  1. There is a theory that Honor split in a similar way to Adonalsium. Perhaps the Dawnshards are those pieces? Not sure if they would still be called Splinters if that's the case.
  2. I don't feel like Szeth has had the time to kill Gaz.
  3. "Those voices, ringing out, la la la la la..." Definitely my favorite AVPS song, and it tops anything in AVPM. Currently listening to This is War by 30 Seconds to Mars.
  4. It just means that you have to schedule with him in order for him to respond to you.
  5. SPOILERS! Snape killed Gaz!
  6. George R. R. Martin did the same joke with A Dance with Dragons. I guess great authors of properly long fantasies think along the same lines.
  7. I would like to announce that today is a day to be very careful on the interwebs... April Fools day is well known for its viruses that get spread like crazy. And people are finally starting to target Macs with viruses, so Mac users, don't think you're safe.
  8. This would have been the most cruel April Fools joke ever, had I not just been thinking about the day.
  9. So I've noticed that a lot of us are in college right now, and several of us are either just out of college or just about to get into it, so I was thinking we could share our majors and our reasons for picking them. I'm currently a physical geography major, and am considering double majoring in that and creative writing. I was originally a music education major, but I realized that I have absolutely no desire to practice music ever. So I switched colleges (I didn't like my original college) and decided to try out geology, because I love studying earthquakes and volcanoes. I took physical geography and meteorology along with a geology class my first term there. I hated my geology teacher, but found myself loving learning about the weather and climate. And the teachers were amazing and enthusiastic about their subject. And I realized the geography is a subject about literally everything, from how people interact with each other to how cold fronts work. And creative writing... I realized last summer that I actually really enjoy writing fiction. So, anyone else? What major are you, were you, or do you plan on being?
  10. I don't really write poetry often, and I don't write poetry for the same reasons I write fiction, so I don't think I'll be taking place in this. I'm already behind on everything else I'm doing anyway.
  11. What rules would these be?
  12. Well... we're now only a thousand votes ahead. Probably due to all the ASOIAF posts that I have been seeing on Facebook. Is there a second pocket of WoT fans we can call upon?
  13. Or possibly some force is making the tilt change periodically?
  14. Frodo's gift is in the not extended version, so it actually isn't surprising. The rest of the gifts aren't, though, and it's a cool scene. Return of the King has the coolest extra scenes, in my opinion.
  15. Wheel of Time fans are loyal, and Brandon earned our loyalty. It can sometimes be a good thing to have an army of millions. If by sometimes you mean always, of course.
  16. No, while I'm doing more work than the rest of the group, that's due to the logistics of the assignment. We actually are attempting to split the work around the three of us.
  17. WE GONNA DO TINGS... DE UMBRIDGE WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY In other news, I spent this morning listening to Avenue Q.
  18. I'm pretty sure I remember Brandon once saying that names in the Central Dominance were French sounding in his head, making Kelsier "Kel-see-ay". Ever since I realized that there are loads of connections between Mistborn and the French Revolution, I've been pronouncing it as such.
  19. Anyone here start in 1990 (when the series first began)? Because I feel kind of bad complaining about the wait I've gone through when I think about those who've been with it for... 21 years now.
  20. I would like to announce that group projects fail when the group only has one chance to meet, and the meeting only lasts an hour.
  21. For my first book: "The Darkness always seemed to throb when Donovan was around this boy." Second book: "Screams sounded in every direction through the city known as Liranonal." For my one act: "I'm dead, you know."
  22. Hurricanes are condensed, I was comparing them to country wide storms we get in the midlatitudes in the winter. Sorry, size doesn't mean much in my head.
  23. In terms of size of a storm, I figure they're about twice the size of a large hurricane from what I've read. Compared to the storms we get in the midlatitudes, that's pretty small. Means they're more intense, though.
  24. Holy bad words, Batman! Vin's votes DOUBLED in only a few hours! o.O
  25. Then Highstorms aren't natural in any way. Natural storms, such as hurricanes, have a circular shape. They can't sustain themselves without that shape. Especially a storm as small as a Highstorm.
