Mistborn V.S. 3rd Ideal Lightweaver
Frustration replied to Wits instant noodles's topic in Cosmere Discussion
But perception of volume can. Yeah that's right, my bad. 1. Because Wax would do it 2. Oh it would pick up when he formed a new body, but flying in spren form isn't active. He needs voidlight per use, not for the amount of time. Because he is stronger than regals, who are stronger than warforms, who are stronger than Rosharans, who are stronger than Scadrians. Even if pewter put someone on Regal levels of strength(which I doubt) he would still be stronger. Kaladin's trained and stormlight enhanced senses weren't enough. -
Create your own Anti-Wax and Anti-Wayne

Also remember they can't compound. To kill Wax: Natural coinshot, with A-iron, a-duralumin, f-gold, and a-steel. To kill Wayne: F-steel, A-steel, F-gold, a-chromium, and a natural slider. -

Because mass doesn't exist in the SR. They were actually novices that they were training. But they can't push with steel while inside a bubble, so the radiant walks right up and impales them before they know what is happening. -
Ouch. Would adding a space at the end of your name work? I know the mods don't like it when people have similar usernames but most manuscript request accounts never post again, and it was your name first.

Why'd you change your username?

I would be surprised if bronze could track him. And he is way stronger than someone with pewter. And he doesn't need more voidlight, he will appear, grab the mistborn from behind, and stab then through the neck Here Not entirely, otherwise when Jasnah turned the boulder into stone it would have killed everyone. It's so much easier for it to be a SR/CR change that causes the PR to scramble in an attempt to reflect that and it doesn't always get it right. Which would act like a regular soothing, which we know is not debilitating, and it would only last a second. Steel is one of the fastest burning of the basic eight metals, and stormlight in gems will last far longer. Pushing on the bottom won't help when they can add braces. Basically anyone. The only Radiants who died outside the tower suppression was a single unnamed Windrunner, of unknown ideal, and one squire. That's it. A year of fighting for essentially one death. The tower fell became the Radiants own advantage was turned against them, not because Fused are powerful. Fabrials are more restrictive, and have far more limited stormlight. Why would that force them to do anything? Sit there and wait them out. -
Pretty sure I succeeded but okay.

Lezian the Pursuer. If he does that knife neck trick he did on Kaladin the Mistborn dies. It doesn't matter who they are, Kelsier, Vin, Zane, Elend, they just die. That was done intentionally. Fabrials break gemstones a lot more than radiants do. -
He also stored memories in the coin. It is never mentioned anywhere that Kelsier can't use them.

Scadrial vs. Roshar post Lost metal.
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
A bunch of people carrying weapons, and a whole lot more people than we have ever seen. The Nightwatcher has real power, she can change your species, eye color, give you gems, what sounds like Nightblood, cloth etc. -
Whitespines have an art page, you can find it in the coppermind's WoR interior art. But basically their backs are close to 7 feet tall.

That's the narrative answer. What's the in universe answer? They made multiple barracks with fabrials, which are more restrictive than Surgebinders. It doesn't matter if they're moving forward, only that they are trying to. They can keep walking for far longer than a mistborn can burn steel. -
If their close enough to use chromium, they're in division range.

No it's not, their head is exposed from beneath. As long as the shield is between them and the Mistborn they should be fine. Just don't drop the shield, the Lightweaver weighs more than the Mistborn does, by probably a good thirty pounds or more, so they get sent flying first. With only a slight rounding on the shield the coins will roll off of it. And even if they get slammed up against a wall they can last longer than the Mistborn can, just run them out of steel. Fused are barely a threat and they are far more dangerous than a Mistborn is. Oh I agree that's where it went, but my question was why. A hallway isn't a complex shape. But the wall to the main cavern was just a thick. Take the blow and keep going. That doesn't kill them, and it wastes far more of the Mistborn's resources than it does theirs. Which requires excisors. Which I would argue count as a separate magic system. -
Are you referring to Yelig-nar? The gemstone wasn't necessary, it was just the way for Yelig-nar to get into the Physical realm.

Scadrial vs. Roshar post Lost metal.
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
How does Scadrial deal with the massive hurricane class storms hitting every few days? And how do none of the thousands of spren not notice them? And Roshar is late iron age minimum. And getting Radiants and other resources off Roshar would be rather easy, even if they don't figure out the Connection trick. Just send someone to the Nightwatcher and ask for the ability. -

So the Allomancy goes around the shield but can't get under an aluminum hat? SA 5 Why would it do that? It was told to turn into smoke, so why did only a part of it do so? Beryl can make individual seeds. But we see fabrial soulcasters doing it. No it can't, stone trapped Vin in HoA. You're welcome. -

Can you use emotional allomancy though a shardblade? You can't through plate, and that's less invested, so I'm going to say probably not. -

Wheb Jasnah turned the stone into smoke in WoK, where did the excess mass go? Consistently enough they are willing to bet their lives on it. And Jasnah isn't exactly great at food herself. Electrum isn't exactly cheap, and any extra you give to the mistborn you jave to give the radiant as well. You aren't only keeping track of multiple shadows, but can react to them? What if the Lightweaver throws their blade at that moment? Stopping seems like a pretty good option. You mean Berryl and that one girl who was interested in ghostbloods? Other than them and Shallan all the ones we know of have combat experience. And just about every Mistborn will be an "ordinary" person, but if the mistborn gets combat training so does the lightweaver. I'll combine these two. After locking both of them in a hallway the Lightweaver forms a shield covered in spikes, large enough to block the hallway. After that they simply walk forward. The Mistborn can't break stone, can't hit the lightweaver, and has no way to survive. -

See I would say almost exactly the opposite. Shardblades are the king of close quarter combat. If the lightweaver can form a hallway made of stone and trap the both in their they win automatically. -
This would count as spam.

It was literally just your argument about atium mistborn applied to lightweavers. The fact that it clearly isn't mass based. Yeah, like 7 times better. Savant or not she used a fabrial, which we know has different mechanics, and additional limitations. The fight that lasted maybe a minute tops? They think Tin is the slowest, but Brandon said that was clearly not the case. That same WoB says that Gold burns increadibly fast too. Atium only has to generate a single future per person, Electrum has to do dozens. They'd win quickly you mean. Yes there is, you have to train yourself to read and react, as well as realizing that they are trapped, not merely deciding to stop. That's not true, several lightweavers were soldiers before swearing oaths. Spies and thieves, not fighters. If it wasn't I don't know what is. You are conflating multiple arguments I made, most of them done to point out holes in other people's arguments, without any context. -

Harmony healed Spook, Self-healing radiants being able to heal older wounds, Divine breath not only healing wounds, but adding to the soul so that they can make use of healed limbs/tongues. It's not surprising that Jasnah, who has had 7 years to train is more skilled than the people with one year. And Kaza was using a fabrial, so she's more limited. They fought one inquisitor at a time, in 2 vs 1's. Those fights were over quickly. Atium also doesn't burn faster when their are more people around. How would they get close enough to touch them without being in soulcasting range? Yes it is On average Lightweavers are part of a military group just by their nature. Mistborn by virtue of being genetic will have their individuals from all backgrounds and interests. It was hard for Jasnah, look at where she is. It might be hard, but they can learn. It being hard doesn't mean they don't get access to that power. That's not in their power set now is it? I'd rather you refrain from personal attacks. -

That's like saying TLR was bad at hemalurgy. Just because something is hard to do doesn't mean anyone who doesn't instantly get it is bad at it. And we know that Jasnah struggled especially early on with soulcasting. Why not use future Lightweavers with Lasers? Insta win
