a few basic tools to help us. Similarity in use Similarity in source Similarity in power Opposites in Use Opposites in source Opposites in Power Using just one or multiple of these can greatly simplify the magics in your world both for yourself and your reader When looking at similarity in use the best example for the metallic arts is the difference between Hemalurgy and allomancy, with Hemalurgy you insert metal into your victim, with Allomancy you place the metal inside yourself. Similarity in source is even easier as we see metal consistently being the key to accessing the various powers, but used slightly differently each time Similarity in power, we will look at the links between Allomantic and Feruchemic Pewter, as well as tin from all three arts,(and find one of he flaws in the synergy of metallic arts as Iron steals strength not pewter) the similarities these metals bring in the arts helps link them together, showing that even though they are different they are still largely the same, as strength and senses hold throughout the arts with few, but noticeable differences. (for additional reference see differences between The One Power, and the True Power in WoT) Opposites in source comes from Preservation and Ruin's polar relationship, the way that the mists are repulsed by Hemalurgy, and that Atium Geodes break under allomancy lets them display there difference, but also shows them interacting with clear and definitive rules. Opposites in power requires us to look at the synergy on the arts singularly rather than the arts as a whole, the pushing/pulling storing/tapping, and spiking/spiked divide Synergy to take place, internally rather than externally. Opposites in use doesn't really come into play, as someone doesn't turn powers back into metals(though that would have been an awesome addition I must say) but that's fine, only one method is really needed, the others just make it more complete. Now if you find the magic feels to similar, remember that it says Similarity, not sameness feel free to make tweaks to suit the story you are writing. Synergy of magic done. -
Like the WoB @mathiau posted said, it was a protracted even like Preservation's and we know from SH and WoB that that had taken thousands of years.

Several, though the books are not on me, Stormfather mentioned several times in OB that Honor began acting irrational, and for an entire generation of Radiants was unable to help them deal with the truth about human immigration, one of the gems talk about Honor changing, The Sibling withdrawing before the recreance, etc.
