That is a fair point I forgot but note Kaladin's reaction as well as the way Lirin explains it. The massive age difference is a thing nobles sometimes do for political reasons not something that Kaladin is particularly comfortable with.

In WoKp Dalinar is actually betrothed to a much younger woman and finds the entire practice dishonorable. I believe Shallan was at least 21 when she got married to Adolin who was max 24(earth years). We don't really see any married couples who have large differences in age in alethkar which I think is noteworthy.

Kaladins and leshwi’s relationship moving forward

Even if in expressing that view they are doing real harm? Think what you want. I can't change anyone's mind unless they are receptive but I do think we all have an obligation to say so when we find someone's speech unacceptable.- 35 replies

Ooooh. Taking this further if the Mink is in fact a surgebinder perhaps he put the ruby their and sent the message at the behest of his spren.

Yes. I realized that afterward. I can't find any references at all to the journal of trauma and dissociation which worries me a bit but your preferences tot avoid a heated argument on this sensitive subject should be noted by everyone(including me).

Winces. I meant the left. Neither are artists or basically any willshaper and yet plenty of them live productive healthy useful lives. There is a fairly big jump between unreliable and self destructive. I would not characterize Kaladin's depth of feeling or capacity to be responsible as a weakness nor do I feel that doing so is fair. It would be tragic. I don't know if I would consider it a waste of time. What if she finds a reasonable self aware concordat between all her personalities? She might not be able to fully reintegrate. She also might not want to. What @Pathfinder said. Also I believe what you are quoting is from the 2005 guidelines. A complete reevaluation of those was made in 2009 and again in 2011.

I am afraid that that is not a reputable source.

Because Shallan is married to Adolin and Veil has agreed not to use the body in ways that would make Shallan unfaithful. That is completely false given the modern understanding of DID. Veil and Shallan are as different as Cultivation and Ruin. Not all people with DID reintegrate. Finding a concordat between alters is often preferable. It almost lead him to suicide that did in fact almost cause him to be unable to protect people. It also does make him less effective at many aspects of combat and leadership. Someone with DID can be self aware. The existence of alters does not preclude self awareness.

Everything is a process. I think cautious optimism is a more realistic prognosis.

Karger replied to Ironwill2112's topic in Cosmere Discussion

I joined the shard to get Aether of Night. Believe it or not I had no real understanding of the cosmere at the time. Then I went kind of crazy and now here I am.

Shallan's is better then she was in OB or WoR. She no longer ignores Veil or Radiant and is becoming a bit more comfortable with herself and getting closer to the truth.

So Veil really can't she just drinks more. It is a difference in attitude and comfort levels not biology. It is also Veil's body. Thanks to stormlight we don't have to worry about liver poisoning or hangovers and Shallan appears comfortable with Veil using the body on occasion just like Veil is comfortable with Shallan using the body. Think about how it must look from Veil's end. I sometimes get the body so I can go drinking but Shallan gets to have sex and she uses our mutual body to do it with one of my friends. Shallan is still figuring some stuff out. I do think she is getting better.

I am going to say yes. You can summon a blade so you should be able to burn a metal. Possible although plate is adaptable(this is why different people can where it despite different body sizes) so it might be able to compensate.- 14 replies

Unfortunately I don't think Hoid can do that right now. In the original WoKp there is actually a character who is a psychiatrist(more or less) and is actually quite good at it. Solidarity. Hoid has a lot of practice reading people. He certainly understands what Shallan is feeling although I doubt he did the detective work to find out the specific causes(even though he certainly could have if he wanted to).

Welcome to the shard! Stormlight archive is better then mistborn.

Welcome to the shard. No it did not. Only specially cleared members of the five races are permitted to handle hyperdrives and generally those are only used on capital ships. As such Spensa could only do what Alanik let her, teleport to starsight.
