Raysium doesn't cut like that, so it's not an innate property of shardmetals.

There is no physical connection between them. Iron pulls don't bend they are always a straight line If they do it late enough you will miss, they get caught in the wall. -
Scadrial vs. Roshar post Lost metal.

Humans don't have a natural desire for democracy. Just offering that, when their current situation is actually quite decent won't get you anywhere. They have reliable clean water, it comes for free every couple of days. Food is also consistent, especially with the spreading of Listener crop growing methods, and a wider availability of soulcasters. And how are you getting electricity to prove their claims? And how is that any better than what they have? Highstorms get high enough to get taller than all of Urithiru. And Horneater peaks aren't Calderas, they are literal snow coverwd peaks, with pockets of warmth near perpendicularities. Even a thousand would be a feat, Harmony struggles to get one out. And spren interact with worldhoppers all the time, at least some of them have seen guns. And why would they offer a ride? They charge for everything, and unless they want to part with their guns, they don't have anything to sell. She also offera the ability to fight forever without getting tired, so she can bestow invested abilities. -

In that specific scenario, you would have to give up on the Transformation. Pulls are only directly towards the lucher, you can't spin objects. -
Scadrial vs. Roshar post Lost metal.

Twinborn are not "arbitrarily limited" they are limited by the population, misting are 1 in a thousand according to the books, and twinborn are even more rare. We calculated it somewhere earlier, but there is not enough twinborn to make any appreciable difference. Am I the only one who read RoW? Kaladin had almost all of his powers taken away, fought a guy who could literally teleport, and still won. Wax would have perished in his first interaction with Lezian, but Kaladin would have preformed even better against the Set's forces. And he's not even the best fighter Roshar has. Taln on his own could easily take every twinborn who ever existed. When it comes to supersoldiers Roshar far outpaces Scadrial. You do not understand compounding. Compounding has hard limits, with the amount of power received being equal to the amount of metal consumed. It is far from infinate. And that's not to mention they have to be natural compounders of which maybe one has ever existed for those metals. Do you know how specific your placement has to be? You can't just hit the heart, you have to hit a very specific region of the heart. Brandon has said surgebinding is stronger. Nergoaul will take control of them. No they can't. Shardplate is stronger than anything Scadrial has other than a pewter compounder, and can easily tank anything Scadrial could throw at them. You have a lizard, not a dinosaur. -
It's steel, not Edgliium.

Raise the shield as you finish. Vin was not physically connected to the gate, she pulled it towards her, which got it going, meaning she only experienced the weight of the gate, and the force needed to get it free, then she jumped, repositioned herself, and pulled again. Meaning she experienced, only the weight of the gate. -

Jasnah didn't become good at soulcasting until she had years of practice, see RoW 755 where she mentions that when she was younger she tried begging for change, which she notes as being ineffective at the end of OB. It wasn't natural skill. -

It's not the size that's important, it's that it's a shardmetal.

Investiture is always involved. The answer, is that just like plato's forms everything is only an imperfect repetition of their spiritual and cognitive aspect. Which you wouldn't, as they would see you coming. But Vin wouldn't experience all of that force, only of breaking the gate free, and of the gate itself. The momentum of the gate would only be felt if she tried to stop it. -
Radiant spren have enough investiture to form several feet worth of shardmetal, which is far beyond what Astrixs has accomplished.

No, we didn't see his eyes, but we saw through his spike, half of the memory was regular, the other half was a bunch of steel lines. And you can see your own arms.

Why do people not competely not represent their Spiritual/cognitive aspects? Running straight forward seems like an equally appealing option, those shadows are still moving, and it allows them to make an offensive. We see her dress though, and there's no blood on it. And breaking the stone would be in the high tens to low hundreds of thousands of pounds. -
Elsecallers create mini-perpendicularities but they have nowhere near the same investiture as Bondsmiths. Breath is more inclined towards sentience, allowing it to achieve it at lower investiture than stormlight would.

Close. I believe that the change that the Soulcaster does is entirely in the Cognitive/spiritual realms, and that results in a change in the physical realm, which is not entirely perfect. Why would they dodge? Eveb with electrum the only shadows that stop moving are the ones to the side. Staying where you are seems safe. The shield I would agree with, but the wall would totally be absorbed. And Shallan isn't a Windrunner. It was a wooden gate, one that if I do recall had already almost been ripped of their hinges by the Koloss. That's less force than pulverizing the dudes head was. -
Oh it would take millions of spheres, but that doesn't mean that these "areas where honor's investiture gathers" aren't collecting stormlight. What makes you say that?

Mine, and it also has similarities to other magic systems like Tzai blows. That are more limited and weaker, so radiants could make it alone, and with practice. They experience a lot of kinetic energy that wouldn't harm them, until they hit an unmovable object. That's a fall. Was it more force? How large was the gate, what was the gate made of, did she slowly bring herself to a stop, or was it instantaneous? -
What? No, it was very clear that a single spren bonded all of them, and very clear that that spren qas Nergaoul. OB 1092.
